About Damn Delicious®

Damn Delicious® was simply a hobby, but now it’s my full-time job.

Coming from a very traditional Korean household, I was destined to be one of three things: a lawyer, a dentist or a doctor. So as a grad school hobby, I created a Tumblr account in April 2011 to document some of my favorite recipes. I had one reader, making less than $0.30 per month.

But 11 years later, Damn Delicious® has grown into something that I never thought possible. I have connected with readers all over the world, conquered so many culinary feats in my kitchen, and collaborated with brands that I always dreamed to work with.

Damn Delicious has even grown into an amazing team of individuals working together to create the best possible recipes. We create recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and videos that focus on quick and easy meals for the everyday home cook to show you that it really doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal completely from scratch.

About Chungah

Originally from Queens, I moved to Los Angeles in 2000, residing in sunny 75 degree weather for 19 years before moving to Chicago in 2019 with my then-fiance, Ben, and 5-year old corgi, Butters.

Cartman, our second corgi, has been the latest addition to our family.

Butters & Cartman are the most adorable duo, but they are also deceptively cute. Please do not be fooled – they are a crazy pair of stumpers who love to roll in poo. But we still love them to death and spoil them rotten whenever possible.

Due to COVID-19, our wedding celebration with friends and family had been postponed (and now cancelled) but Butters and Cartman still threw on their grey tuxedos as we exchanged vows in a small intimate ceremony at our rooftop home in June, 2020.

Damn Delicious® is a registered trademark of Chungah Rhee.

  1. Is there a way to save your recipes either than Pinterest? I do not have it and I have no desire to be on it.

  2. I enjoy each suggestion – being a senior with lots fo time…I try but also send receipes to friends especially wives that enjoy cooking. We live in several states so enjoy the cultural exposure…my weakness is not cooking a firm but tasty corn or flour tortilla before the ingredients – perhaps you could provide some tips?
My wife and I live in New Mexico, Arizona and California…we are lucky but my results on the stove not so good. We also love Korean movies on netflix!

  3. Hi Chungah,  I just wanted to let you know I love your recipes and I have never made one that I didn’t love.  Your website is one of my go to sites when I’m looking for something delicious to make.
Thanks!!!  Give Butters and Cartman a pet for me.  I’m a huge corgi fan.

  4. What sort of salad or veg side should I serve with your delicious peanut chicken noodle dish??

  5. Been following you for years, and I cannot recommend you enough! I think my friends are tired of me always recommending you and your website. We even made an entire Thanksgiving dinner last year with exclusively Damn Delicious recipes. SO GOOD! Thank you for making meals that are doable in the kitchen.

  6. Found your Shrimp Carbonara to make for my wife on Valentine’s Day.  We had all of your simple, healthy ingredients.  It was a huge hit!  Delicious, easy, fast and you never know, might even help me get lucky!!  I’ll be following Damn Delicious from now on!

  7. I have just found Damn Delicious. I will be trying your recipes.

  8. I have followed you forever… and to confirm… I found your Harvest Chicken Salad that I saved in Feb 2013!  I LOVE knowing that each of your recipes are tested, confirmed and delicious…. Damn Delicious  Thank you for all you do!  ~Melanie

  9. Hello,

I’ve been making your Korean beef bowl for the past few years – and every time one of my three daughters comments on how much better mine tastes than any they’ve ever made I tell them “It’s because you don’t have the right recipe!”
I know very little about Korean food or culture but I’m looking forward to learning more as a new subscriber.

  10. Found you because I forgot to buy canned sloppy joe sauce. What a great mistake!!! I’ve made 3 different recipes since that, all have been amazing. Super simple and yummy! Can’t wait to explore more. Thanks!

  11. Can’t wait to try it all!! My friend highly recommended you!

  12. I cannot wait to try everything I’ve seen so far, my friend suggested you and I’m a well seasoned cook, so many new things on here!

  13. I cannot wait to try these recipes, I’m a seasoned cook and am seeing so many new ideas already!

  14. I found you on Pinterest as I was searching for quinoa recipes.  I recently watched a documentary on Netflix about You are what you eat and it was eye opening.  So I am going to try and cook recipes high in protein without using meat.  Thank you for your recipes and I hope to see more of them.

  15. Would love any easy, few ingredients recipes IBS friendly, especially any baked deserts gluten free). And hot chocolate / cocoa recipe which is not full of sugar.

  16. My friends and I cherish your recipes, absolutely fresh, flavorful and delicious.
You are my go do meal planning for my week

  17. The pictures of the dogs are really adorable. I love your site. I have one question. I can’t eat dairy products. They make me very ill at this point in my “delicate” condition. I am an almost 70 year old woman. I have survived Ovarian Cancer stage 3-C for the past 30 years. I have also done far better than predicted in terms of an operation which I had to have on my spine in 2011. I am a survivor of physical, psychological as well as sexual abuse. I have no memory of ever not being in pain for my life. I know that dairy products make things harder for me. Do you have any alternative ingredients you can suggest, perhaps soy?

  18. very entertaining

  19. I would like to see if you have an unbelievable recipe for reasonable hot chocolate? We are having 60 chior kids come over in a few days, plus 120 parents, and likely a few additional brothers and sisters. Thus the ask for reasonable as well.

We love your stuff. More good stuff!

    Thanks,

    Brett

  20. I love what you do with sheet pans. I will be trying your sheet pan Macaroni & cheese. Thank you for your creations and inspiration. You inspire me to cook, while recuparating from a leg fracture vs making sandwiches.

  21. OMG! You are adorable! I loved reading all about your journey and seeing those adorable fur babies!

  22. Happy thanksgiving.  Thanks for your cooking ideas.  I tried your rosemary bread recipe, but after 22 hours, tightly covered, the dough mixture was just like it was when i put it together.  Just now tried to add to skillet to double in size but don’t think it’s going to.  Any thoughts what went wrong?

  23. I would love to get your recipes!

  24. Hi Chungah, I’m big fan of your work! A few years ago I stumbled upon your pancetta & herb stuffing and I bookmarked the webpage a dozen times, but to my dismay the webpage is no longer available https://people.com/food/chungah-rhee-pancetta-herb-stuffing-thanksgiving-recipe and I’m so bummed I didn’t save the actual recipe pdf. I’ve searched your site and found a few recipes that are close, but not the exact pancetta & herb stuffing recipe that I remember. Would you be willing to re-share that original recipe? Many thanks for considering, Chungah

  25. Hello, printed out your Easy Thai Shrimp Soup recipe back in 2015. Absolutely love ❤️ it! It is Damn Delicious! Looking forward to trying other “easy” recipes. My guy and I are above 70 yrs and want easy prep and cook. Keep up the good work.

  26. Hello Chungah,

I am an absolute disaster in the kitchen. However, I have made your Easy Chicken Tacos several times and they have turned out great every time. Yahooooo! I have told all my friends about your site. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

    Sandy

  32. Chungah, I LOVE every one of your recipes that I’ve made!  You’re my first go-to for pretty much everything.  I feel like I’m your Swiftie (as in Taylor).  What can we call you??

  33. Great story Chungah. I can’t thank you enough for helping me step up my cooking game. The first recipe I tried was the “Skillet Sun-dried Tomato Chicken Thighs”. My family was so impressed. I’ve been hooked ever since! Every one of your recipes I have tried has been a hit. You sure do know how to season food and your instructions and tips make it so easy to prepare delicious dishes every day! I have your cook book too. People like you make the world a better place.

    Take Care-Brooke

  35. I really like every recipe on your site and have made many. I have recommended it to several people.
One recipe I do not see on your site is Thom Yum soup. It is a favorite of mine. I would love to see your “take” on this wonderful dish

  36. Greetings from Houston! I love your recipes, Chungah, and enjoyed seeing pictures of your handsome husband, wedding and adorable pups. Am glad you DIDN’T become a doctor, lawyer or dentist. The culinary world would have been at a loss without your talent. Having 2 dogs of my own, I can well understand your difficulties either leaving your 4-legged friends behind on your restaurant tours, or taking them along in all this summer heat. So glad you’re able to use take-out dishes for inspiration, and share your own at-home improvements on them with your faithful followers.

  37. Loved hearing your story…clicked on it by mistake… It was a good mistake….

  38. Thank you very much for allowing me to come back on my Facebook page to follow you. I totally forgot that I emailed and apologized for something that I must’ve said and got booted out of there but I’m so very thankful I just checked and I can now again follow your posts.
Congratulations on your son I love seeing your little clips and the dogs are absolutely wonderful with him. Have a great day.

  39. I’ve been following you on Pinterest for years! I have made and shared som many of your recipes! ❤️

  40. I kept seeing your dishes on Facebook and finally googled you. I can’t wait to try your recipes – they look amazing. We live in the Chicago suburbs, my daughter’s favorite dogs are Corgis and we all love South Park, so small world!

  41. How exciting! Congratulations! I think I used to follow you years ago? When you were in school? Anyway, a fun blog. We were just in Korea and the food!!!!!

  42. I’ve been following you for many years & so glad you’re blog is successful. I think your Photography is amazing–the best of anything I’ve seen. It really adds to the scrumptious-ness of all your recipes. Congratulations & keep it coming!

  43. Found your website through a link for Thai Chicken Buddha Bowl. It was fabulous! Looking forward to eating my way through your recipes :).

  44. Hi: I’m a recently retired bachelor living in Springfield, IL. I came across your baked spaghetti recipe with cream cheese, sour cream, etc; and liked it. It is a little different, but easy; just what I like. I looked at your online site, and many of your recipes look like things I would enjoy. I worked in Seoul at Walker Hill for a while when I was young. I was a skater in an ice show there. Great fun, and I loved everything about Korea. So, I am wishing you and your team luck; and I would be interested in any Korean spin you might be able to add to your recipes. if you felt like doing that.

  45. Hi, my daughter turned me on to your recipes and now here I am, excited to get all of them to choose from not just the ones she makes and remembers to send.
And, your Corgis are Crazy Cute and absolutely adorable.

  46. Have been a fan for several years and made a lot of your recipes. Keep up the good work and love those cut dogs always (and your husband). All the best.

  47. Discovered you on facebook with a recipe that popped up – French Chicken Casserole. This was out of this world delicious. Now I am following you and going through recipes on your website.

You are such an amazing cook with outstanding recipes.

Your back story is so interesting too, and love the photos of Butters and Cartman

  51. Hi Chungah and team : my name is Celeste Roberts and I’m from Hilliard Ohio. I just wanted to pass along a message . I ran across your recipes years ago by random searching . You have been my main recipe search for almost 5+ years . I love, love your simple recipes and am a huge fan ! Your clean ingredients are perfect for my family and especially now that my husband just had open heart surgery . Thank you and keep it up !!

    Best, Celeste

  52. Absolutely love your slow cooker recipes! It’s really inspired me to do a lot more of my share of cooking. Your enchilada stack is my husband’s favourite meal of all time – and whenever I’m now slow cooking, he’s bbqing something on the Big Green Egg! I would like to ask though, if there would be a way of having the option of switching the amounts between cups and ml/g etc? I keep having to calculate how much I need of something and it can get a tad frustrating… thank you!!

  53. Google took me to your site the other day for a recipe for InstantPot burrito bowls. We just finished the leftovers today – what a great dish! I have been combing through your “Quick and Easy” recipes and have several more meals planned already. Thanks so much!

  54. I know your life had its challenges but I enjoyed your story book timeline, marriage and smile; It made my morning reading it. I came to your page via my wife who has tried and we have enjoyed YOUR recipes. The internet is a wonderful thing but never tells the whole story when someone as yourself puts yourself out there. I just want to thank you for your site, your story and some really good cooking. I pray you continue in your life successfully.

  55. I’ve been following you for years. I’m so happy for your success

Congratulations and if you and the husband are ever in the area I’d be honored to meet you.

  61. Stopped by to get a god roasting time for my Shrooms, Saw some interesting meals. I am super low carb for health reasons so I’m going to follw and see what I can use. I may use the same ingredients but I can guarantee you I never make the same dish twice! Unless of course it’s one of mom’s lol

  62. Hello, love your recipes! Please tell me about the Staub pan shown with the best stew ever recipe. It has double silver metal handles. I cannot find one like it, they all have a different style handle. Also is it cast iron and what size? Thank you. Jeff

  63. Did your Thai red curry noodle soup last night. Superb!

  64. J and B
Howdy from east Yexas. Your recipes are out standing. Latest one received is corn beef cabbage. a favorite of mine. My question is, Do you have a recipe for corn beef and also pastrami (scatch).

    Thank you

  65. Congratulations on your continued success! My husband and son are picky eaters. Luckily your site provides many tasty and easy meals that they will happily eat! Thank you!

  66. can you post your original mac n cheese with cauliflower recipe with sour cream, onions, parmesan and what not. I am so sad, my computer broke and so my original saved copy is gone. The new recipe is great, but I did like the old one better. You had only one corgi back then and you had pictures of it and it was so cute. So it is an older but awesome recipe. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!

  67. I am looking for your Chinese Chicken Salad recipe. I made it once and it was so good. Now, I can’t find it.

    And your recipes are rocking.
All the best to you and your husband. And dogs.

  74. Someone who loves food and Corgis? Yeah, I’m all in.

  75. Are you in a netflix show called cook at all cost? Episode 1? The one where you made mandu with no sauce even though you had garlic ginger kimchi cilantro to puree and mix with the sweet chili?????

  76. Wondering about Cheddar Broccoli soup. 5 C chopped broccoli. Is it 5 C. florets, then chop or chop until you reach 5 C ? It would make a difference.

  77. Chungah, thank you for sharing your story and a much belated congratulations on your rooftop wedding! You two make a beautiful couple! Does your husband share your passion for the culinary arts?
Best wishes for a very MERRY CHRISTMAS and the coming NEW YEAR!
P.S. I do enjoy the recipes on Damn Delicious!!

  78. I love it!!!  Your story about growing your business and loving life with your husband and those two crazy Corgis is sublime – we all need some uplifting lately and your story (forwarded to me by a friend) is just that!  Thank you (from another owner of a crazy Corgi)!!!

  79. Hi Chunga, I don’t usually take the time to do this but felt really compelled to tell you about my family’s Thanksgiving. We are a blended family of kids and grandbabies ranging in age from 1 to ummmm it’s about the trips around the sun right?! 🙂

There were a total of 10 of us so not big but big enough to cook for everyone which I LOVE doing but really wanted to things to be a bit simpler so I could spend time with my family and yet of course serve and eat delicious food!! I have followed you on Damn Delicious for awhile now and you are 1 of 2 places I always look first for recipes….so Thanksgiving was no different! Our dinner was comprised of almost every single dish being one of yours (including the turkey) and I cannot tell you, or thank you enough, for such amazing recipes that were easy and allowed me to achieve the Thanksgiving I really wanted….to spend time with my beautiful family AND have delicious food!!

You are an incredible chef/cook and wanted you to know that this Thanksgiving in particular, I was so grateful for you! We actually coined our our Thanksgiving this year as “The Best Damn Delicious Thanksgiving!!” Cheers to you talented woman!!

  80. Congratulations! What a story. I’m sure the names Butters and Cartman speak for themselves. Just do not add a third, Kenny for the Kitchen. I will try your Shrimp Scampi recipe for Spaghetti Squash tonight (with my own twist). Great start. I ended up as one of the three you managed to avoid, but I still cook! Keep it going and once again, best to both of you in 2023 and beyond.

  81. Excellent Recipes. Thank you

  82. On the slow cooker cream corn recipe…how do I increase the recipe and cook time to double the recipe?
or at least 8 to 10 people to serve.
    appreciate your help!

    • Everything I’ve read is that there is no change in time. If you want to be on the safe side, check it’s tenderness at the stated cook time then cook another 10-20 minutes if it isn’t tender enough. Heating it to a simmer only takes a few minutes longer for double the recipe.

  83. I just came across your site looking for a creamy mushroom recipe and I’m here to stay!

My husband has always been the cook of the family but as his work is skyrocketing, I found myself responsible for cooking dinner. After three months of eating the one “decent” dish I would cook he suggested I look online and follow recipes. Well, guess what. Now I can cook. Typically I don’t venture far from recipes but I’m learning to put my own touches on dinner. I’ll tackle James Beard’s Osso Bucchi and I think I made Laurent Torendel’s Short Ribs even better!

It’s websites like yours that gave me hope (and instruction) for ME! Thank you!

  84. Love your satay chicken recipe.  That is what inspired me to check out your site.  Read the about you section and loved the dogs and your story.

  85. I stumbled upon your recipe when I was looking for gravy recipe for my student.  I’m so inspired to see a Korean-American publishing these fantastic recipes.  As a fellow Asian-American, myself and a person who grew up in California now in Chicago, I feel a connection.  I can’t wait to try the fall pumpkin donut holes! Thanks for the motivation. I wish you only the best!

  86. I love your lemon chicken. Best recipe I have found. Shared it several times and it is a big hit.
Love your website and the story of you, your husband and, of course, Butters and Cartman, who are just divine. If I ever started a blog, I would make sure my adorable and beautiful Jack Russell, Dotty, played a starring role. You guys – and your food – is just the best.

  87. Thank you for the great recipes you been putting out. I made the Cold Fighting Chicken Noodle Soup.
I have to admit. That was the best chicken noodle soup I ever tasted. Made it for the g-kids that have a cold. I know they will enjoy it. Now will be making lots of it. Thank you so much once again.

  88. Thank you for all the work you and your team do on these recipes. I love browsing blogs for recipes when there’s something I want to make. Wherever I see yours pop up, I know it’s going to be good, well tested, and perfected.

One of my kids favorites is the clam chowder. Yum!

  89. LOVE those pups! Crazy about your food!!

  90. BEST OF LUCK 2022-23

  91. Love your recipes, love your dogs! Just wanted to let you know that I like your dog food recipe, but new info has come out that dogs should not eat peas. They actually contribute to heart disease. Strange, but true. https://www.akc.org/expert-advice/news/peas-linked-dcm-canine-heart-disease/

  92. Your recipes have made my family so happy! Our youngest has severe food allergies and many of your recipes are a perfect match for his special diet! Your bio is so sweet and we now have a new favorite place to call home for new and delicious recipes! God bless you and your dear family!

  93. I love making your many recipes!  When searching for specific recipes, I always use yours!  Everything I’ve ever made using your recipes has turned out fabulous!

  94. I stumbled upon your recipes a few years ago. I am not much of a cook. I found your  site easy to follow but most importantly delicious! Loved reading your background. As a fellow Korean and living in chicago- wish you the best! PS your corgis are adorable

  95. I”m so proud of you for having a dream and making it happen! I’m about to make your white bean and spinach soup. Can’t wait for it to be done. That and those damn delicious biscuits pictures would be fabulous together. Rock on and never stop.

  96. Y’all are just plain cute and so anointed by Jesus Christ!

  97. I stumbled onto Damn Delicious at least 5 years ago….

I tested out some of your sheet pan recipes on my family and passed along recipes. Since then our daughters finished college and live independently following their careers.

Our daughter from San Diego called to tell me that she made your wonderful PF Chang’s Lettuce Cups for dinner last night and had leftovers for lunch.  Thanks for sharing your skills and recipes and for inspiring other young women.

    You are a gem, Chungah!

  98. Darn good food

  99. Beautiful! From 76 yr old male. Carbondale,Illinois.

  100. I have been trained, in French and Italian cooking as an amateur.  In France at my favourite restaurant ever in the Lot area which I used so often that the greeter Noel and Jaque the chef became good friends. When he was devastated when a top chef visited the restaurant with friends and used salt on a black truffle dish he created I commiserated and he finally calmed down. He knew of my interest in cooking and on our next holiday he invited me into his kitchen to learn some of his techniques. For five years I spent most of my holidays working in his kitchen and for the last two years I would cook some of the starters and sometimes a main corse or two. An amazing experience for me.
I have read your story and am trying one of your recipes this week when long time friends are here for lunch. Am looking forward to the experience. Just one thing, this is Europe/England .and we don’t us cups as measures so will have to look up how many ml a half cup is. Thank you and I hope you continue to enjoy your life with your husband

  101. Awesome Site Thank You , I can tell recipe’s  are tested as published on your site not much tweeking if any is need to make dishes correct !!!

  102. Those pups are damn cute!

  103. Congratulations on your nuptials!  My go to for an easy family favorite is your PF Chang chicken lettuce wraps!  You miraculously turned my picky 2nd daughter (who wouldn’t eat anything green) onto lettuce!!!  Now, as a teen, she eats a wide variety of veggies: brussel sprouts, mushrooms, she even orders salads!  Thank you!!!!  Your instant pot recipes also came in clutch when we were stuck at home during a recent winter storm down here in TX!  We ate like royalty!  By the way, 2nd gen Korean American and love your Asian recipes too!

  104. Great recipe.  I look forward to more of your recipes.

  105. Thank you Chungah, for sharing your gifts with the world.  Your recipes are amazing!
    With much appreciation,

  106. Hi Chungah,
I am now addicted to your Korean beef bulgogi recipe. I’m trying it with chicken thighs tonight. I’ve used 3 different cuts of beef with it so far, flank, rib eye, & flap, and like the flap the best. My son likes the flank the best. We’re splitting hairs here, because all three are incredible. Looking forward to more recipes, and am very happy you like dogs. We have two. They like the bulgogi, too.

  107. Hello Chungah and Ben,

Firstly it was lovely to see and hear about your happiness and success together.
I think dogs are indeed an important part of family life as they love us every day unconditionally living in the moment.

I discovered your website by speaking to a Korean man and talking about Bulgogi and Kimchi.

As a chef and nutritionist I thought wow the perfect combination.

I hope to hear and read about more of your recipes and I am sure I will learn even more about cooking.

    Thank you
    Kind regards
    David

  108. Chungah , You have done some great recipes on your site, do one for chicken scaloppini, use to get it at Papa Vino’s in Grand Rapids, MI, just a little way from you across the lake, it was incredible the they closed it and the gal who was the chef is now no were to be found. Think they still have some restaurants , maybe in Ft Wayne or South Bend IND.

    Regards, Douglas

  109. This is an amazing website with delicious recipes. Thank you and your team. Much love and happiness to you and your husband. Adorable pictures and those Corgis are so very sweet, keep up the great website.
    Respectfully,
    Robin

  110. Such a sweet and loving story…You adapted well to the curve ball “COVID” sent you and your wedding was probably even more precious because of the challenges you had to face together.  Wishing you both as long and happy marriage as I have had (59 years when my hubby passed on 2/2/22).  Sending you lots of well wishes and hugs for when you need them.   BLESSINGS!

  111. Damn Delicious can do no wrong!  Thank you to Chungah and her team…this is my go-to website whenever I am in the mood to try out something different to make for my family and friends.  I have especially enjoyed her InstaPot recipes…easy to follow and absolutely delicious…damn delicious!  Today I will be trying for the first time some of the dessert recipes.  Thank you again and again!!

  112. I am a newcomer to your site. I saw it through Pocket, and have saved a few recipes. I can’t wait to try them out!

  113. your dog’s names are amazing

  114. LOVE your recipes but cannot access them today?? Error message. Is it just me?

“There has been a critical error on this website.”

    Thank you!

  115. sweet story!

  116. Do you think your No Knead Rosemary Bread would easily convert to a gluten free bread by using gluten free flour? My husband is celiac and looking for a bread he can eat.

    • Hi Sandra. Saw your post about gluten free flour. I have used Bob’s Redmill 1:1 gluten free flour in recipes (something different or when I don’t want to mill any flour) and have had no issues. Hard to tell the difference. Good luck.

  117. I really enjoy your website.  You have the most flavorful and easy to make recipes.  Thank you and keep it up.

  118. Can’t wait to start using my instant pot. I found your website looking for recipes for my instant pot that I haven’t learned to use yet. So if you can refer me some ideas I will be happy. Thank you and congrats on your wedding. Beautiful family.

  119. I adore your website!! You have delicious recipes that shake things up in all the right ways. My husband and kids are thankful that I finally found you. Please don’t ever leave me!!

  120. Damn Delicious is right! I found your cook books as I was looking to meal prep to help me stay on track with some weight loss goals.  Who knew dieting could taste so good!  I love that not only are you recipes easy to follow, taste great but you have included all the nutritional information which is critical for me right now.  I am the envy of everyone when I go into the office. Thank You!

  121. Just discovered your page—and, so happy—right away subscribed, which I don’t usually do:) I’ll also tell others about it because your recipes are the Best! I like your suggestions for those who are vegan, etc… really cover everything/everyone’s eating choice/diet & I want to thank you for that! The Best To You & Your  Beautiful Family-God Bless!

  122. Thank you so much for your amazing recipes!
I have your cookbook and the Bang Bang chicken is my girls (and me) favourite! But truthfully everything I make from your collection has truly been delicious!
    Thank you from Eastern Ontario

  123. I don’t often subscribe to email recipes. Your dog cookie recipe caught my eye. We have several dogs in the family. So, I bought the cutters and I am ready to start production.

I have a true love for Asian people. I worked with several in Toronto when I lived in Southern Ontario. In fact, I loved (and miss) the real Dim Sum restaurants in TO which they used to take me to. I have lived in Sault Ste Marie Ontario for just over 30 years now. I am retired. So I am doing lots of cooking. My wife Collen is the baker. We have 2 “kids” in the city. Both have kids on the way … woot woot!!!!

I must say that you are truly gorgeous. I just know that Ben has to be a very special guy. He is also very lucky. I wish the two of you as many years, and more, than Colleen and I have had thus far. We celebrate 34 years in October.

  124. I’ve just discovered your blog and I’ve fell in love with the authenticity of the recipes that you are sharing.

  125. Just wanted to say how much I love your recipes…they are always down to earth, easy to make, and delicious. A big thank you all the way from Israel!

  126. Your corgi’s are so damncute!  Love your recipes your one of my best go to receive sites!

  127. So happy to have come across your great recipes. I’m cooking for three teens, two toddlers and 4 adults. What a challenge! We’re grilling your Easy Grilled Vegetables today. Because everyone’s taste varies, we’re adding some things and omitting others, but I know we’ll love it. Thank again and congratulations.

  128. I finally found it I think under game day, you didn’t have a dip menu, lol CREAMY CHORIZO QUESO DIP

    Thanks looks great. Stony

  129. Great pics, and roof top view,, you two lucky people, and I’m right across the lake in Grand
Rapids, yall have so many great recipes, now after reading and thinking you had all these in your head I see some are from others, who cares, they are all great. One question , in your profile page about the roof top wedding, at the start you show a pic of a dish that looks like sausage, cheese jalapenos peppers, and more, What is it and where is the recipe??? Thanks so much.

  130. I think the four of you should be in a TV commercial or print ad. You make such a beautiful couple and your babies are beautiful. I saw someone posted you should have a “real” child. Don’t let anyone make you think or feel you are not complete without having a child. You have a beautiful family right now.

  131. You two are beautiful and so are your two little ones. One day, hope to see your for real little one. I can’t wait…he or she will be so amazing.

My nieces use your recipes and are the ones who told me all about you.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

    Respectfully…

  132. yeah man. put a smile on my face.

  133. Just found your recipes and already started saving. Love the instructions & steps. Congrats on your marriage. You both look so happy. By the way, you have the prettiest teeth I’ve ever seen. Blessings on you both.

  134. Kishron

After reading the comments, I am indeed curious to start making your tasty recipes.

  135. I just found this site…printed 2 recipes, read about you. You are adorable….I’m sure much older than you look, since you are married with 2 dogs. But you look like a kid. Anyway….I love the recipes I found and I will sign up for email but I was curious if you have nutritional values for the recipes. It would mean a lot to me if you did. If not I will try and calculate myself for I am starting a restrictive diet shortly. Doctors orders.  I’m sure other people would like to know also. I don’t know if you can though. Anyway, I’m glad I happened upon your site and will look forward to your recipes. And congrats on your marriage. May you have love and happiness and few bumps in the road. All the best Laine

  136. I have really enjoyed being on your email list and saving recipes that seem simple but tasty. Also sharing in your growth has also been enjoyable. We have homes in Hermosa Beach, Ca and Santa Fe, NM…my wife and daughter also appreciate the presentation and easy to copy tasty treats. Chicken dishes and Asian tasty plates enrich our lives as do hearing about your emotional and professional growth. I just noticed that I sent a reply April 20th 2021

  137. I am new to this. Anxious to start reading and making your recipes. It sounds like I won’t be disappointed.

  138. Your recipes are always so consistent and delicious. Thank you for helping expand my culinary horizons!

  139. Loved the beef barley stew recipe; easy , spot on and and looking forward to other offerings from you as a flavor touchstone from time to time !
    Gamsahamnida !
    Chef Gregory

  140. I loved reading your story and I am very proud of you just keep up the good work. I would like to. Wish you and your Husband all the Happiness that God can send your way

  141. You had me at “damn” and I often find myself going down the rabbit hole of your recipe catalog for reference and inspiration (I was hoping to find a pancit recipe…). I truly enjoy your site, and thanks for sharing with your fellow foodies!

  142. I don’t recall where I found the Korean Beef Bowl recipe….but I will be making it tonight for dinner, along with a traditional Filipino side called tortang talong (eggplant torta, or omelet). The recipe sounds damn delicious (see what I did there?), and I can’t wait to have it tonight. Gamsahabnida, Chungah-unni!

    • I made the korean beef bowl, and my father loved it (he is notoriously picky)!!!  Threat recipe Chungah!!!

  143. I have been using your recipes for so long and love all of them! I never realized that you are American Korean! I am obsessed with all things Korean LOL.
Thanks for all your amazing recipes! Love the dogs 🙂

  144. I don’t know you two but I love you both and your puppy dogs too. You both radiate inner warmth with your beautiful smiles. I’m looking forward to interaction with Damn Delicious for years to come.
    With warm regards,
    Eric

  145. I just read your profile about you. Chungah, thank you for your amazing recipes. I’m a traveling phlebotomist who stays in hotels for months and eating out can get expensive so I’ve been making some of your meals in the hotel while using the top of the stove that has 2 islands… Again thank you so much.

  146. I found your website while searching for homemade dog food and have been happily cooking for our puppy ever since, thank you.
A while later, I realised that you have a “Butters.” Our golden retriever was also Butters and over his 13 years, other than friends, only around 3 people made the Southpark connection! Favourite character, suits your corgi just as it did our retriever ☺️

  147. your story makes me smile, as well as you, your husband and your corgis:). I was looking for a lo mein recipe after being disappointed by what I had in a restaurant. Of course, I usually say I could make it so much better at home. so now I am looking forward to trying your recipe. But looking thru the other comments I need to keep looking at what else you have. So exciting to try new recipes! Thank you!

  148. Yours is one of my favorite go-to sites for IP recipes, and I have only one other go-to site! I’m very picky.

  149. I am glad I found this cooking treasure called Damn Delicious! The recipes look great. I am a pet sitter, so I love dogs…I never had one growing up! So when I work with dogs, I am in Heaven. Your Corgis are precious. Busy most days of the week, when I come home, I am tired…so I don’t cook any supper for myself. But now that I have this site to follow, I will give cooking more of a try. Thank you, Chungah 🙂 <3

  150. I want to make your spinach mushroom lasagna. I need to make it gf and can only find no-bake gf lasagna noodles. Will no-bake noodles work with your recipe?  Thank you for your help!!!

  151. OMG! New to your website. My wife and I were looking for some recipes for a wine tasting we were hosting. Such a hit for our guests. Thank you very much! Everything was so easy to do (I retired last year and one day later my wife informed me that she was retiring from the kitchen!) and I so appreciate how you have your recipes laid out on the site that I ended up purchasing your book for my Ipad.
    Thanks again!

  152. Great introduction section! I immediately fell in love with all four of you. The wedding cake sealed the deal, however. Look forward to cooking with you!

  153. Congratulations on your wedding! I have made your no knead bread a lot, and love it!!  Can I make it with whole wheat flour?

  154. Hi
I love your slow cooker French onion soup but wondering if it can be done in an instant pot and if the directions are posted anywhere?

  155. Hello,

I am very touched and happy to have found your recipes which I truly enjoy. I look forward to receiving emails with more great recipes and tutorials.

God bless your household………..and your Corgis!!

    RQ

  156. Just tried your zucchini fritters recipe which was awesome. I have 2 fluffy corgis the exact colours of yours – except they are siblings- Hunter and Willow. Can’t wait to see what Korean dishes you have!! Kimchi is a staple in my household lol

  157. You warm my heart! I’m so glad I found your site and can’t wait to try the recipes!!

  158. I love this recipe so much I’m making it for a member of our church going through cancer treatments. I’m sure she will feel comforted

  159. I love the recipe, I and can’t wait to make it on a cold frigid day in Wisconsin. Thank you for the recipe, and I am looking forward to exploring more of your recipes.

  160. Hi Chungah!

I just found your website & can’t wait to try some of your delicious recipes.  I love to cook & entertain, in fact I started my own catering business 45 years ago & then opened restaurants & wedding venues along the way all in California.

I love to see creative people doing what they love.  I am now a travel agent specializing in Sandals vacations & honeymoons.  My husband Stephen live in Florida with our Baxter dog & Bucky cat.  You & your man Ben & your two corgis are adorable!

Keep up the good work!  Happy Cooking!

  161. I love your website and all your recipes. Butters and Cartman are so cute ❤️ I love seeing what you and them are up to on Instagram, such well travelled doggies.

  162. Hi. You are so cute. I am looking forward to to taking advantage of your culinary expertise. Thank-you

  163. The Korean Beef Bowl recipe was delicious. I added shredded carrots and snow peas layered on top of the brown rice and then added the beef, scallions, and thinly sliced fresh cayenne pepper.

  164. I love your recipes, website and cookbook. I know it’s super cold in Chicago. However, I am hoping that you could find recommended some awesome cold soups (gazpacho, strawberry, watermelon, cucumber). That also freeze well. I am a flight attendant out of Chicago and I am always looking for meal prep, long lasting and easy heating. Thanks again. Stay warm.

  165. I loved reading your story! I have tried looking at other websites for recipes but I always end up back here, they are just so easy and elegant at the same time! I also LOVE that you don’t write a novel before each recipe, but I still read what you have to say because it is entertaining and I know I will get to the recipe soon! 🙂 I am 1/4 korean and I love that I can make some foods inspired by my Korean heritage in my every day life (we usually just do a big KBBQ dinner on Christmas, but now I make Korean power bowls all the time!).

  166. HAPA family here and my picky kids love your Asian recipes, which are also very approachable for the cook (me). Great simple recipes that don’t compromise flavor and healthy ingredients, plus love your humor and down to earth personality. and randomly btw, I have to say, your glowing skin and silky hair are SO gorgeous – tutorial please?! My Asian hair does not curl or wave whatsoever and blush/eyeshadow is confusing. It’s lovely to see some Asian representation in the food blogosphere – as a millennial ABC, it’s been a struggle to find good Asian recipes, but the food is a heritage that I want to pass on in some way to my kids.

  167. Made your Buttermilk biscuits tonight. They were devine!
    Will be following!

  168. Thank you so much for the recipe for Homemade Dog Food. We have a little Dachshund named Dino. He is 5 years old and like your pups…spoiled rotten. We love him dearly and only want the best for him. We are going to try this recipe on him. He has been having some issues of late with indigestion so hopefully this will help.
Congrats to you and your husband!! We will be celebrating our 54th wedding anniversary and we hope that ya’ll have a long and happy life together.
    Thanks again! Paula Arena

  169. I found you when you first got Cartman! Finally you came up on my feed on IG. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! Keep on making deliciousness!

  170. Hello Chungah, I’ve been following you on Pinterest for some time now.  I also have one of your cookbooks.  I have enjoyed many of your recipes.  They were “Damn Delicious.” My daughter and son-in-law live in Chicago and they are both “foodies.”  When I told them about you, the first thing they wanted to know is whether you offer cooking classes.  If you decide to do that, please let me know.  I’d like to pay for their classes.  They would love it.

    Kind regards, Beth Powers

PS Butters and Cartman are so cute.  You and your hubby are a lovely couple too.

  171. Hello
    I love your site!
Any chance you can do a recipe for chopje(sp)? Chopche(sp?)?
I lived in Korea and my favorite- well one of my favorites was chopje!
    Thanks

  179. When you introduced Butters, and then, Cartman… well, I knew I’d made the right decision on “what site will I peruse for dinner?” I made your Buttermilk Cornbread on Saturday. Maybe Thai Chicken tonight!
    Thanks for great recipes.

  180. Awesome story and example on following your dreams! And the four of you make an adorable quartet! Thanx for the amazing recipes.

    Fantastic site!

  186. Just want to say that I LOVE your website and recipes. I never watch cooking shows and never check out recipe sites but I think I was looking up lettuce wraps and stumbled on to your site. I’ve been hooked ever since and tell others about it too. Please keep doing what you’re doing!

Love learning more about you and your cute dogs and hubs! Congratulations on your recent marriage!! Thank you for being real and making and sharing some of my most loved recipes!!

  190. I am a 60+ yr old lady whose been home cooking my whole life. I followed you here from Firefox’s Pocket feature; the Street Taco recipe, to be exact. I’m always looking for fun things to try & the taco recipe sounds really great. I admire what young people are doing today like sharing their talents on Social Media like they do. I wish I was younger, not so shy & more savvy at that. I do love learning new ideas though. Congratulations on your lovely intimate wedding. I wish you and your husband, as well as your four-legged family, all the best.

  191. Love your story and have followed your recipes for years.  Thank you!

  192. I love this introduction to who you are. I am am recipe guru and read them like a book. I am always looking for something to serve my husband each night that is unique and within my budget.  I love to cook so much I look at each meal as a gastronomic  event with candles, wine and a lovely table set on our lanai in Sarasota Fl.. I think we think alike. Any way, I just wanted you to know I found you on safari looking for a mushroom recipe. And I just loved your story.

  193. I am so happy you did not become a lawyer, a doctor or a dentist. Although, I am quite sure you would have been amazing at those professions too!! Your website and recipes are stellar. Thank you for all the hard work that goes into this site. And, congratulations on a wonderful wedding. You looked amazing and your husband, while adorable, isn’t nearly as cute as those puppies!!

Thank you and here is to your extended happiness with your husband and corgis.

  194. Best cooking website ever! Your quick and easy recipes have saved  my marriage. My wife actually thinks I’m a great cook now.

But I am also intrigued by you and your pups. I’m anxious to try some more of your recipes.   Congrats on your marriage and best wishes to the four of you. We love our pups.

  204. Hands down my favorite go-to website for all recipes. I found myself in a rut of the same meals on rotation. Your recipes are so detailed and easy to follow. When you include the approx. times for steps it really takes the guess work out of it. You have breathed new life into our meal times.
Thank you and keep up the wonderful job!
    Sincerely,
    Tasha

  205. Greetings! Glad to have found your site. It’s very cold Halloween Day here in Colorado Springs today so I made your Chicken Meatball Noodle soup. We love it, thank you! I am currently looking at all your recipes; so excited to have found your website.

  206. Congratulations a little late…only a year and four months! What a neat idea to get married at home! Your dogs are precious! I am sure enjoying your recipes! Keep up the good work! I just purchased a recipe book from a Chinese cook. I enjoy recipes from different cultures! God bless you both…well, I mean the four of you!

  208. Your Thai green curry chicken was amazing. I had my sister for dinner she loved it and went home with leftovers for her husband to try and also has gone home with the recipe

  209. Your website is delightful and I’ve been infected by your enthusiasm. I cooked for my family for many years but then went through a number of years as a single man. I married a Mexican lady in 2009 who is a marvelous cook; however, she doesn’t like American food. With the help of your recipes I’ve begun to find dishes she loves as much as I do. I’m careful not to tell her that it’s American food. (What IS American food, anyway? I make my own kimchi!)

Thank you for your help in finding recipes I can share with my wife.

  210. want to try this recipe. looks good. We have a 9 mo. corgi named Nub (akc name joyful oliver wagging his nub). He’s handsome, loves to run and do zoomies, eats EVERYTHING except almonds and walnuts, and loves the cat.

  211. Such a great story! Your two Corgis are just the sweetest! I am very glad to have discovered your sight and now starting to make your recipes. We love them and keep them coming!

  212. I’m so excited to discover your site. Tonight I’m going to make Ramen with my husband and 9 year old son. Having discovered Korean culture through Korean Drama Series, I’ve become crazy for the food. Love your pics and about me page. We have two sausage dogs so resonate with your corgi love.

    Ruth 🙂

  213. This was such a sweet read! I love your recipes, they’re always a huge hit! I’ve taken some of your recipes to friends with seriously discerning palates and found out they also love your site and have made recipes of yours.

Cheers to you, your marriage, and your adorable Corgies!

  214. Lovely wedding pics…..Your recipes are amazing…..Good luck to you….perhaps you will one day have your own cooking show….

  215. Amazing looking food, really appreciate both the simplicity and depth. Website rocks. My son and I are wannabe foodies, and we’re going to dig in this week!

  216. Hi! Tonight I made your chicken and broccoli stir fry. And I’m perplexed! I did everything as written…the only change I made was instead of oyster sauce, I used a combination of Mirin and Soy Sauce, and because I was out of canola I used peanut oil instead with the sesame oil.  Although the dish was tasty, I did not get a thick sauce at all. I am thoroughly confused because I added the cornstarch to the cut up chicken. I did however mix it up in a teeny amount of water. I even threw in more at the end when the sauce wasn’t getting thick. The other thing that seemed to go wrong was that my chicken pieces, although totally cooked, never browned at all! Esthetically it was not anywhere as appetizing as your picture!! Where did I go wrong?  I have been wracking my brain. Thank you!!!

  217. OMG, I love the 2 DOGS at the END.My name is Kevin ,i just came across your website. I am a US Navy Veteran who served as a cook aboard the USS Guam L.P.H.-9 which is a Navy Amphious Assault Ship.I Love to Try different foods.

  218. Good morning Chungah. I got up early today because I have a lot of medical issues to take care of for my child who is extremely ill. I’m so tired. I’m frazzled and I don’t know what to make for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They can barely eat. I used to be a hell of a from scratch cook myself and loved spoiling my hubster with great dinners. Now I can barely do the basics. I don’t like going out because food isn’t always a match with my child’s allergies, it’s expensive and so high in salt content. This email isn’t meant to be a downer, just the opposite. I cried when I stumbled upon one of your recipes and thought maybe I’ve found a way to get back to good cooking in an easy and inexpensive way. Truth is my husband and 2 children have the same debilitating illness. Covid 19 brought some blessings because the mandate to stay home made it easier to care for everyone, but I’m just wiped out. I plan to make your meals and try to get my proverbial chin off of the floor. I started crying today when I found you. Corny, I know but I’m so happy. I can barely keep my home clean and organized and I’m not sleeping well and they trying to whip up something for dinner…..I’ve literally been forgetting to turn the oven on, forgetting to defrost things, forgetting the vegies. Your recipes look like they will be a help to me in so many ways. I just wanted to lift you up and tell you I loved your story and I’m so glad you found another avenue other than lawyer, dentist or doctor! Those are all marvelous careers, by the way, but I’m glad you followed your heart. Your dogs are adorbs and I love your wedding pictures! That is so sweet. You seem very down to earth and so happy. I love to see that on my fellow human beings….that’s not what I’ve seen lately and it breaks my heart. Much love to you and peace and thank you for the so needed lift this morning…….it was funny how you wound up coming to me today….one prayer answered today. Bless you, Darnelle P.S. Two questions for you, Chungah…..I love your bright sunny yellow shoes! I like that you wore them at your wedding! Is that your favorite color or does it carry symbolism for you? Your wedding pictures were so wonderful! Also does your team do weekly recipe lists to take to market? I find myself at the store realizing I left my list at home or I take out the a piece of paper in my purse and frantically begin sort of planning and jot notes down to shop….then get home and laugh at the hilarity of my many blunders, absurdities and calamities as of late because I had written down my frantic notes on the back of the original grocery list! I’m finding I’m not the only mom/parent who is in this frame of mind as of late and we could all use your Earth Angel vibes to do better in the kitchen because we aren’t who we used to be! Bless your week.

  219. Stunning that was one of the most beautiful weddings I have seen. The dogs were gorgeous.

  220. HI From Australia ,
I absolutely love your recipes ,but have trouble deciding which to cook as they all look so fabulous. I have 4 sons aged from 19-25 ,so I am used to cooking huge amounts of food .. unfortunately we are currently in lockdown and they are stuck in Sydney and New York ,so I haven’t been able to see them for over 6 mths or longer for the son based in NY…Funny thing is I still cook huge meals ,with my husband joking about how many people are coming for dinner. Your meals are so delicious and so make welcome leftovers for the next couple of meals. Thanks for bringing some inspiration and joy and good food to us during these trying times.

  221. I enjoyed seeing your pictures and meeting your two precious dogs. I have made several of your recipes and find them easy to follow. Good job!

I am an 83 old widow so just cook for one but like leftovers!

  222. Hi! I love your recipes. I was thrilled to see more pictures of your two corgis. My hubby and I have one corgi and her name is Charlotte. She’s super sweet and bossy too! But we love her to death. Thanks so much for posting pictures of you and your husband and the new addition to your family too. The pics of Butters and Cartman just made my day.

  223. I love, love, love your blog. Your recipes are all to die for. I’m as happy for you as I am for me that your blog grew so big. Congratulations on your wedding. The photo’s are beautiful. And congratulations on your new furry edition to the family. Butters and Cartman are as cute as can be.

Wishing you a lifetime of love and laughter!

  224. Congratulations on your marriage! I like your recipes. Keep up the good work and God bless your marriage and business.

  225. Rolling in poo!!!! ROTFL. I am so excited to find you! I am also a Korean American mom raised in a very strict household. I cook for my kids and family now a variety of foods.

  226. Hi. Justdiscovered you and Im so happy i did.   Going to make your french onionsoup. Love yourdoggies.  I am an animal lover myself.  Had a v3autiful cat for 12 years and had togiveher away. Am older now and cant take care of her. Miss her like c4azy. Enough lf that. Looking for your magazine.

  227. I was wondering if Butters was named after the South Park character, and then saw that you also have a Cartman so that answered my question!

  228. Just curious…..y’all moved to Indiana? I love your IG….

    Lori Steele

  229. Hey from Australia Chungah!

Have just discovered your site when looking for slow cooker recipes – my fav type of cooking – easy & richly moist (also it’s mid-winter here still). I was raised in a very cooking-indifferent family. But I need to make more of an effort for our health, and my husband & I will LOVE these, thanks!

Btw we have 5 large leapy dogs so spend practically all of our outside-work hours in dog parks & at dog sports. They are indeed a joy. And my husband cried @ our wedding too – what treasures they are:-)

  230. I have your recipe book and receive your emails daily. Congratulations on your marriage and continued luck and success in both your marriage and in your wonderful recipes that our family and friends enjoy! You’ve made my cooking such much easier and definitely tastier!
    Kamsahamnida (감사합니다) – “Thank you”

  231. Love this! Thank you for sharing this story. I’m still wiping the tears from my eyes. Can’t wait to try your Sausage, potato and spinach recipe. Blessings to you, Ben, Cartman and Butters.

  232. Thank you for posting the Bulgogi recipe! I’ve discovered Korea through Netflix and Rakuten Viki and the wonderful shows there. Watching people eat and drink I wanted to sample what I was watching. Now I can turn up a glass of soju or soju and beer with a plate of Bulgogi like Son Ye Jin or Shin Hye Sun. 🙂 Looking forward to trying the next recipe out this Fall. Again Thank You so much.

  233. Your wedding looks perfect and those pups!! So adorable! Wishing you a happy life and happy anniversary, a bit late!

I love your recipes. My 2020 resolution was to cook at home more than I was, which ended up being a necessity. I discovered you then. Now when I’m searching for a recipe on Pinterest and a recipe pops up from you, I’m saving it and making it! Thank you for being a part of my culinary journey.

  234. Dear Chungah,

I’m the cook in our family and yesterday I made your “Bacon Cheddar Chive Biscuit.” Image my delight and surprise when my wife, who doesn’t generally eat bread or biscuits, ate 2.5 of yours. Great accurate recipe – I’ll be looking at others. Many thanks, Andrew

  235. Beautiful Wedding Pictures And I Love Yur Pups. They’re So Cute.

  236. I love your recipes and your husband and dogs are cute too.
My husband and I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana with our dog, Buddy. I didn’t cook until I retired 7 years ago, since you are a tremendous help for me. Thank you for your damn delicious food.

  237. Can’t wait to try two of your recipes this weekend for a surprise birthday party!

  238. Oh my gosh!! How wonderful to find your beautiful website and loved your bio. I’m an active 85 year old retired nurse (of 50 years!) and I LOVE to cook and bake. My husband and I live in south Florida and seafood is always available. He loves mussels and I just ran across your mussels recipe in the appetizer section so that will be on our table this Friday. I love your dogs, so cute. I think from now on I’ll just make my dinners off your website. THANK YOU!!

  239. Beautiful bio!  Love it.  I can’t wait to start making some of your recipes.  Glad I found you!

  240. Your recipes are very well put together and very easy to follow.  The ingredients are not difficult to get even in South Carolina.  Thanks for the time you take to make each recipe easy to follow and to make.

  241. So happy to make your acquaintance, Chungah! Very serendipitous that I should stumble upon your blog, as my friend had just given me a load of frozen strawberries to make room in her freezer for freshly caught salmon( here on Vancouver Island). I was delighted to read your recipe…quick, not much sugar and the kick of balsamic.
I immediately subscribed to your blog and look forward to learning more of your recipes and delightful family…Congratulations on your wedding and very best wishes for you and the sweet Corgis!

  242. Just found your site! I’m on a boat and made Lemon Butter Scallops, my husband was very happy.

  243. I made the oven roasted parmesan zucchini and my mother-in-law wanted the recipe. I gave it to her before she left and she was very happy. Thanks!

  244. Hi Chungah, my wife made your Lemon Butter Chicken and true to your website, it was Damn Delicious! Thank you.

  245. site looks interesting

  246. Hi Chungah,

Just found your website and I’ll try the bulgogi dish and the quick and easy noodles with beef dish.

    Lovely family!   Stay safe!

  247. Been on the site for a number of years (i’m 82 so you can guess how many!) love the recipes, they are always on target

  248. OMG – I just discovered your site and made the fabulous garlic scallops with pico de gallo recipe.  Best recipe I’ve ever used!  I look forward to exploring more of your recipes. Congratulations on your recent marriage and wishing you and your family the best!

Thank you! Linda from Santa Fe/Scottsdale USA

  249. i am so grateful i bumped into your site very informative and user friendly home cooked food recipe. i am very much passionate with cooking and trying to up my game. I just cant wait to do shopping on the most usable products that i found in your amazing recipes. i am very pleased to become one of your fan.

  250. Your recipes were made for my family! My Kindle is my recipe box and many of your recipes are in that box. Your range is so broad and you use ingredients that people have or can easily get or substitute. You don’t try to impress with weird, hard to attain or afford ingredients. Several times I’ve been missing one small ingredient but your recipes are so delicious and user-friendly that it still works. You also are creative and make attractive and elegant dishes.
Whether it’s carbonara, carnitas or a barley dish, you really have it! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.
Your carbonara recipe is better than my Tyler Florence recipe.

  251. Happy first anniversary.  Cute couples — y’all and the pups.  Loving your garlic monkey bread recipe.  Thanks!

  252. I just printed your recipe with brown rice, turkey, etc.  my question to you is, can I PORTION  control and freeze.  I appreciate your time and look forward to your response.  Thank you,

  253. Dearest Chungah,

Thank you so very much for all the wonderful research, work, and curating you do!  The world is full of doctors, lawyers and dentists, but beautiful recipes that make families come together are truly needed in this world!

    Congratulations on your wedding ♥️

    Sincerely,
    Cynthia

  254. Do you and your husband have a “meet-cute” story?  You have a really adorable family!  My husband and I met twelve years ago on E-Harmony and we have two dogs and two cats.  Actually the dogs and cats have us, really.

Thank you for sharing your recipe for homemade dog food.  Chloé, our 14 year old Chihuahua rescue, has lost most of her teeth and needs soft food now.  All the store brand stuff are just tasty fillers without much nutritional value.  Thanks for the help.

  255. You’re adorable and I love your recipes! Happy first anniversary! You make a beautiful pair.  And I just wanna squeeze those puppers!

  256. your cooking newsletter is my absolute favorite!!
i love the simpleness, the easiness and the deliciousness
of all the recipes you offer !
    thank you
fleur in Baja California Norte, Mexico

  257. I love your story – what a beautiful couple you are. And your sweet corgi pups are adorable. My husband and I (almost 25 years together) are huge South Park fans so I love that your dogs are named Butters and Cartman. Thank you for your wonderful website – I have just begun to explore it. All the best to you and your family.

  258. Good stuff

  259. Lovely little family you have there!  But where did you get your culinary skills? I have loved everything I have made from your site – thank you so very much for putting them on Pinterest!

  260. Adorable doggies!!

  261. Congratulations!!! Thanks for sharing your wedding pics. So cute!!

  262. On the Big Island and just sent your lime chicken receipt to our daughter who is taking care of our home in Santa Fe, NM. Your smile, dogs and husband make a wonderful team due to love the photos. I have many of your ideas in a folder which is gaining in size.

Marshall Sale (Santa Fe) but now in Hawaii…getting hungry again for your chicken ideas plus those street tacos a week or so again.

  263. Hahahaha

First of all, I’ve made a handful of your recipes over the years and have always been pleased! On my regular rotation when I’m looking for stuff to make for the weed.

Secondly, I love love love the doggie names!!!! My 18 year old cat is named Gobbles…a little bit more of an obscure South Park reference, but I hope you get it…

  264. My girlfriend and I want to try your Thai red curry noodle soup recipe but our cooking skills are limited! Do you recommend this one for near-beginners on Thai cooking? Is it very spicy? Is plain old fresh basil an OK substitute for Thai basil? Love the corgies-in-tuxes pics, BTW

    • Just.do.it. Don’t worry about the specific ingredients too much. This recipe is worth it!!! It can not be botched. Perfect for beginner cooks.

  265. I love your story. Our first pet after we got married was also a Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Tucker). A beautiful, spunky and smart boy. You are blessed.

  266. You looked so happy on your Wedding Day !!

  267. What happened to your damndelicious facebook page?

  268. What a beautiful couple you are I’m sure you will have a great future along with you cute little corgis. I wish you all the best!❤️❤️❤️❤️

  269. I’ve enjoyed many of your delicious recipes. Looking forward to more.

I wish you and your beautiful family the best of everything!!

  270. Butters and Cartman are. Adorable

  271. looks like lots of fun…stumbled on your receipt for French Onion Soup today but live in Santa Fe, NM! Also in Hermosa Beach, Ca and also a senior retired but loving Fr. On Soup!! Will I be on your email list for new ideas from Damn Delicious and do you like the cold of Chicago? Keep smiling and those two dogs so cute. We just lost our 20 yr old ShiTzu.

  272. Looking forward to trying your recipes. Just discovered you! A sister Asian – Japanese/French

  273. You’re now a go-to save in my bookmarks. Your chicken enchilada recipe hit our favorites list last night. I substituted in lightly fried corn tortillas and a mix of bottled jalapenos and a pablano pepper as I had run out of canned chili peppers and wanted to get the show on the road. I dipped the prepared tortillas in green chili enchilada sauce before adding the meat mix and smothered the full casserole with the remaining sauce before adding the cheese. And BANG…not even any leftovers to put away.

  274. Your recipes are THE BEST. We recently tried the Teriyaki salmon with broccoli and rice bowl! The homemade teriyaki sauce was to die for and was so easy to make! I can’t wait to try more recipes!!

  275. From a fellow June 20, 2020 COVID bride, just wanted to say that I love all of your recipes! Your site has become one of my go-to’s when looking for new dinner ideas. Keep posting more delicious food recipes and pictures!

  276. thank you for all the info. Your babies are adorable, as you, and your husband.
However, I have a question (probably a thousand) but for now, what are French Style Bread Crumbs?

Anything garlic, pasta, mushrooms , creamy are our thing.
    Thanking you in advance,

  277. You shine, and the dogs are just ridiculous. (Definitely a reason to follow.) The website is inviting, charming and personal. The recipes approachable and delish. Keep up the great work.

  278. Will not describe myself as a cook, in the slightest… yet, when I try any of your recipes… it always comes out better than expected. I have tried several other blogs and dare I say more popular ones… yet when I stumble upon your recipes from time to time, I get complimented for those dishes… so I have bookmarked your page and so far, haven’t been let down. I love the simple, easy, “idiot-proof” recipes you post… and love that a lot of them are “asian”, am chinese by descent but grew up in the Philippines… now residing in Canada. Keep doing what you are doing… and Thanks!

  279. Your Best Ever Beef Stew is the bomb! I had to find out who was responsible for the recipe after I made it. Just stunning. Congratulations to all four of you! Wow You are a treasure, Chungah Rhee. Keep doing this! And thanks

  280. I was immediately drawn to your gorgeous food pictures and your mix of culture in your food. THEN I found out you live in my city now that made things even more awesome. I’m still browsing your site and loving it so much. This could be the start of some major things for this new bride! You ROCK young lady!!!! TY

  281. Love your recipes, and humor. Congratulations to you on your nuptials!

  282. What a sweet, sweet family of four❣️❤️

  283. Hello from this Queens (Bayside) Girl and South Park fan to another! I love your recipes, especially the slow cooker meals!! Most of the ingredients are so convenient because they’re already in my pantry. I’m making your Slow Cooker Pork Ragu for dinner tonight! Congratulations on your lovely nuptials! You clearly embrace living life to its fullest! Every happiness to you, your hubby, and ADORABLE Butters and Cartman!
     ❤️❤️

  284. Thanks for sharing this! I loved the pictures, your happiness and especially your pooches!!!

  285. Love all your delicious step by step recipes. Makes my meals so exciting, especially when I share and post my meals on FB. Your comments are a delight.  Keep sending these wonderful and scrumptious recipes.  It was so nice to share your  life and love story to your fans. Thanks.

  286. I’m an Instant Pot junkie, but also love all foods Korean. Then I read your backstory, and, well… there we go. Chicago is my favorite place to visit, likely because my daughter and her family live there, so I think you and Ben picked the best place to settle. (Btw, was he wiping tears in that photo? Sweet!) I’m looking forward to creating your recipes—comments from others have me convinced! May you have a long and happy marriage.

  287. Hi,

Left a question on your REVIEW Site about how to slice the skirt steak when making the Mexican Tacos. Rather than retype everything take a look at my question. It is listed as a Review under the name Terry The R.

  288. You guys are a great couple. I can’t wait to try your recipes. It’s weird, I clicked on in google Shrimp Recipes and DAMNDELICIOUS came up.
PS LOVE the pictures of you both and of course, Butters & Cartman.

    Good luck.
    Teresa

  289. I’m an old Vietnam combat Marine that thought I had buried feelings long ago. I looked up a recipe for Chicken Pot Pie soup and saw yours to be the highest rating.
I went here and saw the story. Ben’s a lucky man and hopefully is as genuine as you appear to be. God Bless and Semper fi

  290. Dear Chungah,

Greetings! I have only two go-to cooking sites: New York Times Cooking and yours. An American family, we spent 10 years in Asia (5 each in Seoul and Tokyo); I greatly appreciate the international sensibility you bring to cuisine. Because I’m busy, I usually delete other non-personal or business emails–but not Damn Delicious! Congratulations on your recent marriage.

  291. I got your book at Costco and made the Korean beef bowl with my kids- they helped me make it and they loved it too! It was the first recipe from your book that we made and now I’m excited to try the noodle soup in a mason jar!

  292. Hello!  I have enjoyed your website for a few years… stumbling upon the baked honey sriracha wings recipe before a Super Bowl.  They were so “damn delicious” that I’ve come to rely on your site as a go to when I want to make something special.  I’m struggling to move to a digital version to store my recipes, and wonder if you can recommend one.  I have lots of cookbooks and hand written recipes that I don’t intend to replace, but want something I can store those “gotta try this” recipes as they come up.

I appreciate what you do and want to thank you for so many great recipes!

    Take care,
    Laurie

    • The app Cookmate is amazing! You just share the recipe webpage to the app and it pulls all the information automatically and stores it in a way that’s really easy to read. I honestly couldn’t live without it anymore! 🙂

  293. Your recipe for pumpkin stuffed pasta shells id’s AMAZING!!!!! I’made it 3 times, shared three times, shared the recipe and Meade it for the neighbor. Im hooked!!! Am looking forward to trying more off your dishes! THANK YOU!!!

  294. This African is looking forward to making your dumplings for Lunar New Year for the family tomorrow! Butters!!! Love it!!

  295. UCongratulations!  6-20-2020 awesome wedding date!  My niece turned me into your recipes while visiting her in Valdosta, GA.  Love their simplicity though everyone thinks I bought the entree at a local restaurant and chucked the packaging.  Keep up the awesome work and much success in both your new marriage and professional desire’

  296. Congratulations on your wedding! I’m glad you were able to find a way despite the craziness. (I love the yellow shoes!) The corgis are adorable and you and Ben look happy and in love! Enjoy the beginning of this new chapter in life.

We LOVE your Korean Beef recipes and all the different ways to enjoy them. I’ve started exploring other recipes and I haven’t been disappointed. I love Asian food and your recipes make it simple, delicious, and doable! I’ll be trying your Asian Salmon soon! The picture alone has me hungry for it.

  297. So happy to read your story. Congratulations and best wishes! I love your recipes!

  298. I have been concerned about feeding my dogs commercial dog food so thought I would try making it myself. I made the simple crockpot receipe and they loved it. Hamburger is pricey so I thought I would substitute chicken so put a whole chicken in the pot and needless to say they REALLY loved it. I am concerned this is throwing off the balanced diet. My vet discouraged me from making my own dog food at all because it can cause their hearts to get floppy? Anyway, is the chicken replacement okay and are your pet recipes nutritionally balanced and safe to use?

    • Rebecca, I cooked for my dogs and froze ziplock sandwich bags full of chicken, oatmeal and carrots, celery and any other vegetables I had on hand. They were extremely healthy, shiny coats and bright eyes. I mixed it with dog food from Costco and it made good healthy meals they never tired of and were eager to eat. I cooked the chicken with the other ingredients in my InstPot.

  299. Found your site while looking for a simple but good recipes to feed my teenager and a friend who is living with us this week because the rest of his family has Covid.  I eat plant based so I needed some receipts to feed two hungry boys.  Found your recipe Easy Korean Bowls, they loved it!  It was simple with good ingredients.  I see so many recipes I want to make on your site.  Tonight I’m making them the  Garlic and Butter Salmon sheet pan recipe.  Love your story, lived in California (San Francisco), and Chicago also, now in Atlanta.

  300. Love your recipes. The four of you are adorable. Wishing you a lifetime of happiness and good health.

  301. Congrats on your wedding – now to only covert you guys to become Cub fans! Love your recipes!!

  302. Hi Chungah,

I’m trying your scallop recipe and glad I found your site.

    BTW, you are adorable.

  303. So happy to have found your site. Your recipes look incredible and I can’t wait to try them. However, your corgis top the cake…we are corgi lovers from 1993 and are now on our 4th corgi, Olle, who will be helping me out in the kitchen as I begin to explore your recipes. Thank you!
    Carol

  304. Love your recipes and so do my PICKY kids. Just now came to your website to look for some specific recipes for an instant pot or sheet pan and read your background. 🙂 Really wish your pictured items had names so i could look up those recipes, they look fantastic. Thanks for your work!!

  305. would love recipes for a finicky eating dog. Also, the other recipes seem great also. Great fam photo. eager to receive your emails.

  306. You 4 are adorable. congrats!! small relaxed weddings are the best!!Would love to see your recipes..especially in the midst of this covid…. cooking every night…tring to come up with new ideas each time. Meredith Doerge

  307. Congrats on your wedding. My daughter’s big day also.

  308. What a lovely blog, clearly full of life and love! I discovered it while looking for homemade dog food recipes, and I easily decided to subscribe after just a few minutes here. Thank you!

  309. ❤️congratulations!

  310. Chungah,

Our family was very fortunate to discover Damn Delicious during COVID. I have twin boys that are 13 years old and enjoy everything I make from your recipes! During this stay at home time, my son, Gregory, has become more serious about cooking. He loves trying new cuisines, spices and techniques. We live in Los Angeles and have a pug and a beagle. We love taking them to the beach, snow, and anywhere we go! They are definitely the best part of COVID! Thank you for your amazing website and Instagram page. You have made a big difference in our lives and we appreciate you very much. Stay well!

  311. Congratulations on your wedding. Ben is a lucky guy and Butters and Cartman are lucky dogs. Love your life story and your recipes.

  312. Hello Chungah. I’ve just discovered you by chance while looking for a recipe to use up Christmas ham and made your ‘Leftover Hambone Soup’. Had to convert American cup sizes to UK millilitres but the result was definitely delicious, and I had a very happy husband who wants more! Looking forward to making more of your recipes in 2021 and can I wish you both and your cheeky corgis a happy life. Very best wishes. Liz from Bristol, England

  313. What an inspiring story. Have dogs of my own I love to pieces, My English Springer Spaniel, Murphy, only wore a ribbon to our wedding (35 years ago), but was quite dapper. And your recipes are great–some of the stuff I get from others is so complicated, or requires 1 teaspoon on some exotic ingredient I have to buy an 8 ounce jar at $5.99 and never use again.
    Love your emails, keep’em coming
    The cake is the best!

  314. Congratulations on your wedding! Love the names of your Corgis. Must be South Park fans.

  315. So glad you didn’t let the pandemic prevent your happiness. Hopefully you will be able to celebrate with a larger group when this is all behind us.

  316. All the best for your future life. From the heart. Have a happy, joyous and blessed life.
We were out of ideas on what to feed our dog, at wits end actually. Came across your site looking for that.
    Will try your recipes.

  317. Thank you for your damn delicious broccoli mac and cheese recipe… my family of four, with diverse diets, all loved it! I am a Covid cook… forced into doing it more for my husband and two teen daughters because we’re home every single day together and Postmates/Door Dash costs get out of control! As a full-time corporate lawyer I just don’t have time to cook daily for finicky eaters so I finally got over my fear of pressure-cooking, dusted off my Instant Pot after letting it sit around for @ a year and started searching “Instant Pot” recipes. Enter damndelicious.net. You have an attractive website and I will enjoy exploring your recipes. I hope to learn more and inspire my family to cook more too. If teamwork makes the dream work then I’m thrilled to welcome you to my team! Thanks so much for sharing your creativity and passion. Wishing you and your family much love and happiness!

  318. Thanks so much!  I found you this morning via a search for spaghetti carbonara and made your easy, delicious and lighter version of this today.  Hubby and I enjoyed it very much.  I’m looking forward to diving into your site more.

  319. Hello Mrs. Chungah Rhee,
I’ve stumbled onto your Damn Delicious site & was very taken by how you take very popular recipes, simplify them, & have them come out delicious. I’ve been cooking for apprx. 18 yrs. , 12 of them professionally as a trained/formally schooled chef. I’ve been very blessed to have met & worked w/some very talented people who saw something in me & took the time to “groom” me & refined my skills. Thank you for all you do to make this beautiful & awesome craft, interesting/fun/ & your simplicity is “2 thumbs up”. I’ve taken your techniques & used them to guide me when teaching cooking techniques, recipes, & food selection. After all, cooking should be fun! Not a chore. Kudos on your success.

  320. I was looking for a good Korean soup and came across yours which sounds delicious. As soon as I round up the ingredients I will make it. Congrats on your marriage and I love your furry friends too. Best of Luck.

    Ken

  321. I’m absolutely loving your recipes!!  Wouldn’t have thunk (;-) butternut squash would make Mac and cheese, but there ya go.  Made butternut squash chicken pot pie not too long ago, so I WILL be doing the Mac and cheese.  I’m the chef in the house after I retired (and before – when I was home, haha).  Love expanding my repertoire, but my older girl doesn’t seem to appreciate the diversity as much as I do.
Love you South Park duo, we’ve got our own 4 hooligans – 2 rescue mutts (chi/terrier/angry Irishman mixes), a black lab rescue, and a black chihuahua (both beaver/evil turd mixes).  I left Korea in 97 (2 years with the Army).  Loved the food almost as much as the Lao food I grew up with.  Congrats on your nuptials!  Keep up the great work because you have an awesome site.

  322. I woke up in a horrible mood this morning with a long To Do List, and a little resentment towards my husband of 34 years for not being as helpful as I needed. Before making the 4 hour round trip to grocery shop, I googled Korean BBQ Beef and found you. Your pic caught my eye and I admired how you looked adorably cute as well as gorgeous in the same pic! That sucked me in to thinking I’d just quickly scan your ABOUT post, but then you had to throw in Butters, Butters wearing the knit hat, Butters in Dodger gear, Butters at your wedding. Now I’m a little choked up from your beautiful story and I’m in a super good mood!

Thank you for sharing. I’ve visited Damn Delicious many times in the past for YUMMO, easy to make dishes, usually landing here via googling, You’re bookmarked now, baby!

Butters and Cartman–their names are as cute as they are!

    Congrats on your marriage.

  323. I’m so happy for you four, congratulations. I’ve missed your “old time” posts. When you had the opportunity to share your & Butters adventures & pictures. Blessings to you & again congratulations.

  334. Thank you for sharing! I rarely look past the recipe on a site, so this was fun to read. Congrats on your nuptials!

  335. Congrats!!! Enjoyed reading your story!  Much happiness to all of you ( can’t forget those fur babies!). I just found you and I have to say your recipes look amazing!!! Can’t wait to try them!  Thank you !

  336. I love your story.

  337. Loved reading your story. Also love your beautiful dogs. Best wishes to you and your husband. Cannot wait to try your recipes. You made me smile today, thank you

  338. Went mushroom foraging for the first time – under supervision of an expert. Searched for an Instant Pot Mushroom Risotto recipe and there you were! It was so easy and absolutely marvelous. I can think of all sorts of variations (sub a little white wine in that chicken broth maybe) but I made it exactly by the recipe and it was amazing. Thank you. Congrats on your beautiful and fun wedding.

  339. I absolutely love your story!!! I’ve been following for a while and have cooked a few of your recipes myself. I share your blog and social media every chance I get. Wishing you continued success moving forward!!!

  340. Great Website. Love your recipes.

  341. After being sent countless links to your recipes from friends, I borrowed your cookbook from the library. WOW! Usually there is just a recipe or two that grabs my attention but the whole book is one mouth-watering recipe after another. I’ve already ordered a copy because I know I’m not going to be able to try each recipe I’m interested in before I need to give the book back to the library!

  342. What a great story! I found your site because I was looking for a Ribeye steak recipe, which was deliciuos! I love all your recipes I saw and can’t wait to try them. I came to the US  from the Netherland to marry my husband, a US soldier I met in Germany and I had no clue how to cook, but I had to learn and it soon became fun and my new hobby after many ruined dinners I even started my own IG and maybe it will become more than just some post, your story inspired me

  343. Found you via The Washington Post’s Voraciously column. My kind of cook. Thanks for great recipes. Love tweaking recipes and yours provide a damn delicious foundation to work from.

  344. Just made your Chicken Tikka Masala and as a rookie cook, you made me look really good. It was delicious and everyone enjoyed it very much. Thank you for the easy to follow instructions and for all you do!

  345. Yr recipes are knockouts just like U.

  346. Congratulations on your wedding, nothing can stop you guys from being happy!  Really enjoying your recipe!

  347. Congratulations to you both on your wedding.  Just read this now about you and your husband, so belated wishes from Rhode Island.
Love your recipes and have made many of them.  Stay well and continue to be inspired.

  348. I was looking for Asian recipes since we are eating 99% at home now. I ran across your blog and love the recipes and am adding them to my list and recipe binder. Congratulations on your wedding, I am so glad you didn’t let all the stuff of this year put the wedding on hold indefinitely. Your dogs are adorable as are the two of you. God bless on many years to come.

  349. I love your blog! They saved me many nights of figuring what to cook for two hungry teenagers
Congratulations on your marriage despite covid. Wish you lots of happiness.
    Love the two corgis too.

  350. We love all of your recipe’s keep up the good work.

  351. I came for the beef stew recipe and found this blog. Very cool and congratulations! I’m on the email list and a longtime recipe user and lurker. Thanks for all your hard work, your recipes are always very good.

  352. Hello Chungah, I just discovered your site today – looking for a sate recipe (fab recipe BTW).  I’m so sorry to read that your wedding had to be cut back because of Covid; with your simple ceremony you looked so beautiful and I loved your dress.  I think your site is excellent and I’m looking forward to perusing all your wonderful recipes.  Much love to you and Ben and to Butters & Cartman.  Stay safe. xx

  353. You know what’s important, not a fancy expensive ceremony but just close friends and of course, the pups! Best of luck!

  354. Hi Chungah,

I just discovered your site whilst of all things looking for a healthy dog recipe. I already make meals for my dog but was looking for something different.

We just had devasting news from our vet. Our miniature schnauzer was unwell and had to have some blood tests. We have just been told that Oscar has diabetes. So I was looking for something super healthy and something that won’t upset his diabetes.

Your Damm Delicious page looks wonderful and I plan to try these yummy human meals.

  355. Hi Chungah!

Discovered your site last night when we made the one pan lemon herb salmon! HOLY CRAP! it was SOOOOO gooood! Thanks for sharing this and I love your background story. I’m from Queens too and also had a stint in CA!

Congrats on the wedding and way to adapt! Looking forward to following more of your work. 🙂

    Best

  356. I made one of your recipes last night for dinner and tried another one tonight because it was so good!!! You’re recipes I think will help we make really good food at home. I found your website through Pinterest! Thank you Chungah! I can’t wait to try another one of your recipes!

  357. Congratulations! Best wishes!

We love the sesame chicken recipe!

  358. Glad to have you in my life Chungah!   I am a seasoned cook who loves to try new recipes.  I am trying to become a better Asian food technician.  I spent many years of my life living in Chicago and San Francisco where I became spoiled rotten on great ethnic food.  It is my ambition in life to become more skilled in cooking foods outside of my comfort zone of French, Italian and Southern cuisine.  I  rely on your website for well tested, delicious meals for those days where I just can’t seem to come up with something on my own.  I swear when I die, my tombstone will read “Here lies Liz Casey….. What the Hell’s for Dinner?”   I cook three meals a day, 7 days a week these days, with maybe an occassional meal delivered.  I can’t wait to go out again for a dinner out…. but until I can do that, I will keep coming back to your site.   Some of your recipes have become mainstays in my home, which is saying something considering I married a man who doesn’t want to eat the same meal twice in 6 months…… Keep doing what you are doing, ’cause you are doing it very well.    Best Regards from the great state of Idaho!  Say hi to my wonderful Chi-town!!!  My alma mater is Columbia College right down in the South Loop.  Miss everything there is about that place, even the winters;-).   Oh, and congrats on your recent nuptials!  All the best to you!!

  359. Wow! I just found you today and I love your story. I’m a home cook and getting better every day. My oldest daughter is in college and LOVES to cook and I get my inspiration from her. Your recipes look delish and I’m starting with broccoli and parm and garlic. Thank you! I know it will be yummy!

  360. What a cute couple! And the people look sweet also. 🙂 Glad I found this website, looks good. Best, Mike

  361. Congratulations on your marriage! I am sorry COVID derailed your original plans but it looks as though you had a special celebration.

  362. Going to make one of your delicious looking chicken with lemon butter sauce recipes tonight!  I also browsed through some of your yummy recipes!  So glad I did…   Can’t decide which recipe is next on my “to make” list!  I see you grew up in Queens – next door to me in Nassau!

Also love those pups!  We have a rescue Abigail Louise pup and a cat Penny Lane.

Signing up to receive more recipes from you.  Thank you!  Stay safe and well.

  363. I saw photos of you and your husband on the yanni designs instagram earlier while I was scoping them out before our appointment and I knew you looked familiar when I was searching for a scallop recipe and landed on your page. What an odd coincidence- never saw you before today and now it’s been twice. Looking forward to trying some of your recipes!

  364. I love your website, all of the recipes I have tried have been excellent! Congratulations, June 20 is my anniversary date – 39 years ago. It is a lucky day!

  365. I love your website, your recipes and your adorable corgis! I am so glad that I stumbled onto this site. Please don’t ever stop doing what you are doing! Hugs you you and your fur babies!

  366. Hi Chungah. I am a self taught cook and dog lover also. I was searching for a recipe for beef stroganoff to use up some sour cream and stumbled upon your site. I then scoured your recipe box until 3 am. I made the dish the next day and I must say it was Damn delicious! I look forward to making more meals and can’t wait until we can share them with friends post Covid of course.

  367. Hello from Vancouver Canada!  Stumbled upon your site looking for a quick delicious nutritious family recipe.  Just had to comment that my daughter and I fell in love with your dogs and their names.  I had to call my daughter over to see right away.  Thoroughly melted our hearts to scroll to the end to see the cake topper!  Congratulations and thanks for the delightful posts.  Now onto cooking!  Your recipes look amazing as we love fresh vegetables. Have a great day and hello to Butters and Cartman!

  368. We’re so glad we found you! I am a mum who, with my sweet husband, adopted two beautiful children from South Korea. Our special family celebrates all-things Korean – including upbeat people like you (okay, BTS too!) and we love sharing your journey! Keep those recipes coming!

  369. Love your site! Great simple recipes, with straight to the point instructions. Thank you for taking the what to make…” question out of my evenings! ❤️

  370. Look forward to your recipes.

  371. Beautiful story – your website, recipes look great and I love your story. I can’t wait to try your scallops tonight. Thank you for your positivity and ray of sunshine in this unusual summer.

  372. Ahhhhh OMG the corgis are too fricken cute and your photography is amazing

  373. Hi Chungah! I am a Covid Cook (meaning Covid has given me an 3 hours of commuting back and I now learning to cook :)) and want to make the garlic lemon chicken thighs on the grill! I can do the marinade and everything but sadly, I am a newby with grilling! Can you tell me how long I cook them for on the grill? We have a super big brand new one so it is amazing to cook ok!!

    Thank you so much!
    Barbra

  374. Congrats I bought some of your wedding favors at the thrift store  today!! Lol

  375. Congratulations on your wedding! Everyone looked fabulous
I’ve been missing your Instagram posts lately and was wondering ( and hoping) all was ok with you, Ben and the puppers?!
During Covid I’ve been cooking up a storm with recipes from your cookbook and emails. Love everything I’ve made and bought a copy of your book for my sister….she loves it too!
Stay safe and I look forward to more great recipes!
    Thank you!

  376. also, have you ever grown your own mushrooms? it is super easy and tastes wonderful. i used to be able to buy a box all ready to go but i have also bought packets of the internet. i also remember a greeting card with mushroom spores in it. the fancy mushrooms. you just need a dark area. it is so cool and fulfilling to check on it and come away with handfuls of little gems. I have even gotten a box going with the dirt and white stuff (so scientific) that you can find at the bottom of commercially bought mushroom containers.

  377. your just adorable ! found you on a google search for marinated mushrooms and have bookmarked you to explore your other recipes. thanks for sharing some of your personal stuff. the wedding looked great! it seems your a happy, positive person and boy do we need that now. keep on cooking and thank you.

  378. hi. i didn’t know there’d be another chungah. my korean name is yun chung ah and i hated my name growing up. kids would call me chung chung chicken so i changed it to cassie. but anyway, i found your zucchini recipes and will give them a try. you don’t have the zucchini pancakes recipe though. you should give them a try. congrats on your nuptials. i’m also in chicago.

  379. Hi There,

I go to the blog daily and love your recipes but often don’t make a lot of them because there are no videos to accompany them. Most food blogs have the videos of the recipe being done which makes it super helpful for the person making something for the first time.
I love the recipes and would just love to see the videos too!

Thank you for making such wonderful looking food!

    • Hi Patty!

We have videos for only select recipes at this time. It is hard to produce them with our team during COVID-19 as we are all safely quarantining. We hope to produce more videos when it is safe to do so.

      Stay safe!

  380. A stunning couple Great recipes are just a click away.
Stay safe young lovers & enjoy marital bliss

  381. I just wanted to let you know that I love, love, love your recipes!!!! Also, CONGRATULATIONS on the wedding!! Such a beautiful bride!! The four of you make a beautiful family!!! My husband and I have been married for 27 years and our kids are 2 Jack Russell’s, a yorkie mix (rescued living in the woods behind my husband’s work), a chihuahua that is beautiful little beast and a chihuahua/dachshund (rescued hiding under a semi-trailer in my husband’s work parking lot, in the middle of a storm, scared and hungry)! We enjoy watching Butters and Cartman every day, so thank you!

  382. Congratulations on your wedding! I first stumbled on your website yesterday (7/22/20), when my cell battery died and I asked my 14 y.o. son to look up a recipe for beef Stroganoff, and text it to me for later after my battery charged. He randomly found your Stroganoff recipe at damndelicious, and I made it last night—mmm…mmm…good! My wife loves it. I just had a bowl of leftover Stroganoff just now (7/23/20)—so good! I made it because I knew my wife was going to have a difficult and emotionally taxing zoom meeting at work, and I wanted her to have some “comfort food” for dinner (we both grew up in the 1970s eating Stroganoff maybe once a month)–and I know your recipe made her feel better. I will pass your recipe on to my 6 sisters, who I am sure will love it too. Thanks!

  383. Dearest, dearest!
Congrats to both (or all 4) of you. Your celebratory date happens to be also my only sons’ b-day (1974) and today, actually, your first month anniversary. Enjoy!
A retired single senior and life-long restaurant worker, I find the recipes you offer simple, fresh, healthy & very easy to implement. Very ‘handy’ for singles, especially in light of COVID-19 with its’ restrictions & recommendations.
Stay safe & remain in good health,

    George

  384. Congratulations. I admire you going with the flow and making changes. It’s the marriage that is important, not the wedding. Very best wishes.

  385. Love the recipes, go to them often. Love the blog and latest about you, Ben, Butters, and Cartman. Congrats to you all on the Rooftop wedding ceremony. Nothing like Chicago in the summer. I unfortunately/fortunately grew up in the NW suburbs of Schaumburg and Hoffman Estates and now live in a pizza vacuum here in Minnesota. In a toast to your blog, we’re having the damn delicious beef and broccoli tonight. Cheers!

  386. I just found and made the chicken broccoli Alfredo recipe tonight.  We all loved it!  Coincidentally, we’re currently living in Seoul (I’m from the US, hubby is Korean…a lawyer ).  I’ll definitely be making this again and coming back here for more damn delicious recipes.  Congratulations on your wedding!

  387. First of all, Congratulations to you and Ben! I hope your newlywed bliss lasts forever! My wife and I are still honeymooning after eleven years together as of June 7th.

Your Brown Butter Sweet Potato Gnocchi is the perfect finishing touch to my latest fusion recipe — Shakshuka, plus pulled pork, then replacing poached eggs with sweet potato gnocchi! Yummers! I’m sure I’ve corrupted shakshuka so much that I would offend any purists by calling it that, so I’ll work on a new name for it.

Just wanted to say Thank You Chungah for your inspiration!

  388. Love the bio and the wedding story. I’m sending a link to your site to my wonderful Korean-American daughter-in-law.

I’m making your risotto with mushrooms tonight.

  389. Thanks for sharing wedding pictures…they’re great “pick me up” during these trying times of isolation and your recipes. Will be preparing your instant pot lemon chicken thighs tonight. Recently retired with expectation that I would share dinner preparation with my wife after rarely (really never) cooking during my workaday life (opted for clean up instead). Try to use instant pot as it limits the clean up to one container plus peripherals for spices, etc. Wife insists on side dishes to go with the “pot” so must learn to multitask after years of resistance, e.g., please don’t ask me to fix the toilet while I’m mowing the yard.

  390. Love the simplicity and inspiration to transform these recipes into GF versions of dairy-free. I love how you get straight to the recipe!!

  391. All I can say is…..if you didn’t marry this gorgeous woman…..I WOULD have asked her myself !

  392. I love you and your recipes so much Chungah! Congratulations on your wedding! I have been trying your recipes for 3years. Thank you for the easy step by step instructions and delicious recipes.

  393. Every time I look for a recipe, I find myself here on your site. You consistently deliver just what you promise: quick and easy meals that we can make from scratch.
Congratulations on your success here and on your wedding. Thanks for all you do for the home cook!

  394. I’ve just saved yet another one of your recipes to my “must make again” pinterest board, and wanted to say thank you for sharing your incredible recipes! My boyfriend is a picky eater, and I’ve been thrilled that everything I’ve made from your site he’s raved about.

    THANK YOU!!

  395. Just found your blog! We just eloped June 20, 2020, too – we were supposed to be in Turks & Caicos. Congrats to you both – I am making Carnitas for dinner tonight!

  396. I have discovered a page where I can try different thing cooking from across a wide spectrum. I am currently letting the yeast rise for the Rosemary bread, I just hope that it comes out half as good as your picture. I am also very delighted to see alot of Korean recipes as I spent 1 year (1981-1982) in Korea with the US Army. It was my first time to have spicy food and I loved going to the Ville and having Mamason cook. Thanks for the website.

  397. Congratulations on your recent wedding!!

I have been trying your recipes for a few years now- ever since I got the guts to actually start cooking. Your recipes have always been excellent and helped me develop a love for cooking and trying out new recipes. It’s been a hobby that helped take off some stress during medical school and residency. Thanks for putting all the time in that you do- your followers appreciate it! And your insta game is on point! Food pics + corgis — what could be better !? 🙂

  398. I teach (well, now they are online programs I do by myself) children, teens and sometimes adults cooking techniques/ recipes at a library in Little Rock, AR. (HRC Children’s Library and Learning Center if you want to look it up). I always know that your recipes will be wonderful. This week I used your avocado deviled eggs and read Green Eggs and Ham for the Little Kids in the Kitchen, and then used your Baked Zucchini Fries for my Garden to Kitchen program (where we use produce from our Teaching Garden and cook with it). In the past I used several of your recipes for an adult meal prep program we did, and your Asian chicken marinade is my go-to at home when my husband is busy (He’s the better cook. I follow recipes, he creates.) I was looking up your name for credits on our FB page, and I saw you just got married. CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU for your wonderful recipes.

  399. Congratulations Chungah and Ben! Wishing you decades of love and happiness!

  400. Congratulations!

  401. Congrats on your marriage! Love the site and love the recipes. Thanks for your hard work.

  402. Congratulations! Love this site and your recipes….

  405. Congratulations on your wedding day!  Wishing you much joy!

  406. congratulations!! 2020 , want to see some pictures!

  407. Love is a wonderful thing. Married my highschool , sweetheart in 2000….I am now 61…..Good luck!!

  408. Hi Chungah,

I just found you! I’m so happy because during our “Groundhog Days” I have started cooking and baking again (sorry all our wonderful Phoenix restaurants). I lived in Southern California and had the amazing opportunity to take cooking classes with so many great and well known chefs including Julia Child, Nancy Silverton, Alice Waters, Sheila Lukins and Jacques Pepin. And now your recipes have inspired me again.

Your blogging is so well written that I feel like we are texting personally and your personality comes through and brings smiles. Your recipes are going to make my days have a purpose again and bring my creativity back.

I read your “About” page and my heart went out to you. Are you and Ben going to have a wedding this month? So much planning for so many has resulted in disappointments but I know you will make your wedding situation have a happy ending. Best wishes for a happy and healthy life together.

Thank you for adding so much joy to our lives, especially now. Stay well. Stay safe. And love your fur babies.
    Best always,
    Sharon Constant

  410. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding! Hope all goes well amid Covid! Love Butters and Cartman – sooo cute!! Also love your website and all the recipes…have tried several and gotten rave reviews from my hubby. I’m not crazy about cooking but, with Covid, have been forced to cook more often than I ever have and your easy recipes have revived my interest in turning out delicious meals. Keep them coming!

  411. Hello!, I’m so glad I found you! I just made your vegetable pot stickers and the definitely were “Damn Delicious”! Even better than the ones we get at our favorite place. I will be making these again and again

  415. Butters and Cartman are adorable and your recipes are fantastic! I see that you and Ben are due to be married on 6/20/2020 and, well, just want to wish you the very best! It’s been quite a crazy few months and perhaps you’ve had to modify your plans…or maybe not. Anyway, I just simply wanted to wish you the best and, hey, while I’m here, thank you for sharing so many amazing recipes. One of our favorites is the sesame ginger salmon. I am making it tonight and need to get that salmon in the marinade, so I’ll sign off here. Best wishes! Laura

  416. Hi! I have loved your recipes / site for about a year now. While on our last Zoom meeting (“new normal” work meeting), my colleague and I discovered we both are fans! We sent the link to our third colleague, and then talked about recipes for the last half hour of our meeting 😉
Just wanted to let you know in case your ears were burning.
    Best,
    Ellen

  423. Went looking for a ribs recipe for the InstaPot and found your site!!
    What a wonderful find.

    Thank you!!!

  424. Hi Chungah… your sheet pan shrimp boil was AMAZING! I prepared it for friends weeks before sheltering in place. Everyone requested the recipe, which I immediately shared. I’m hoping to share your recipe in a monthly article I write, and my compliance department has requested I secure permission from you to include your website, and post the recipe and picture. I can send you the article if you’d like to read it. It goes to all households in Montclair, which is a district in Oakland, CA. I’m a loan officer, who happens to cook, so this month I’d like to share one of my favorite recipe finds. Oh, & congratulations, and yes those two pups are definitely adorable. Hopefully the shelter place will not postpone your wedding plans. Thanks kindly for your consideration. Here’s the magazine website… http://www.montclairmagazine.com/

  425. Your recipes look delicious, can’t wait to try a few. OH & Congrats in June & for the cutetest groomsmen EVER!!! 426. Just found your blog. Love it. Are you still on for the 6.20.20 wedding or is that on hold until the Coronavirus is under control? Best wishes for whatever you decide. Your Corgis are adorable!

  427. Damn cute corgis!!!

  428. Damn cute corgis!!!

  429. Congrats on the engagement! Long time follower, I love your recipes and books. I live in Chicago, hope you are enjoying it! Wish you luck on the wedding especially with everything that is currently going on.

  430. Hello, congratulations on a great plan, I just looked at your Tater tot recipe, and it calls for Russets. I think I know why,, as I am in the middle of China now and have not found them here, I may get them online , but tried some what I call new potatoes, a whiter skin. these new potatoes seem to have a lot of water. I got them done okay, but had to squeeze them even after pressing the water out. added more flour to help them firm better, I did not boil , just peeled and grated.. Thoughts?
    , Mark

  431. Hi Chungah, I wish you both the best! I love new recipes and will try this one tomorrow. I’m retired now but started cooking with my mother at age 12. I’ll check out more of your recipes as well!

  432. Hi Chunga and Ben and all the others. I used to cook very basic meals as always left it to the
boss. Ive been on holiday in Melbourne and got stuck when the locked the world down. I ve been cooking for the last 5 weeks for my sister and her brood. Iv’e found the recipes easy to follow and to also experiment around with. As Beth, I am also searching for the Mongolian beef recipe.
    Cheers Brett

  433. Welcome to Chicago! (belatedly) Thank G-d Ben’s a Dodgers fan. I saw that blue for a minute, and I thought cubs for a split second (White Sox fo’ life!). I hope your wedding isn’t derailed by this lockdown, and if so, that you can do something awesome very soon. I also hope you can get to enjoy any of our wonderful summer offerings if this stuff ever stops. So sad how many things are already cancelled. If they even *sniff* at cancelling fireworks, I may take to my bed. They are my favorite! (But that’s not as bad as having a wedding messed up possibly, so…perspective! ) Again, welcome!

(Got here because of the P.F. Chang’s Mongolian Beef Copycat Recipe, which looks delicious and is now in my queue.)

  434. Hi

  435. Hi! I’m not cooking at all but would like to start now to feed my family this quarantine. I would like to ask your opinion if I would buy 1 kitchen appliance only, would it be an instant pot or a slow cooker? I have a limitation in storage and I don’t want to waste buying something I would not use a lot. Thank you.

    • I have the ninja foodi – it’s multi purpose – pressure cooker, slow cooker, air fryer, broils, bakes and sautes and a keep warm function when you’re done

  436. I LOVE your recipes! After the third success, I was like… who is Damn Delicious?! I mean a good BAKED mac and cheese!! Crazy good. I used to cook when I was single and had lots of time. My husband was the chef. As a widow with two young kids and lots of time due to quarantine, I’m getting back into cooking. Your recipes have helped. Simple steps and ingredients. Thank you!

  437. So glad I found your recipes and site! Looks like you have a wonderful little family and such delicious recipes! Congrats! I’ll def keep plugging in for ideas and recipes for my 3 boys! Keep on rockin’! 🙂

    • Hi Chunga, I love your cooking site and whenever I’m stumped for a recipe, I turn to you. I just read that you have moved to Chicago. How thrilling!!!.. I was born and raised on the north side but moved to FL. in 1969. But Chicago will forever be the city that holds my heart! A great city to raise children! But first, CONGRATULATIONS on your upcoming wedding.

  438. god I love your food, the pictures are what first sells me. My family also loves your recipes. Thank you for all your effort.

  439. Not gonna lie, but these recipes seem really easy for someone who burned eggs once! I’m 16, going to turn 17 in September, and I love to cook along-side my dad (and when i’m at my grandma’s house, we bake A LOT!). I’m really excited to try more of your recipes!!

  440. Hi Chungah!
I just love your website and recipes. I am trying your pot roast recipe as we speak (email)! Time and time again I am looking at your recipes for ideas 🙂
I just recently went to part time after working full time most of my adult life. So, that said, I have taken to cooking and making more homemade, creative dishes. That’s why I come to you!
It’s so nice to get to know you. You and Ben make a lovely couple, along with your adorable Corgi’s. (Is Cartman a shout out to a certain character on South Park? LOL) Very cool names for your fur babies.
Please know what a comfort your smiling face and delicious recipes have been during this trying time. I appreciate you! Be well, stay safe and healthy.

  441. I was looking for a recipe on Beef Stew and found your website and your young, energetic, smiling face.
Then I scrolled down to find out more about you and I was brought back in time when life just
begun for me and my bride until we settled down in Brooklyn and finally here in CT with 3 lovely kids.
Our neighbor is Korean mom with 2 girls, about the same ages of our 2 sons and we get along well and have
authentic Korean dish every now and then that she cooks.

Your choice for 6.20.20 is so biblical.  I am a simple believer and reads once in a blue moon
But I like Luke because he was a great teacher and a glorious physician. His chapter 6:20-23  reads:

20 Looking at his disciples, he said:
“Blessed are you who are poor,
for yours is the kingdom of God.
21 Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be satisfied.
Blessed are you who weep now,
        for you will laugh.
22 Blessed are you when people hate you,
when they exclude you and insult you
and reject your name as evil,
because of the Son of Man.
23 “Rejoice in that day and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven.
For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets.

Good luck and I can foresee your great success in the future.

  442. 6/20 is my birthday. In 70 years I only recall one 6/20 when the weather wasn’t perfect and it’s the longest day of the year. Don’t change the date of your real marriage even if in this COVID 19 year you have to have your formal celebration later. Best wishes to you both and to your pups.
A friend and I with whom along with her husband I have been isolating since March 18th made your Roasted Garlic and Spinach Pizza last night. It was DELICIOUS! We will make it again and now I’m exploring your site for more ideas to keep us smiling until we can all come out of our houses again.
Hope you and your loved ones are well.
    Mm

  443. Omg I’ve been saving your recipes for YEARS (like since the very beginning when I just had one kid and Pinterest was still new). Congrats on the engagement!! And thanks for all the recipes!

  444. Love your recipes! Congrats on the engagement!

  445. Thank you for sharing, you started out making no money. Motivating for me starting a fashion biz. I found and tried your shrimp and pasta recipe and now I’m a follower. Keep enjoying and making great food! Congratulations on your engagement!

  446. Love your story. Also from New York originally and have been in Chicago since 2003. My wife and I took pre-wedding photos on the same overpass in your photos. Butters and Cartman are adorable. Looking forward to trying a number of your recipes; tonight it is teriyaki salmon. By the way, don’t let this weather fool you, this year was an incredibly mild winter. Hope your wedding plans go through well despite the current global situation. Stay safe.

  447. Scrumplicious great looking food.

  449. For your Garlic Butter Shrimp recipe, is it a requirement to use Kosher Salt, or can I use NORMAL salt or Himalayan/Punjab Salt?… Please explain the difference between them all.

  450. Hi Chungah!…
For many years I’ve collected recipes that are so-so, yet never quite the in-between I’d been seeking. They claim ‘easy’ or ‘superb’, etc. most always with hyped-up ingredients and descriptions, never tasting quite right. Even though I’m French, I very much lean toward Asian and Mexican food.
It was not my intention to find you, but boy am I glad I did! JACKPOT!! I like everything about your down-to-earth self… no flowery explanations, and recipes that are quite perfect! I have already printed off several, and going to fix your wonderful ‘one-pot garlic parmesan pasta’ tonight!
Now to Butters and Cartman! I’ve had a professional pet sitting business for 26 years now, and I luv-luv-luv Corgis… I honestly think they may be more intelligent than us, poo-rolling or not! It’s those bunny-butts I adore!
I like that you and Ben have chosen 6-20-20 for nuptials… our date was similar 5-5-05. With good luck by June, our world will well be on the mend from this horrid virus. With many thanks for your terrific site Chungah!

  451. i love your one pot beef stroganoff. it is hands down the best beef stroganoff ive EVER had. i will be trying some of your other delectable recipes. congratulations on your upcoming weeding.

  452. I found your recipe for Korean beef last evening on your blog. I didn’t have all of the ingredients, but I was able to substitute some from my pantry. It was so delicious! I was looking to make something tasty to go with the package of rice noodles that were pushed to the back of a shelf in my pantry. I have more time these days to slowly explore those shelves. My whole family enjoyed the dish! I’m going to order your two cookbooks, and I have become a devoted fan of your blog. Thank you!

  453. I found you site over a year ago, and I love it! My family likes everything I’ve made – and I am not a good cook. But your recipes and videos make it so easy! Our favorite is the Cilantro-Lime chicken thighs. We are making easy Pork Carnitas tonight, and lemon rosemary sheet pan chicken later this week. Thank you for all of the great recipes and congrats on your upcoming wedding.

  454. Our family just started cooking with an insta pot and I was happy to find your site. My husband loves Zuppa Toscana from Olive Garden and can’t wait to make it tonight. You definitely have a new fan and follower.

  455. Loved reading your story.  You and Ben make a great couple.  And your corgis Butter & Cartman are sooo cute.  Best wishes to all of you.

  456. So happy I found your site, can’t wait to explore all the receipes. I am making the fresh turkey breasts in the slow cooker today, cant wait to try this evening for dinner!! With everything going on with the corona virus and being at home, trying receipes and cooking is what I am going more of.
    Thank you!!

  457. You guys look great. I can’t help but wish you well.

I am 76 and know what a good l life means.

  458. I have read tour story. It is incredible how internet changes our life forever. You are great and very talented. Keep posting as I wil be visiting your blog everyday

  459. New to your site. Found it today searching for creative ways to prepare broccoli. Found three great looking recipes and can’t decide which to make. Possible one each day. Positive outcome of our current situation is that we are eating alot more vegetables and I’m going back to creative cooking. I also live in the Chicago area. Thank you for your wonderful site. Stay safe.

    Nancy

  460. Great recipe; subbed in Potatoes, Carrots and Onions in place of the Broccolini. Thanks for sharing!

  461. I love your insta posts!!! I love your recipes and those adorable corgis.  Any chance you wound tell me the name of the breeder where you found butters and Cartman?  My daughters and I follow you and talk about those two rascals all the time. Hope you and Ben are happy and healthy during this trying time. Keep posting. As you can see, many of us rely on you for comfort, advice and a giggle.
    Best,
    Debby

  462. Your recipes are very easy to follow. My go to site now for all things damn delicious – Swedish Meatballs, Beef Stroganoff and Shrimp Alfredo Fettucine.

  463. Ok, those Corgis are tooooo cute!!! I want to get one but my hubby is allergic to furry dogs. I think Corgis shed too much. But I love your story, drew me in!! I’m trying the corn beef recipe tonight.

  464. Justa lookin. Gonna try broc n shrimp then go from there

  465. I made the Korean Chicken bowls. Was delicious. I didn’t have all the ingredients, but the sauce was delicious. Will make it again and again. Thanks for the inspiration .

  466. What a lovely website. Endless amounts of recipes! I love the variety. I started pining so many of them and then bookmarked your website. Who needs a cookbook when I can have your website.
Beautiful photography, lovely and easy cooking recipes, I can hardly wait starting trying them.
    Carry on cooking and posting.

Hope the wedding plants are coming along fine.

Thanks for your talent and creativity.
    Dora

  467. I’ve been looking at and cooking your recipes for years but never read your story until today! What a great story and congratulations on your upcoming wedding! I’ve made cookbooks for some young family members and friends who were getting married and always include a recipe for Family Pie at the very beginning. I’m sure you’re familiar with it but here goes anyway lol.
    One handful of forgiveness
    One heaping cupful of love
    ONe lb. of unselfishness
mix together smoothly with complete faith in God
    Add: Two cups of wisdom
One cup of good nature for flavor
    Sprinkle generously with thoughtfulness
This makes a wonderful family pie.
One complete pie will feed any size family for years to come.

  468. Dear Chungah,
Loved reading your bio – and love your short (or are they height challlenged) furry children. Congratulations on your proposed date to get married.
But moving to Chicago – you must really love him? chuckle, chuckle!

Your recipe for Teriyaki Chicken Shish Kabobs has no reviews on your blog, but I am marinating my chicken now to prepare the Shish Kabaobs – and plan to grill them tonight – so I may be back to write my review of your recipe.

Love to cook so will be interested in more of your creations.
    Thanks
    Dave

  469. do you have any recipes for dogs with early kidney stage disease?

  470. I made your chicken chowder and it was super great!!!! Wow!!!! Easy to do and the only add I made was I added canned corn.  Just gave it a little extra.  Next time I think I will add bacon crumbles on the top of the chowder .  But no chanes are really necessary – great chowder and easy to do.

  471. You’re the best cook around..,,. And I have been around! Keep those recipes coming and enjoy everyday with that cute fiancé and those precious pups.

  472. Hi…2 questions…
    1. What is that first cheesy looking yummy dish on your “About” page??
    2. What color grout did you use on your subway tile?

  473. Just found your site, have been making your Baked Parmesan Zucchini and will now find other recipes here to inspire me. Very nicely done!! Congratulations on a great site.

  474. Love to cook and would love to follow your culinary experience.

  475. I am simply fascinated by Lady “Chungah Rhee”!

  476. Simply Charming!

  477. Dear Ms Rhee

I have just purchased a copy of your meal prep cookbook. I love the look of the recipes but I have a problem. The first one to catch my eye for a better look was the miso salmon tray bake. Yum, I thought, then I looked at the nutritionals. Hmm, I thought… you specify a 6oz salmon fillet per portion yet give calorie count for whole meal (one portion) of 253 calories. How can the be? Salmon provides approx. 55 cals per oz, which would give a count of 330cals just for the salmon, before we even reach for the honey etc.

Now I’m wondering about the nutritionals quoted for all the other recipes. I hope it’s a pesky typo, but now (I too am a type A person, and Scottish to boot = type AA) I shall have to check them all. Boo. Still gorgeous recipes though! I adore your dogs. Have a superb wedding day.

    • Yve, the nutritional information is correct and has been triple checked. Please note that different types of salmon have different amounts of calories. For example, 6 ounces of king (chinook) salmon contains 304 calories, coho (silver) salmon contains 248 calories, and pink (humpy) contains 197 calories.

  478. We love your recipes!  We began following you on Instagram and now my Hubby and I must have our daily dose of Butters & Cartman. Wishing you all the best with your upcoming nuptials and prayers for continued blessings for you and your family.

  479. Charming About page . . . love your recipes too. All best wishes for a wonderful life together with Ben and the Corgis.

  480. I just found your site, Chicken Tacos-yum!
And just wanted to say thanks, and you had me at Butters. Then, there was Cartman!!! Too cute!
Thanks for sharing, will no doubt be a fan, and look forward to your recipes!

  481. I love following you!!!! I am hooked on Korean Dramas and see such great food on these series! So glad I will be able to try some recipies from your site. Congratualtions on your upcoming wedding!

  482. Have tried several of your recipes, without varying away from what you have written. Very pleased with the outcome of them all.
Please keep ’em coming. At 80 years old and way above ground, I still enjoy exploring with different foods.

  483. Hi, I am going to try your Cajun Chicken (Chili’s Copycat). My husband and I go to Chili’s often and
I loved it there. I hope this one is just as good. Looks easy enough.
I went to Seoul, SK October 2017 to see my grandson born. I was very impressed with Seoul. I didn’t like having to take the tram everywhere we wanted to go and having to walk all the way to get there but I survived it. Even walked up to the Mall on top of the hill where you can go by cable ride. I apologize, I can’t remember what it is called. I went to The Marbling with my daughter for some Korean BBQ Steak, Kimchee, with other items that escape me too. I even found a bottle of Korean BBQ Sauce at World Market in the US when I returned.
I will follow you on Pinterest.. Thank you!!

  484. The best to all four of you! One of my favourite food blogs! Cheers from Canada.

  485. Just joined and looking forward to making many delicious recipes.  I have diabetes, well controlled, and find that I can still cook many recipes, although I must add or subtract that which would make my blood glucose unstable.

I’ve had two corgis that I loved and miss terribly.  I’m too old now to have another one,  but I do have two lovely felines to keep me company.

Your recipes look delightful and creative.  Keep up the good work!

    • Hi Tomi, I am also diabetic, type 2 have trouble controlling my sugar. Do have any advise? Would be appreciated. Thanks, don’t know if you can reply to me , my name is Betty Nelson live in Kentucky, am on facebook..Hope you can reply. Thanks

  486. That is so awesome, I love your site and your recipes. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding, wish you both all the joy in the world. Dogs are so cute!!! Thanks for sharing the Instant Pot Roast recipe, I’m trying it tonight.

    Good Bless.

  487. Tired, working mom spots Instant Pot Chicken soup in google search, walking into Safeway in in a pitch black rainy parking lot. That looks tasty. That looks like I can actually cook it. Visits website to get recipe when she gets home. Immediately loves the story, the name, Damn Delicious, and the fact family pets are named after South Park characters. Win Win.. Off to make the soup. I am a kitchen disaster who burns fish sticks. Glad I stumbled on this website!

  488. Absolutely love your website! Welcome to Chicago – hope you like it here!

  489. Hi there!

I just have to say, I love the photographs of Butters and Cartman LOL. My family and I are big South Park fans, not to mention enormous dog lovers, LOL.

Your website I’ve just discovered while browsing the web,, and after seeing your recipe for Swedish meatballs, I’ve already gone to the store and came back, ready to make for this evenings dinner. Thank you for such an elegant suggestion to the never ending question of a mother: What to make for dinner? LOL.

  490. This is my first time to the site and I am thrilled, this is the first site that I can say I would cook 99% of the recipes! The recipes are easy and full of great ingredients I would be happy to serve to my family and friends.

Thanks so much for making my day!
    Happy New Year!!

    Alison

  491. Have all of your cookbooks and follow you on Instagram. Love your stories. Can’t wait to see pictures of the wedding.

  492. You have my dream career!  I’m also in Chicago and love your site!

  493. Would like to follow your recipes. I made your Hot and Sour soup. Very nice. Good wishes to you and Ben in your future.

  494. Chungah Rhee,
I accidentally ran across your site today, Merry Christmas!, and the picture of the Bang Bang Chicken grabbed me. The thought of some nice chicken pieces with Panko crumbs and chili sauce, well, just spelling it out makes my mouth water again and I haven’t even tasted it yet!
You and your handsome Corgi’s are show stoppers-Congratulations!

And a big congratulations on your planned wedding in June. I wish you and yours all the best.

  495. Wow! I think I was one of your early readers– I didn’t realize you were a Korean American (like me!) and didn’t know you are now doing this full-time. Congrats to you! I made my own rendition of toffee, but have been inspired by your recipe too. Keep up the good work!

  496. Awww…Love the “About” page & the info about your adorable corgis & the pictures!! Way to go about making this into a business!!!

  497. I love these recipes! Do you ever post nutritional info?

  498. Are you planning to release another cookbook?  If so, when will it be released?  I have both of your cookbooks and I love them.

  499. Thanks for the good read on your bio. I’m trying your Mac n Cheese, tweaking it to match what I have on hand. I’ll let you know how it comes out.

  500. How am I just now seeing your website!!??? I’m looking up recipes for all my thanksgiving fixings and… well… all roads seem to lead to you.  Cant wait to tell everyone on thursday where all the deliciousness came from 🙂 Thanks so much!

  501. So….I follow the Australian/Korean singer Dami Im and after running out of superlatives to describe her outstanding beauty, I typed Damn Delicious and here I am….:)
    Those scones….YUM!

  502. like your site and look forward to eating delicious food.

  503. My 16 y/o adopted chinese daughter Scout loves Korean food so I’m so glad to find your blog today to try your recipes.  We’re foodies and I’m sure we will love these recipes after reading people’s comments.  I love that they don’t look too difficult.  Just ordered your recipe books.  I plan to give them as Christmas presents to her this year.  Cooking is so nurturing and I’ll be glad to cook some Asian cuisine with her.  I’m mostly a southern cook b/c it’s what I grew up on.  I’ll update you when we cook something together soon.  We love to see such positive Asian representation in the mainstream media.  You need your own show on the Food Network!

  504. I’ve been cooking your recipes for awhile now & they are fabulous!! I need a recipe for Ginseng Chicken Soup! A local health food store called Lazy Acres sells it here & it’s better than Chicken Noodle anyday! I tried making it myself & I was close but the Ginseng was super bitter, any suggestions how to take the bitter out of it? Or is it the type of Ginseng?

  505. I follow your Insta and live your little stumpers! I also really love your recipes and wanted to ask if your cookbook has complete nutritional information in it. I’m Diabetic and have to watch my carbs and really want to attempt some of your Insta pot recipes.

I’ve also recently moved to the Midwest from warmer temps and am thoroughly enjoying your outdoor adventure posts with the doggies- our dog just saw snow for the first time ever this week!

  506. I am not a very good at cooking. After watching your videos, you have made it look so easy to follow.I am going to try your cauliflower rice recipe and if it’s a success I will certainly keep on following your recipes. Thank you

  507. Good afternoon! I am looking through the recipes, especially your slow cooker french onion soup, but can’t find the calorie count.
I am going to make the soup this weekend, but would love to know the calories.
Please let me know, and answer why you don’t post the nutritional information.

    Thank you

    • Hi Sharon! Nutritional information is provided only for select recipes at this time. However, if it is not available for a specific recipe, we recommend using free online resources at your discretion (you can Google “nutritional calculator”). Hope that helps!

  508. Oh my, we made the Thai Coconut Curry Soup the other night.  What can I say….it’s absolutely delicious.  Will be making it again very soon.  Followed your recipe with everything except the Thai basil leaves, couldn’t find them, so just used regular basil leaves.  Having visited Vietnam last year, we saw the Thai basil leaves and had them in Pho. Keep your wonderful recipes coming.  They are all so Yummy!

    • You can order dried Thai basil on “the site that sells everything”.  It’s not like eating green curry in Bangkok, but it’s better than trying to find a substitute.

  509. I love your yummy creations!! Tonight I’m making the skillet lemon dill chicken thigh dinner – can’t wait. I follow you on IG and your sweet corgis – so much fun to watch them and stumps! Keep up the great work.

  510. I love your recipes and really appreciate them. I am more of a watch and do. I always see your “other recipe” videos on the recipe page but never see the actual one I’m looking at, is there something I’m missing on the page? I love to watch videos and learn from them.

Congrats and I love your dogs.

  511. New to this site. Like the ease of the recipes. Keep them coming.

  512. I have a lot of good recipes show up on my fb feed…. from Keto to home cooking comfort food. But no other speaks to me as much as yours.   Photography impeccable, recipes yummy and just fancy enough, but attainable and damn delicious.   I have recommended you to all my fellow moms out there.

    Good luck and keep cooking!
    P.S. congrats on the engagement!

  513. I’m from Brooklyn and then Queens, and now we’re in Northwest Arkansas. I don’t think I could move back to cold weather the way you did, to Chicago.
I just baked your almond butter granola and will be topping my yogurt with it. My fave brunch place makes their own for an acai bowl, so I’m looking forward to building my own version.
Thanks for the step by step.

  514. I just found your site and love it!!!! Going to try a lot of recipes this week! The “PRINT’ button does not work, however.

    • I also thought the print button didn’t work but after you click on it and the recipe shows up, look at the tiny boxes on the upper left corner of the page–that’s where you’ll see “Print this recipe.” I just did it so I know it works. Best regards from another new fan of this delightful cooking site!

  515. I just stumbled upon some of your recipes on Pinterest. I’m completely obsessed already. Everything looks so easy and delicious. I just ordered your books off of amazon (one out of stock?) and subscribed to your emails.
I can pretty much say from here on out I do not think I will need to look at any other websites for recipe ideas. Yours has it all and just how I like things!!
    Thank you!!
Im super excited to get started on some today 🙂

  516. where are the recipes?I cant get any recipes to try

  517. I am an adopted South Korean and recently found out that I am lactose intolerant. Are you not? Because you make so many dishes with dairy…I love your recipes but can’t make half of them it seems!

    • I make the chicken mushroom vegetable soup almost every week with a half can of regular coconut milk/ cream. It tasted amazing! I also add fresh chopped rosemary in the soup. It’s one of our favorites.

  518. Love your site! I am from Middle Village Queens too….small world

What part were you from? I am obsessed with cooking/baking I would love to do what you do, just feel like it is impossible! lol

Well I am a big fan and now that I know your from Queens I like you more lol

  519. Chungah, As our house is in disarray due to a kitchen remodel, I wasn’t able to find my dog treat recipe that I had planned to make for our church fair in Framingham, MA. So I googled “recipes for dog treats” and found your website. I have printed out Peanut Butter Dog Treats and Peanut Butter Banana Dog Treats and plan to make both of them to sell at the bake shop table which I co-chair. I will certainly give you credit for the recipes!
Along the way of perusing your website I found Cranberry Pecan Baked Brie which I MUST make for Thanksgiving. It sounds amazing. I have to make your website a frequent destination to check out your other recipes.
Good luck with all you cook!

PS My daughter and her boyfriend are also obsessed with Corgis. I have a 12 yr old Havanese named Cody.

  520. Love the ease of your. Recipes

  521. I absolutely love your recipes. I use your site more than any other to fix meals. I’ve fixed the Jalapeno Chicken, did my own recipe for a burrito that had sweet potatoes, quinoa, and less beef than usual but fixed the chimchurri sauce with it and tasted fantastic. Also fixed the Creamy Roasted Red Pepper Pasta, really good but being lactose intolerant I’ll have to try coconut milk next time. I’m making the Sheet Pan Chicken Fajita’s right now. Can’t wait to taste it. And I love your Corgi… I love them too. The Corgi butt pic made me smile. I didn’t grow up learning how to cook and I’m so glad your recipes are so easy to access and so good. Oh yes, also I wanted to share something. In my search to cook with less sugar, I found as a replacement for brown sugar. I still haven’t got the quantities quite right but Stevia and Maple extract works great as far as replacing taste in sauces.

  522. I love your recipes.  Just made the sheet pan Fajitas. Loved them. I bought one of your cookbooks through Amazon. Love your instant pot recipes.   Keep cooking and sharing.  Your my favourite online chef!!
I also had a corgi.  Best dogs ever, so smart.

  523. Just found you on Pinterest and now I am a fan of your IG….your dogs are the best and make me laugh out loud! Sitting here making a grocery list so I can actually return back to that mysterious land otherwise known as my kitchen 🙂 Can’t wait to try your fabulous recipes! Thanks for sharing!

  524. I am so happy that I pinned on of your chicken recipes last week and that made me explore your blog!! bookmarked so many nice appetisers and recipes and can not wait to try your recipes now. Your recipes look so simple and the food looks so delicious! so happy to have stumbled upon your blog.

  525. Hi Chungah!

I follow you on instagram and I’m such a fan of your recipes and have tried a few of them and loved every single one that I’ve tried. So did my family!!! I also love seeing updates on your dogs on instagram stories. They are really cute. Congrats on the new pup.

I’ll be heading to Chicago at the end of the month with some girlfriends and was wondering if you would recommend restaurants that we NEED to try. We would love your input!

  526. Love your recipes and I love Corgis!  I follow you on Instagram and you and Butters are my favs!  When do we get to see new puppy?

  527. Hi Chungah,

I laughed out loud when I read “Butters likes to roll in poo”. What a shitty thing to do!

Love your recipes and your photos are great!

  528. I love your recipes. I don’t remember how I learned about you. I went to Korea on mission trip years ago but they were the most hospitable people I have ever meant. I will share your website with my 13 year old granddaughter who just learning to cook.

I was signed up under [email protected] but I resigned up under my new email [email protected].

    Keep up the good work.

    Lee

  529. I want to try your Restaurant style Mexican Rice recipe.  Can I use Jasmine rice instead of Basmati, and will I have to change the amount of liquid?  Usually Jasmine rice requires twice the amount of liquid as rice.
Also, can this dish be made ahead and warmed?

  530. I really like your site. As a single retired mother of three its been hard to figure out how to cook for 1. I love your food so ive kinda bribed my son n his gf to trade some of my prepped meals for things I need so I don’t eat same thing all week Luv how u simplify it and always add alcohol at the end! Im hooked and sharing! I like ur style! I luv the Korean touch..my fave.

    • Nyoka, I live by myself too. These recipes are delicious. I make it like it says, then divide the meal into four (or six, or whatever) portions, freeze two, put one in the refrigerator for day after tomorrow, and eat one for dinner. Yum! Delicious dinners at the touch of a microwave button!

      Nancy

  531. Phi
I will try the shrimp with garlic!

  532. Going to try and make your Chinese Chicken Salad tonight

  533. Your recipes look great! Can’t wait to try the Shrimp In Garlic Sauce! I was a good cook myself, but burned out after years of cooking! You have inspired me to get into cooking again! My husband will be thrilled! Thank you sooo much!

  534. Stumbled upon your Easy Shrimp and Broccoli Stir Fry by accident . Made it twice now – it is so delicious!! So now I am hooked on your website. Can’t wait to try more. Also l
LOVE your Corgi! Always wanted one.

  535. You had me at corgi! But I love your recipes and will be back often to check things out!

    betty

  536. I’ve been having the best time trying new recipes ever since I stumbled upon your blog. The green curry soup was TO DIE FOR. I can’t wait to make it for my parents next time I visit. Thank you! 🙂

  537. Chungah, When I printed off the recipe for your Olive Garden Pasta e Fagioli, I cropped off the bottom couple of lines which went onto a second page and then realized your “Damn Delicious” was not on my copy. As a marketer, I suggest adding it at the top, under the recipe title, at the beginning of the “yield, etc” line. Colleen

  538. Hi Chungah,
I’ve enjoyed using your recipes for a couple of years. When I tried to access you chicken sate recipe today I was required to identify myself. Minor irritation I know but wonder why this is required this time .

  539.  My daughter and I love your recipes! Additionally, we love Korean and other types of Asian food. Recently we transitioned towards a more low carb lifestyle. (Keto) is it possible that in the future you could take some of your more popular recipes and “KETO-FY’ them?  So many many people are transitioning to low-carb, and yet have an affinity for Asian cuisine, which you have mastered.

Specifically in the very near future, can you do a simple recipe for how to bake homemade Gochujang?  It appears to be an essential element in many Korean dishes. So the ability to make a low-carb version that is suitable for the keto lifestyle would be fabulous. But, request is formally made for low-carb recipes in and among your many delicious offerings. Thank you very much.

  540. Hello Chungah, I’m glad I stumbled across your site.
I’m kinda between a rock and a hardplace. I lived in Japan for my 4 high school years, and for being a young twit, I came away with some good living experiences . I Traveled to Korea and loved the food, little by little Korean dishes started to appear in Japan on local menus. One of the dishes was beef Bulgogi. I was hooked badly. My dad even bought a Bulogi brass table top grill.
My problem is that what I had in Korea and Japan is not even close to the dishes here. I mean the dishes here are okay, just not as good. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. There are ZERO Asian restaurants of any denomination here in south Florida. So if your looking to become a millionaire for real, move here. We fly to Wash D.C. 4 times a year to eat at” Peking Gourmet Inn”. The owners have been my friends for 40 years and I’ve tried to talk them into opening a place here, but they’re getting burnt out and not interested. They started out with 10 tables and now seat 500. They sell 3000 plus Peking Duck at $50 a pop over the weekend. Many of their customers don’t even order duck! Go figure. Actually Google their menu for fun. Yes, they are millionaires over and over. Here the Asian places go out of business faster than you can imagine.

  541. I am so excited to have found you. Your foil packets will save me from nonstop hot dogs while camping. Thank you!!

  542. Just discovered your recipe for No Knead Rosemary Bread, so will try it for sure

  543. Hi! I honestly don’t know how I stumbled upon your website, but I’m so happy I did. I’ve already found a few recipes I plan on trying out asap, namely your instant pot chili and slow cooker butter chicken. I also plan on getting your cookbook.
    Best of luck to you!

  544. Good Morning,
I just purchased Damn Delicious Meal prep from Costco. It was a total impulse buy and I absolutely love it. I even got my husband on board with working together on the weekend doing meal prep. I do have one question. I see on the front cover, there is a noodle meal prep dish in the middle but I can’t seem to find that recipe in the book. I am interested in cold recipes for my husband work since he is generally not in an area that has a microwave.

    Appreciate your reply.

  545. I just saw that you moved to Chicago this year! On this snowy day on the eve of May, WELCOME! I have been following your site for a few years now — quite by accident, as every recipe I seem to like/pin keeps leading me back to Damn Delicious! I finally decided to read the “about” page and had to chuckle when you said you grew up in traditional Korean household where your destiny seemed to be lawyer, dentist or doctor. I have a Vietnamese mother, so — no surprise — I’m a lawyer, but I love to prepare home-cooked meals as often as possible, with your help! Your success is very inspiring. Thank you for helping everyday folks cook with clear, easy-to-follow, and tasty recipes. I’ll bet your parents are very proud!

  546. I just came across you on this site!!! Enjoying your recipes and printing to take home to try!
Also don’t become a Cubs fan!!!

  547. Where is the recipe for that dip shown above? That looks INCREDIBLE!!
P.S. I LIVE for your shrimp fried rice meal prep recipe! It is my favorite go-to lunch and my 4 year old gobbles the leftovers up. I substituted pork one time and he won’t stop asking for it!
    Love this website!!

  548. I really liked baked zucchini fries.  Delicious.  Do you think this recipe would work for green beans?  Thanks

  549. I’ve been online looking for low sodium recipes. I happened to see your cookbook “Damn Delicious Meal Prep: 115 Easy Recipes for Low-Calorie, High Energy Living”. Are your recipes low in sodium content? Thank you!

  550. Jennifer and I would like to know if you can add somewhere on your page your pantry staples? The item every kitchen should have in stock?

  551. I love your site!  I have an unrelated question.  What is the color of your kitchen cabinets?  I covet them.  TIA.

  552. Oh, this is a fantastic way to get your kids eating broccoli.

  553. Hi, I stumbled on to your site while searching for easy dinner recipes. I am new to cooking (started last year when my baby turned 1) and basically in need of lots of easy, quick recipes for my family. Your site looks lovely. Can’t wait to try some of your recipes. And please keep us posted on restaurants/places to try in Chicago. Thank u!

  554. Hi Chungah…I have recently found your site and I am loving it. Can’t wait to try some of the Asian inspired recipes. Can you please post a recipe for an easy japchae?

  555. Hi Chungah!
It’s dinnertime (again) and I’m loving your website. It’s my first time looking about the “About Me” section and I see that you moved to “Chiberia” in 2019? Where it that ?? A cross between China and Siberia? Sounds pretty bad compared to LA 🙂

  556. Everytime I want a delicious recipe for something, yours is the first to pop up on every Google search, so I started following your site. I love your recipes and how yummy they are, and now I find that you have and love corgis so I am 100% in love! My corgi Totakeke loves watching me cook your delicious recipes! I intend to.kewp following for more delicious recipes and cute corgi pictures!

  557. Hi Chungah, your book literally changed my life and I wanted to write and say thank you!  In 2017, the company I was leading went out of business and I was home for 6 months. I found your book and started cooking for the family every day. I’ve tried pretty much all of them and really like that the ingredients are in the same order of the process. Every recipe was incredibly well received by the biggest skeptics…my teenagers. I’m looking forward to the day you decide to make a 2nd version of your 1st book. Thanks for what you do: )

  558. One of my favorites! Especially with a loaf of brick oven Italian bread!

  559. Hi! Love your website! I have made your Asian meatball recipe. Would I need to adjust it at all to make it pork and make it patties instead of meatballs?

  560. Can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE come up with a tasty recipe for Jerusalem Artichokes?
I have them growing in my garden and would like to utilize them in our meals but they have somewhat of an off-putting twang to them.

  561. Love the recipe book. Glad I found it searching for something else. Could you let me know what kind of Whey Protein Powder you buy? I am trying to make you Mini Pumpkin Protein Donuts.

  562. I get compliments on recipes of yours that I make all the time. I tell everyone who loves them to follow you 🙂

  563. I just want to thank you for your amazing recipes.  My husband discovered your Sweet and Sour Chicken recipe and it has become his favorite dish to make.  We have it 3-4 times a month.

I just found your Mongolian Beef recipe and am looking forward to trying it.  I have a feeling that it will also become part of our menu rotation!

Congratulations on your success and keep up the great work!

  564. Can you add somewhere on your page your pantry staples? The item every kitchen should have in stock?

  565. Where do I get the prep containers. Amazon has some that are 1-2-3 compartment. What size do you use for your recipes I’m ordering book and need the containers.

  566. Pls share your Korean porridge!! I always get chicken broth from our local Chinese restaurant when I have to be on a clear diet and didnt know if this was similar. (Those days are SO hard!!)

  567. I just found your website and can’t wait to use your recipes. Will be buying your book as soon as I find it. All recipes sound delicious. Thank you

  568. looks fun and delish

  569. In the 1980’s I would travel to Korea (mostly Seoul) on business. Most of the traditional Koreans I interfaced with (female and male) were engineers and damn good engineers too. Anyway, my wife found your site today and showed it to me as in “look at this, I’m going to make some of these recipes”.

“Good”, I said, as many of the recipe pictures look delicious enough to eat by themselves.

  570. First time post, Saw your site two-three months ago and I love it. I’ve made 2 dozen recipes at least so far, pear&apple crisp is in the slow cooker right now. Love your recipes they’re DELICIOUS, quick and you don’t need outlandish ingredients. Can’t wait for the crisp and new recipes.

  571. I love your recipes Ms. Rhee.  Keep us informed, please!

  572. Great stuff here. Love your recipes. You make my family very happy 🙂

  573. Hi Chungah,

I am a first time “Damn Delicious” user having made, just last night, your garlic shrimp for the whole family. We wanted something we had not had before and of course we had fresh shrimp begging to be used. In one word, we “loved” your recipe. The steps were easy to follow, the ingredients were fresh and the final meal was delicious! Thank you for following your passion, we will definitely be back!

  574. Can’t wait to get started.

  575.  Thank you so much for your spam fried rice recipe. It rocks! It’s exactly what I was looking for. You are amazing. I live in Maine! But my son lives in LA and my daughter lives in San Jose, and I have lots of family in San Diego!   My daughter-in-law is Japanese, my niece and nephew and sister-in-law are Korean,  and my son taught in China for eight years! My other sister-in-law is from Thailand.    I have learned over the years a lot about Asian cooking.   So much more to learn.
Happy cooking! I’m learning a lot about Asian cooking, yet  I still can cook a good lobster and fish chowder!

  576. I love it that you are in Los Angeles and that you followed your heart. When I was much younger I followed my heart but unfortunately I did not stay the course. So I would just like to suggest to you that you not allow something else distract you somewhere else. Instead follow your heart and take the course that makes you happiest.
I just retired from my 2nd career and am looking forward to being free and being able to do whatever I choose to do not what I have to do to pay the mortgage or the rent.
    I just love your story.
I feel proud that you had the courage to do this and you are succeeding.
I am going to make your Italian Wedding Soup for my husband and I tomorrow.
I found your site because I asked for a tasty delicious soup.

  577. Just found your page! Love every recipie. My dogo loves the homemade cookies she has been having recently too! Keep cooking 🙂

  578. Was lookimg at a recipe in a blog and your blog was mentioned, love your website. Your corgi is so cute. They are fantastic dogs. I recently went back to work and I am trying to find more freeze and dump IP meals. In 30 minutes, I can have dinner ready and still get to the gym!

  579. I want to start making my dog’s feed. He weighs 70 lbs, not fat. How much of say the easy crockpot dog food would he consume being fed twice a day?

  580. Love your videos. Best recipes and not complicated. I do get your emails and look forward to them.

  581. My first time making your Thai Sweet Potato and Carrot soup today. I made the my own stock and used regular carrots and I must say it is sooo yummy! Great on a cold, rainy day.

  582. You are such amazing

  583. Dear Chungah, you have an awesome website! I made your swedish meatballs and they were sooooo good.

  588. I want to be like you when I grow up! Which is crazy because I’m sure that I’m older than you are! I just want to say that you are an inspiration and one of my favorite food bloggers. I’m happy that you were able to turn your passion into profit. Keep up the great work! I wish you and your family all the best!

  589. Hello Chungah AND Butters.
I would love for you to tell me how I can find a bone cookie cutter with my dog Romeo’s name?  I love all your doggie recipes and Romeo LOVES them even more.
Thank you for making our lives happier ‍
    Joanna from Newtown, Connecticut

  590. Great job! I absolutely love all of your recipes!! Everything is so fresh and delicious.

  591. Just came across your blog and it is amazing! Going to make once of your dishes tonight! Thank you!

  592. Do you have a cookbook with all these delicious recipes? I have a list of people I would live to give one to!!

  593. Hi Chungah,

Just stumbled across your website! So inspiring and such great everyday easy recipes that I love. As a lover of food, fitness and nutrition I find it great how you use your company to reach others in an easy and visual way. People love seeing how things are made and how they look through simple videos, pictures and not just the recipe alone.

    From an inspired Canadian fan,
    Holly:)

  594. Hi, where do I find the recipe for the biscuits shown above ?

    They look delicious.

  595. Thanks for making easy recipes. I like good & easy to prepare food. So love your site.
Stumbled upon it while I was grocery shopping. I was planning to make pesto sauce & viola 5 ingredients or under !!!
    Thanks very much!

  596. Suggestion – an easy way to shred the pork if you have a Kitchen-Aid mixer, use the “beaterblade” attachment for about 1.5-2 minutes, you’ll have everything shredded in an instant!

  597. Damned delicious is the best! I am so happy that Chungah Rhee has made a great site with tested recipes. I cannot sing anymore praises for how well each recipe turns out, from the IP or soup they are all excellent.

  598. I would like to try the pasta with mushroom and zuccchini recipe.
However I am one person. I know I can reduce all the items to a lesser amount 1 zucchini, less mushrooms etc. How about he water? Is that amount the same if you are cooking 1/4 of pasta?
Thanks would really like to try.

  599. Hi, I’m a 76 year old who loves to cook and entertain for my family and friends.  We have had the privilege to have lived all over the world, many years in Asia and I especially love your Thai and Korean recipes. Keep them coming!!!!

  600. Hi I just discovered your page.i have a 16 years old min pin I have a bunch of recipes but I am looking for a grain free diet, please how much to feed him

  601. Hi there Chungah
I am thrilled to have stumbled across a recipe of yours on Pinterest and its has been history ever since. I have forwarded many of your recipes to my grown non-cooking daughters! And they have been encouraged to try a few and eat at home. Thanks for all you do and thank you for being on top of finding great, simple to make but tasty dishes. I am always willing to try anything you put out. Keep them coming. And Stanley says hello to Butters.

  602. I scored high points for serving your Lemon Garlic Shrimp Kabobs last night–This will definitely be my new “go-to” recipe as they were delicious, easy to put together and present well. Thanks!

  603. I am looking forward to making  dishes with your recipes. I simply love Asian cuisine…. You have a very sweet dog…

  604. I am no longer sure if your food led me to Butters or Butters led me to your food. Doesn’t matter though, now I have both to enjoy. Love your Butters, will try out your recipes now that I have joined the blog. Well done!

  605. I am glad i found your recipes. Loved all your recipes and i am trying out one by one. Everything is detailed and it is easy to cook. Thanks for helping us out on our daily tension on what to cook. Keep cooking

  606. Hi there.
I’m in the process of buying a slow cocker but it’s a jungle out there.
I was wondering if you could recommend a brand/model?
We are a family of 2 and I’m situated in Denmark.
    Thank you for your trouble
    Regards Vivian

  607. Butters and your recipes. Thanks Chungah!

  608. I was first introduced to you and your cooking when I started using Pinterest about 3 years ago.   I was planning my wedding and some friends suggested I look on Pinterest for ideas.  I got on and started looking at stuff and lo and behold, one tap on wedding dress silhouettes led to posts on the best time of year to pick your wedding date which led to venue locations and then pictures of tablecloths and runners which led to pictures of tablescapes which led to reception food ideas which led to pictures of food which led to a picture of one of your recipes.  I tapped on the picture (because I was drooling) and saw the name of your blog and thought “damn skippy this looks damn delicious!”  One look at he recipe and I. Was. Hooked.  Talk about good food and EASY recipes?!?  Since following you and using your recipes I have ONLY had to shop for ONE item that I wouldn’t normally have in my pantry…toasted sesame oil.   And oh how I now love toasted sesame oil!

You are an inspiration to home cooks who can cook something that will make a person slap their mama without the stress of culinary school (hours of standing which leads to chronic back pain and cut fingers) or having to spend $350/lb for black truffles that will only be garnish on a dish ‍♀️‍♀️.    Thank you for sharing your gift!  Your recipes are my FIRST line of defense for a healthy quick and easy home cooked meal that makes me feel like I’m am Claire Dunfee when I can pull it off after a long work day and my husband and nine year old son BOTH lick their plates and ask “Is that all you made?”

  609. wow ,you are doing it .I really enjoy your recipes.

  610. This is the perfect website for our family — my husband is from Thailand and I’m a blue-eyed girl from Vermont. Our 3 kids enjoy everything from curry to Mac and cheese but my husband definitely prefers things a little more Asian-y.  I made your Honey Baked Sesame chicken last night and everyone LOVED it!!  It was easy and I had every ingredient on hand.
I am looking forward to checking here for all kinds of recipes so we stay out of the rut.  I will make the Funfetti cookies with my girls today.  So excited!

  611. Hello! Came across your site quite by accident & loved the simplicity of your recipes. So excited to try many of the Instant Pot ones that am looking to buy a 3 quart pot -am a one person household. But I noticed that the recipes are for the 6 quart. Can the recipes be “adjusted” for the 3 quart? Or can I follow the recipes as they are & still use the 3 quart? Thank you!

  612. Just discovered you on Pinterest and enjoy your approach on preparing and creating tasty meals that a guy like me (who rarely cooks) can create! Many thanks and keep up the good work, I’m on board –
    Ric

  613. Hi what conversions do you use for the uk.
I need to convert cups to grams

  614. I am looking forward to trying one of these delicious recipes today- I just found your website! I purchased an IP yesterday – it’s still in the box! I crave fresh ingredients & simple recipes! Love your dog! I have two pooches of my own!

  615. You have a new convert!!! So far I’ve done 3 of your recipes and absolutely LOVE all three! I found this site by accident. I love to cook, but I am single now and just about all the recipes I used when I was married are hard to convert to single servings. This site is so easy and the recipes are really damn delicious. I can’t wait to try your roasted potatoes…

  616. Where did you get the cookie cutter used for the home made dog treats?  The one that stamped Butters’ name in the treat? Please share!

  617. But where did you LEARN so much about technique and balance?  Are great cooks BORN?  I can follow a recipe and I have tackled most ALL cuisines, but I fear that my taste buds are not sophisticated enough to EVER allow me to achieve your level of success.  But I certainly enjoy your choices and your narratives. Thank you!

  618. I tried your Sausage, Spinach and Bean Crock pot soup this weekend. We all loved it!! The taste was perfect. The only thing I did different was that I used kielbasa. It was so easy and so flavorful.

  619. Have made several of your recipes now over the last year and they are always well received. Last night the P.F. Chang copycat chicken lettuce wraps. Only thing I changed was I used boneless skinless thighs that I roughly ground in my Cuisinart. We have a 9 month Husky and recently found a stray that is a black Lab Corgi mix, possibly something else according to the vet because he has a tail that curls just like a Pug, lol. He is super sweet and about 1 year old. We named him Padfoot and he gets along so well with Yuki. Butters is super cute! Anyway just wanted to let you know that so far the consistency in your recipes amaze me. So many blogs out there have hit or miss recipes. Thanks!

  620. I just discovered your delightful website today while searching for a Baked Zuccine recipe. I made the fries, to freeze (uncooked), so I wouldn’t “lose” the bunch of zucchini our neighbor brought from her garden. I missed one step and combined the flour with Panko/Cheese mixture. Before I realized what I had done,  half  the yield was breaded…do you think they’ll bake-up okay? The other half was done right and I look forward to having them with my first effort at homemade Marinara Sauce! Anyways, good luck with your business, I’ll be visiting your site again!

  621. I can’t believe how delicious your recipes are, and beautiful you are.

  622. Hi Chunyah,

Could I print your BLT Salad recipe with this link to your website in my blog:
    https://damndelicious.net/2014/01/13/blt-chopped-salad/

    My website is http://www.YourBetter.Health
    This link is my blog:
    http://yourbetter.health/yourbetterhealthblog/

I post my blog on IG: stephanie_d_shorr and FB: Stephanie Shorr

  623. I’ve made many of your recipes and especially enjoy doing the ones on the grill. We enjoy outdoor cooking all year here in Kentucky and even grilling in the snow! There’s something special about food cooked over coals!

  624. Hi I was looking at your recipe and then I see your adorable and handsome Butters . Love your recipes and corgis.
We have one too Ripley the fluffy corgi.
Great seeing Butters on your page.

  625. You are my absolute favorite food blog. All your recipies have been delicious! If I need an idea for dinner or want to look for a recipe I always check your blog first. Thank you!!!

  626. I’m really digging the new site. I cook something from the amazing list at least once every other week, which I’ve been doing for the past year and a half. Thank You so much for this. When I can’t figure out what to eat, I just come here cause I know it’ll be “Damn Delicious!”

  627. Love the 1 pot Baked Ziti ❤️

  628. Love the new look.

  629. Butters says he resents that lol. Love the new website. Love the recipes. Love pictures of Butters. Thanks for working so hard to keep us all looking like chefs in our own kitchens. Keep up the good work!

    Linda

  630. Your recipes are the best-delicious and easy

  631. Love the recipes. Keep doing what you love! I also love the dog! I have a bulldog named matilda

  632. I love the new theme, it matches your personality! I think one of my favorites and also the first recipe I tried from your website was the honey walnut shrimp recipe. I highly recommend it.

  633. I consider your chicken recipes TDF (to die for)!  I have used so many of them!

  634. 안녕하세요! 만나서 반갑습니다.
Let me first start of saying

I spent well over a month driving around Korea and spending time in Seoul. I have never, in all my travels, met a kinder, more considerate and thoughtful people than the Koreans I met all over the country. Whenever I was lost which was often, they put themselves out to help me. When I was hungry, they freely offered food. When I was getting wet in the rain, they gave me an umbrella. And the friendship they offered this oblivious stranger is incomparable. So, as you can tell, I’m a big fan of Korean recipes, cooking and its hospitable culture. Except for some of the modern, very sweet recipes, Korean dishes are extremely healthy, nutritious and aid the body’s digestion. I’m always on searching for easy Korean recipes that emulate traditional Korean flavors, using traditional herbs, spices, sweeteners, and other ingredients while being easy to create. Thus far, I enjoy your easy recipes that are based on traditional Koreans dishes.

  635. I love making your recipes particularly for Sunday dinners when my extended family  is at my house for dinner. I have a request.  I am on Weight Watchers and I need to count my points which means I need to know the calories, saturated fats, protein, etc.  sometimes you have the information following your recipes and sometimes you don’t.

Is it possible to be consistent with the nutrition chart with each recipe you post.

    • Hi Vanessa! Nutritional information is provided only for select and some new recipes at this time. However, if it is not available for a specific recipe, we recommend using free online resources at your discretion (you can Google “nutritional calculator”) to obtain such information. Hope that helps!

  636. I love your site and recommend it to everyone. The food is always delish and my family loves to pretty much everything (especially the Asian inspired stuff). Thanks for the site; it’s my go-to for my family.  And the fact that the ingredients are stuff I already have and the directions are simple helps too. But they’re also so tasty!

  637. I just love your website, layout and, of course, the recipes. The recipes are delicious!!!! I love the way you nestle in “my other recipes”. That catches my eye. The print button works well. Good Asian recipes are difficult to find. Your pictures of the foods look delectable. Good illustration!! I like the way you show how to make your dishes.

Overall, good job!! Keep it up.

It is unfortunate, however, that Google allows so many popups.

  638. I came across your wonderful website looking for a good Chili’s copycat Cajun Chicken Pasta recipe. I will be making it tonight – Can’t wait !
One question – I’d love to train in culinary arts, but cooking schools can be so expensive. Do you have any recommendations for culinary training in the LA/OC area ? Thanks and looking forward to your recipe updates ! Go Dodgers Dogs !

  639. I have a white and orange fluffy cat named Butters! Never heard of another pet named butters. Also the instant pot beef stew was lovely. Thank you!

  640. Chungah, I Love-Love-Love your recipes. Oh, and you’re well presented yourself. Keep those great recipes coming. Thanks. Dave

  641. I like to search for recipes that contain the food I have on-hand.  I scroll through until I find one that looks good, print it, and make it.  I have definitely noticed that the majority of the recipes I have selected come from damndelicious.  I figured it was time to get intentional and get on your mailing list.  Thanks for putting together this wonderful resource!

  642. I am a Chef so, I am constantly looking for fresh ideas. I do mostly Buffet style for groups from 75-300 people. I do breakfast, lunch and dinner sometimes , for 3 days and longer…This is done just by me so, with little help, fun, attractive meals that healthy and EASY is a BLESSING to me… Love your site, its very colorful, healthy and attractive ideas…That, I can do in mass amounts EASILY. With a 3 or 4 choice entree, I like to have ONE nice healthy choice for them…anyway let’s email if you want…I am not much with computers. So,I use my own books mostly and I like to do spins off of other recipes and Yours are great for That…Oh yeah, I wanted to ask you if the FACT that your SO stunningly beautiful HAS any thing to do with your success!!! haha LOVE ya, Have a great day!!!

  643. Hi CHUNGAH,

I like your recipes. It looks amazing, CHUNGAH it’s good that first, it was the hobby and now it’s Job! I’m so glad I found you on websites. Your recipes are looking so delicious and make easy for everybody. Keep cooking!

  644. I absolutely adore your cooking, I just got married a couple of years ago and never cooked in my life. Until I got married I always thought cooking was so hard but you make it so easy. I never thought I would be making foods that I do today. My husband loves it, my family loves it, I even take your food to parties and they always want my recipes. Damn Delicious is amazing. The food is easy and tastes amazing. Chungah Rhee you are amazing. Thank you for all that you do. Thanks to you I actually enjoy cooking.

  645. I haven’t tried any of your recipes but they all look & sound yummy. Will order your cookbook for sure. Thanks for all your help.

  646. WoW!! JUST now discovered your site…. I am in total AWE of your recipes, and I’ve gone thru about a ream of paper (so far) printing off just the ones that immediately call to me…. I shudder to think what I’m going to have when I’ve thoroughly gone thru all your recipes (like that will ever happen…)

Thank you for this amazing website – I will be eating better and spending less time at it than before because of you!!! Hogs and quiches to you! 😀

  647. I’m the weirdo who found the cookbook before the website. But, then again, I do work in a bookstore, so… The chocolate chip muffin recipe is AMAZING, though I have yet to make them with chocolate chips – made them once with blueberries and blackberries, then again half that and the other half lemon blueberry. The bacon wrapped scallops were RIDICULOUS. Will be trying lemon butter scallops, spaghetti carbonara, and tortellini soup this week. Thanks for an amazing cookbook!

  648. Found firecracker chicken!  Crazy good, can’t wait to try more!

  649. Thanks for the best food website ever (not joking…I make one of your recipes near every night). It is honestly so refreshing to find a place that has normal ingredients that I have on hand (usually) and that doesn’t take an eternity to make or require a rocket scientist to decipher. I have 2 small kids and all of your recipes are child approved and make it easier for me as a mom to come home after a long day at work and put a good meal on the table. I’m extremely thankful for all that you do!

  650. This is my new favorite website!! Finally feel like I’m learning to cook and gaining confidence in my ability to do so.  So far have made 6 dishes off of here in the last couple weeks and they’ve all turned out so good!!   Thank you so much!!

  651. I have always struggled to make my chicken noodle soup have flavor ,even though this does not have noodles it will replace my chicken noodle soup. Thanks for your Fantastic recipes!

  652. Chungah,
I am obsessed with your website, your recipes are easy, fun, and healthy and colorful.  The recipes certainly help make my life as a stay at home mom easy, and they make it seem like I spent all day slaving over a hot stove.  Keep the yummy recipes coming!
Looking forward to the next up and coming damn delicious recipes!
    Jenn in CT

  653. My daughter who is a fantastic cook introduced me to your website.  I love your recipes because they are quick, easy to fix and usually with ingredients I have or can get in our rural area!  They always taste amazing and I rarely change anything, which is unusual for me!  Whether I am looking for something special or just for my husband and myself, I can always count on your site to give me a good suggestion.  Please keep up the good work and keep adding those recipes!!! They are absolutely amazing and definitely Damn Delicious!!!

  654. Hi CHUNGAH,

I just came across your Damn Delicious recipes, while looking for a different recipe for dinner tonight. My husband and I are retired. We were in the restaurant business for thirty five years. He was just commenting yesterday for me to prepare some different recipes. I am anxious to try some of the recipes that many have mentioned in their e-mails. I will also order your new cookbook. I salute you for writing a cookbook, this is something I have wanted to do for years and I have always been working. Now that I have retired I need to get going. Keep up the great job!!

  655. I love your site and make your recipes regularly. One of my resolutions for 2018 is to start using a meal planner in a consistent basis. Are your recipes connected to any of the meal planning apps out there, and if so, which ones? If not, are there any meal apps that you recommend? I’m trying out a few and am inputting my favourite recipes (yours!) by hand, but is there something out there to make it easier! Regardless, if I need to do it by hand I will, ad your recipes are always my go-to recipes for something fast, easy and delicious.

    • Unfortunately, I am not familiar with any meal apps at this time. Sorry!

    • It’s easy. Select your recipe, click on “Print”, then instead of printing, highlight the recipe, copy it and then paste it into your word processing document then tweak the alignment, font, size, etc….. After doing a few hundred, you’ll get really fast.

If there’s SHTML frames around the text portion (drives me nuts), paste the text portion into a notepad. That will strip off all the formatting. Then copy and paste that into your word processing document and do as above.

A convention I established with all my thousands of recipes, is immediately under the recipe’s title in the word document, I copy and paste in the URL so I don’t have to wonder where I got the recipe. When you hit return, it will create an underlined, blue hyperlink to the site so all you have to do is hover over the link, hold control and then left click to go to the page.

After that, I then copy and paste in the photo so I can see how it’s supposed to present. Hope this gives you an idea. Happy cooking…… Dave

  656. Hi Chungah,

I’m so sorry that I have never left a message before regarding your recipes, especially since I have
made many of them and each and every one was very easy to follow and make. They ALL came out Damn Delicious! Thank you for wonderful recipes and a great website!

    A big fan, Coleen

  657. I just tried your recipe for Sheet Pan Shrimp Boil! Phenomenal! So easy and so tasty. Everything was so easy to follow, and it came out better than expected. You have a new fan! Thank you Chungah! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

  658. I found your Damn Delicious beef stew recipe on Facebook.  I am a 68 year old, single man and it was very easy to make and was an instant favorite!!  I shared you recipe with friends and they all love it too.  I am going to try more of your recipes now and get out of my rut of cooking the same things week after week.  BUT!!  I am going to make you beef stew again this weekend for New Years 2018…   You are beautiful and your recipes are delightful and easy.  Thank you for saving my palatee…

  659. Hi Chungah, I stumbled across this website a few months back, and am sure glad I did. My husband and I are empty nesters and I had become so tired of cooking especially just for the two of us. We were eating out more and more which has not been good for our waistline or wallets, but since finding your site I feel a surge of renewed interest and enthusiasm for cooking. Your recipes are so easy to follow and are so-well- damn delicious! For the first time I have been able to make an Asian dish that tastes as good as take-out. I even spent part of my quiet Christmas morning making Teriyaki sauce, just for fun! Thank you, Chungah, and God Bless You and yours.

  660. so glad I found your site! Your recipes are amazing and I’m ordering your cookbook 🙂

  661. I’m so glad I found your website. I just stumbled upon it. Last night I made the Slow Cooker Chicken and Corn Chowder and oh my goodness, it was delicious! I love soups and I love cooking with my crockpot. I see so many crockpot soups on your website that I can’t wait to try. Thanks so much!

  662. i don’t even remember how i found your site — i’ve been on it for years, though, and it IS damn delicious! i have one question — did you name Butters after the South Park character?

  663. We LOVE Butters and Sam! We watch all of your stories on Instagram because my daughter loves to catch a glimpse of them. Oh! And we love your recipes too! Great stuff!

  664. Hey there, ,
Your recipes look amazing. I’m wodering what cheese I could use instead of goat cheese in the cobb salad. I have to stay away from soft cheeses as I am lactose intolerant. Also not keen on Apple cider vinegar for the poppy seed dressing. What could I use instead?

    • Unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot answer with certainty. As always, please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications. Sorry, Linda!

  665. Hello Chungah. While I thoroughly enjoy your delicious recipes, I hope you do not mind for me to say the following. What I find most “Damn Delicious” here – is you! Thank you.

  666. you have described it well. Your recipes look amazing. I just subscribed to you can’t wait to try some

  667. I’ve never been much of a cook and I can never think of what to make for supper, coming across this site was a miracle for me! All of the recipes look so good & easy to make, I already have a list of the ones I want to try out!
Thanks for all your hard work on this site, I really look forward to doing a lot more cooking & becoming more comfortable in the kitchen. 🙂

  668. Hi Chungah,

Asian cooking takes a lot of time over the wok. I don’t like to sweat over the fire in the hot kitchen. I live near the Equator. Your baked recipes with fast frying are ideal. I shall try a few of them with my new small toaster oven, capable of making small meals. Thanks for your recipes and the great ideas.

  669. Love your recipe site. Please add me to your mailing list.

  670. Hey, Chungah! Just had to say that you are a huge inspiration! Love your blog!

  671. Chungah! We’ve just discovered you and your recipes and you’ve changed our family cooking life into something that is so much fun and SO easy! We’ve recently moved from LA back to London, England and having these recipes reminds us so much of our fabulous time in LA. The breakfast burrito especially!
My husband is Chinese and I’d never consider even trying to cook Asian food as he’s so good at it, but your recipes have given me the confidence to give several of them a go-and all have been a big hit! So a big Thank You from the Li’s in London! Keep up the good work-I now visit your website practically every day!

  672. What brand crockpot do you use?

  673. Your recipes are among the best I’ve tried!

  674. I love all your recipes! I haven’t made one dish that hasn’t turned out delicious and they are all so easy. Thank you for making my family dinners easy!

  675. I follow you every single day!! I went to culinary school, have worked in commercial kitchens and have 2 kids who are self-proclaimed foodies! Keep doing what you’re doing! I absolutely love your recipes & photos!

  676. i love you

  677. Hi!

I am new to cooking but just made your lo mein – it was so easy and good! I really appreciate your recipes because I am still learning to cook – but these are all so easy to follow and yummy. Thanks so much!

  678. Hello,
So happy to find your DIY dog food receipt.  I too have a Pembrooke Corgi we call Butters, (nickname).  He has been losing weight and I took him off all synthetic dog food.   Going to buy your cook books.  Hope to find more dog food receives.

  679. You are now in CA? Wow! I have always thought you were located in NYC. Since you have said you have such a small kitchen, then I am to assume you now reside in the Bay area. Is this blog your sole job? If not, what do you do? Thank you for providing us with so many delicious menu items to help round out our busy lives. Kee up the good work.

  680. Hi dear! What brand of slow cooker do you use?? Sorry if you have answered this before

  681. I love your cookbook! I’m doing like the movie “Julia and Julia” and going through page by page making the recipes – everything’s so good, I look forward to each new dish. I’m really trying to cook more simply and healthfully for the family, so thanks for all the great recipes. 🙂

  682. Hi Chungah,

Oh my gosh, how can I get you (and your trusty steed) to come to sunny Florida (New Smyrna Beach) and cook for me and my Dobie for a week?! Your recipes look amazing and although I doubt I’ll do as good as job as you, I will definitely give it a go. Great job!

  683. So glad I found this site! Cooking out of a tiny tiny college dorm kitchen on a budget this summer and have absolutely LOVED trying out your easy and delicious recipes!

  684. Your recipes are easy to make, use everyday ingredients, and help promote the vanishing art of good ‘home cooking’. The recipes here can be made quickly, and taste great!
    Glad I found your site!

  685. Just came across your website and I printed 15 recipes to try, I love making new things! Hope they come out as awesome as yours do!

  686. Hello! I was just wondering what kind of camera you use for your food shots? They are beautiful!

    • Awwwww, thanks! I am currently shooting with a Canon EOS 6D 20.2MP and a 100mm f/2.8L IS. I only use natural lighting, and I utilize Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 to edit.

  687. CHUNGAH, I am a food and cooking researcher and your Lemon Butter Chicken is a great dish. I found your book on Amazon and I was impressed by the reviews.
Your Chicken Lettuce Wraps are the hit on YouTube along with your Korean Beef.

It is obvious that your success is the simple style & the humble kitchen much like Rachel Khoo in Paris.
Stay true to your roots & perhaps talk to us a little more on youTube.
Best Wishes from Hervey Bay Australia & Chanthaburi Thailand,
    Ed

  688. Love your recipes!  Simple but delicious!  Would LOVE healthy recipes cooking for two people.  Its just me and my teenage daughter and although I have tried many of your recipes (love the chicken, especially) I find that I’m making way too much food just for us.

  689. Dear Chungah,
I love your recipes and have tried lots of them! I am cooking for myself since my husband passed away 2 years ago. I was lost for awhile and didn’t feel like eating most of the time or just grabbed junk food. My husband was the cook for the two of us, and I hadn’t had to fend for myself in 32 years! But your recipes are so simple to prepare and delicious I really enjoy following your blog and trying your recipes. Last week I prepared the Zucchini Sheet pan with panko and marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese to accompany a pork roll stuffed with apricots, cranraisins, and pecans I purchased at Sprouts, it all was super good. Thank You and keep up the good work! You are inspirational!

  690. Is that lobster in your intro? Rock out….I wondered about all that bacon grease so I will precook a bit…..first time to blog – so happy to know about you – congratulations and best wishes to you and butters

  691. I love your recipes Chungah. My wife and I used to entertain a lot and she was a phenomenal cook. Since she passed away 3 years ago I live by myself in Toronto close to my 2 children and their families in Toronto, Canada. I still love cooking and cook for my children. I made “Cheater Pho” which was a big hit. It was even better than the real Pho!!! Thanks.

  692. Hi Chungah, you’re recipes look amazing! Are they low cal, low carb or 21 Day Fix approved?

  693. Chungah, I have had to change my diet recently due to health issues. I always enjoy your recipes and they are truly simple! I cook them time and time again. Thanks again for allowing us into your kitchen!

  694. I just saw that you have your own cookbook out. How exciting for you as well as me since I just purchased it and cannot wait until it arrives. You make fabulous dishes that are, well….DAMN DELICIOUS!

  695. Thank you!! Thank you!! Thank you !!
You are just what I’ve been looking for so excited to have found your blog…. love the meal prep ideas xoxo

  696. Hello Chungah,

Came across your blog purely by chance and feel compelled to say, “Although you have SOOOOOOO many amazing recipes…YOU, by far, are the MOST “Damn Delicious” thing here!!!! Such a BEAUTIFUL and YUMMY Woman…Stunning facial features, an intoxicating smile and a gorgeous little body 🙂

  697. I found this site by accident when I wanted to compare a recipe I had for Potstickers. I was amazed at the recipes you had. I have a busy schedule but our family prefer home-cooked meals. It was a headache planning ahead , so the days became predictable and boring. NOT ANYMORE. I surprise the family with your quick and easy dishes and they are a hit every time.SO DELICIOUS, but I give you the credit . Thanks Chungah keep up the good work

  698. This blog is such an inspiration to other food bloggers like me. Your pix are phenomenal and so are your dishes! I like your wide variety of food selection and how it encourages people to cook.

  699. I’ve been reading your recipes and loving the results for years! The simplicity is so great and always results in some Damn Delicious food! Keep on doing what you’re doing, you’re rocking it! Oh, and your dogs are Damn Adorable!

  700. Where can I find that recipe for that chicken, 4th picture down. Also lol at “Butters”, that’s my favorite South Park character.

  701. Who are you? Well who ever you are I love your site and your food look SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Damn Delicious keep up the good work I will now bookmark YOU

  702. Hi!

I’m amazed how you cook the steak and roast vegetable together in the oven. I never thought about that way. It is a brilliant idea.

  703. You are wicked amazing. My lap-cat is soaked with my drool . And the best part? SO many easy recipes. My daughter in law just had a baby and although I help a lot with meals she really just wants to throw something together quickly. I hooked her up with your site. Keep em coming!
    Oh! And THANKS!!!!

  704. I don’t think the nutritional values listed for your bang bang shrimp pasta recipe are correct.  Specifically the carbohydrate value of 373.3 grams per serving?

Recipe looks amazing though, can’t wait to try it.

  705. Home sick for the day and what do I do, I browse for recipes while in bed. Stumbled upon your site over an hour ago and haven’t left. Looking forward to the weekend in the kitchen.

I’ve lived in rural Haiti for 20 years and only in the last 5 years, when we got a solar powered freezer) did I get into cooking. I found that a well stocked pantry is essential here as the nearest decent grocery store is over 3 hours away. Thank you for these wonderful looking recipes. Just told my wife I have no idea how I will pick one to begin with. Great photos as well.

  706. Love your recipes! I have had many, many Pinterest fails (my poor husband, lol!) but I have made multiple dishes from your blog and we love them! The instructions are easy to follow, the ingredients are simple, and they turn out amazing. Thank you! 🙂

  707. Beautiful lady and a top-rated gourmet artist. Love your blog, Chungah! 🙂

  708. I love your blog. And since you are a corgi mom (as am I), you must be a wonderful person. 🙂

  709. Your  recipes are amazing.  I’m looking for the lobster tail recipe,  that you have in your photo. Looks delicious.  Where  can I find it. I have no idea how to cook lobster. Thanks.

  710. Just came across your website. I can’t wait to try your recipes. I am always looking for something quick, healthy and simple to make. Thank you.

  711. Thank you for sharing these great recipes! I feel like a gourmet cook now, and I love that most recipes rarely call for ingredients I don’t already have on hand. I hope you continue to post more recipes.

  712. I absolutely loooove your recipes. Yours is the only website I now go to for recipes. Thank you. Keep cooking!!!!!!

  713. Hello Chungah! I’m in SoCal and made the Chicken Tortellini Soup tonight. It was delicious and very healthy. We just got back from Hawaii and need to eat healthy for a while to offset all the treats we had there and your soup recipe definitely hit the spot! Love your blog!!

  714. I love that I can trust that every recipe I use from this site will turn out delicious! When scrolling through recipes on the internet and I see one from Damn Delicious I know I will have most of the ingredients and it will taste fantastic! Thank you! I will be purchasing your cookbook. You are awesome!

  715. I just wanted to say thank you. I love your recipes, they are simple and easy to follow. I have made so many of your recipes and I have loved every single one. Keep them coming.

  716. I love your photography! Do you mind sharing what kind of camera / lens you use for your images?

    • Thank you! I am currently shooting with a Canon EOS 6D 20.2MP and a 100mm f/2.8L IS. I only use natural lighting, and I utilize Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5 to edit.

  717. Congratulations on the cook book Chungah!! You are an inspiration to people like me, who dream of becoming a food blogger one day soon! I have tried many of your recipes and I can’t wait to buy your cook book! Your PF Chang’s Lettuce Wrap Recipe is a hands down favorite in our household. Thank you for all of your great recipes!

  718. Keep up the great work you are doing: there can’t be too many great healthy recipes.
Love the dog, we have three of them.

  719. I love your blog! I love that the ingredients are ones I use over and over, instead of ones I use once that end up collecting dust on the shelf. There’s sooo much flavor in everything I’ve tried. If only my husband was not so picky, I would get to try a lot more. 🙂
    Keep them coming!!

  720. Korean Beef Bowl. High fives from our family. Including our five year old son. We all LOVED it. It also gave us to a chance to talk to him about Korean culture and food.

Thanks for sharing your recipes. We’ll definitely make this one again (so so easy and so so delicious) and will look for others to try.

  721. Wonderful recipes–will be adding them to my collection, & will get your cookbook too,
to give my grandaughter (in college) for Xmas. She loves Asian (inspired) food & cooking.
I saw you on the USC Trojan website, as I’m an ‘ancient’ Trojan (1953). ‘Cook ON’—!!
    Grama-DD

  722. I came upon your recipe for Apple Sangria. Looks tasty, but do you use and alcohol apple cider or apple juice?
    Thanks

  723. Looking at cauliflower pizza crust recipes I clicked on your site. Your recipe is so much simpler than others I have tried. Then I watch the video re the baked chicken and it made it SO simple to follow. Now, my question is I am Paleo. I recognize that your site is not dedicated to that aspect of food and cooking. Without having to read thru endless recipes, how much of your cooking would you say is either Paleo friendly or adaptable?

    • Unfortunately, it is really difficult to say as my recipes are not specifically tailored for the Paleo diet. As always, please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications.

  724. That comment sounds terrible.  I didn’t mean it to sound like it reads.  You’re beautiful, and not just from the side!  I should have elaborated. I’m a professional photographer and I see so much more beauty in people than they see in themselves. I’m one to talk…you’ll never see a photo of me. But, just wanted to let you know that you shouldn’t holdback or have any inhibitions.  Again, so sorry for the way that first comment sounded.

    • LOL, I’m a photographer also and I wanted to say the same thing. There needs to be a photo or two looking at the camera so a personal connection is made.

  725. Great site….but why are you always looking to the side in your photos?

  726. hey beautiful

  727. Stumbled across your website while looking for some easy lunch ideas. I immediately fell in love with so many of your recipes. It also doesn’t hurt when a picture of Butter is thrown in there! I love corgi’s so much! He is too cute! Thanks for so many awesome recipes!

  728. This “newer” website of yours is SO MUCH BETTER!!! Everything loads faster w/ no problems; THANK YOU!!

  729. Hi Chungah,
I started following your blog when my husband and I lived in Ecuador for three months a few years ago. I have enjoyed many of your ideas. The roasted veggies look great, think I’ll make them with my supper meal tonight. We live in northern Alberta, Canada. It’s only mid October and there is a snow storm going on here as I write this.

  730. Have you ever made the Lemon Butter Chicken with any other kinds of chicken besides thighs?

    Thanks

  731. I have tried your Parmesan Chicken with red potatos twice and it has been a huge success, sooo easy!  And delicious.  Thanks for that recipe it will come with me when ai travel to see my family in Australia and Malaysia!

  732. Hi. I have many of your recipes and they are delicious! BTW, we have the same backsplash, black counters and white
cabinets..mine with a splash of red! This looks delicious. I going to try it soon. Looking forward to more.

  733. I am so glad I stumbled upon your page through Pinterest! What an awesome website! I love everything I have seen so far. I even made one of your dishes for dinner tonight and it was Damn Delicious, even my picky 18 month old toddler enjoyed it!!! I have recently become more interested in cooking after having our son, I’ve always been a baker at heart, and I’m so excited about your recipes and the creativity they inspire!
Promptly ordered your cookbook, and I will be paitently (or impatiently!) awaiting its arrival! Can’t wait to wake up and try a breakfast recipe! Thanks so much! Look forward to exploring more!

  734. I am a dude and I don’t really cook much but Chungah your recipes made me an instant culinary hero! Wife is expecting so I hope to make her some homemade meals so she can eat well. At first I was trying (my best) to replicate her dishes.. Now I’m making my own (Errrr.. With your help of course)

Thanks Chungah! Keep up the good and inspiring work! Love it!

  735. I received my cookbook but the cover is on backwards. Has this happened to anyone else.

  736. Received my cookbook yesterday and can’t wait and made the “Garlic-Parmesan Roasted Broccoli” tonight. It was perfect! Can’t wait to try more this weekend…THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

  737. Well , I saw the corgi and I was sold. Cookbook ordered less than 2 minutes later. We share the same loves–corgis and food. My corgi is named Tater. We will send pictures your way when the cookbook arrives!!

  738. YAY, the cookbook arrived! I can’t wait to go through it.

  739. Chungah, I found your website with a google search for lettuce wraps and then when I saw the PF Chang’s lettuce wrap recipe and the comments I was sold so I made it and it was so delicious. So delicious in fact, that I decided to order your “Damn Delicious” book from Amazon Prime.
    Great website!!!

  740. Chungah,
You are Damn Amazing. Your recipes are easy and so damn delicious. I am from the South and love to make it simply and easy when preparing dinner or for a party. I can not wait for your cookbook. I will be buying six copies to give five away for Christmas gifts to my family. I wish you the best and I also love your Corgi, Butters.

  741. My husband is a bread maker but can’t make soup, so long ago I asked him to please make anything for dinner, but not soup. My good friend and neighbor can only cook by recipe, so she emailed him yours for the slow cooker Tomato, Kale and Quinoa that she had found and was making this weekend. As soon as I looked I it I recognized it as yours so I said he could make it last night (Tuesday). You see, I was working until late and my daughter and SIL were arriving after a 10 hour trip bringing down their chickens, a large old lame dog and their anxious cat to stay for 2 weeks and keep setting up our cabin as their new home (next come the 1# – 2# fish they harvest they catch for food and that’ll be a historic adventure I bet). The soup turned out PERFECT! As Tony says, Digna’s not keen on Quinoa, so he substituted a handful of Barley instead. It was still PERFECT! First soup he’s ever made that is just delicious. So thanks. And now another follower of your recipes I bet. When his crayfish are grown and ready to harvest he’ll be looking up some new recipes and see if you have any ideas for him to use. His only recipes are Cajun New Orleans style. Me? I won’t be letting you know how they turn out because I’ll have to leave home for the day/night since I’m very allergic (anaphylactic) to any crustacian. So, Chungah, thanks for the great soup!

  744. Thanks for sharing all of your amazing recipes! You’re my “go to” site for everyday cooking! Wish there was a Damn Delicious app!!

  745. THANK YOU Chungah!!!  I first came to your website when I Googled “ginger salmon recipe” and it led me to your Sesame Ginger Salmon recipe.  That recipe is fabulous!  I made it again last weekend (on the grill) for 20 people and they all raved about it.  Here is what I want to share with you and your readers: salmon holds together well enough that it can be grilled directly on the grate.  Cedar planks are not necessary.  Plus you get some charring of the surface which is nice.  I use a digital meat thermometer and cook to a center temp of 130 to 135°F.  Cut the salmon fillets into sections barely wider than your spatula so the meat is well supported when turning it.  The salmon is ready to turn when the edges start to turn white.  Salmon can be safely turned once or twice; more than that and it may fall apart.  The thermometer I recommend is ThermoWorks’ model RT301WA, which is available on the the ThermoWorks website for about $20.
