Sriracha Guacamole

Greetings from Carmel-by-the-Sea! I’m currently in Monterey County for the Dole & EatingWell “Taste of Spain” Salad Summit with a wonderful group of bloggers, soaking up the sun in the lettuce fields and enjoying squid ink aioli, saffron cream mussels, and a huge pot of paella. It’s pretty amazing, to say the least.
Asparagus Tart with Balsamic Reduction

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend. My weekend consisted of 670 miles of driving to and from San Francisco in a span of two days, a late night showing of Iron Man 3 on Saturday night, and a friend’s law school graduation in which I was an hour late to, causing me to rush and trip up the stairs in the auditorium in front of an entire crowd. All in all, other than the mortifying fall to my face in front of hundreds and hundreds of people, it was an awesome weekend.
Carne Asada Fries

When Jason and I make trips to San Diego, we never leave until we have a plate of carne asada fries. But sometimes we just don’t have the time to make it out there and fulfill our cravings. So when the kind folks over at CravOn sent me a sample of their fries to review, I knew I just had to recreate these fries.
