Sesame Chicken
Before I get into this sesame chicken goodness, can we first talk about last night’s episode of Grey’s? I’ve been following this show for years and although the show has plummeted in the more recent years, I’ve never missed an episode (yeah, I’m that much of a loyal Grey’s fan). But last night’s episode was quite amazing. I don’t think I’ve cried like that since the finale of season 6 when the shooter came in and killed off like half the cast. I mean the minute Avery flipped over that legal pad with the new name of the hospital - wow - tears just started streaming down my face. I think I started blubbering at some point.
I’m still a bit shaken up about it so if today’s post doesn’t make too much sense, it’s because tv world has totally taken over reality.

Pork and Asparagus with Hoisin Sauce

Okay guys, let’s be real here - it’s seriously impossible to shoot everything in natural lighting, right? Ever since I got my DSLR, everything has actually been shot in natural lighting but with a full-time 9-5 job, that just means that I have to stay cooped up in the house during the weekends and cook and blog all day. And as you could imagine, that gets pretty damn exhausting. Not only that, when go out with friends or go up to SF to see Jason during the weekends, I get into somewhat of a panic because losing out on a weekend means I just gave up doing at least 6 posts.
Sweet and Sour Stir-Fried Chicken with Pineapple and Red Onion

Making chinese food at home is one of my absolute favorite things to do, mainly because it’s so much cheaper, tastes so much better and you also don’t have any skimped ingredients! It’s also quick and easy, making it a perfect weeknight meal.
Now you should know that Jason hates all kinds of Chinese food because it’s too greasy but when I put this on the table, he devoured it so quickly and he didn’t even leave a single rice grain on his plate!
Yeah, it’s just that good. Fresh pineapples, a perfect balance of sweetness, sourness and plenty of flavor. Plus, you have the Sriracha for extra spiciness!
Slow Cooker Honey Sesame Chicken

Guys, I have a huge confession to make. Here goes. I have fallen in love with my slow-cooker. I just can’t hide my love for it anymore. I love it so much that I’ve even named him Bert. Bert has become so important in my cooking life, especially since I just started a full-time job.
