Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

¼cupfreshly grated Parmesan cheese
Zest of 1 lemon
Instructions
In a large pot of boiling salted water, blanch green beans until bright green in color, about 2 minutes. Drain well and cool in a bowl of ice water. Drain well and set aside.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium high heat. Add garlic to the skillet, and cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant, about 1 minute. Stir in green beans until tender-crisp and browned, about 3-4 minutes; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Stir in lemon juice.
Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan and lemon zest, if desired.
