Ingredients:

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese

  3. Serve immediately, garnished with Parmesan and lemon zest, if desired.

  1. My family and I prefer green beans that are fork tender rather than crunchy. They are sweeter and much more flavorful than beans that have only been blanched. Otherwise this recipe sounds good.

  2. This French Green Bean recipe is absolutely delicious. Made it yesterday for our Thanksgiving Dinner yesterday (Canadian). Will definitely make this again. Thank you for the recipe.

  4. Love your recipes. I almost exclusively follow yours when looking for new ones. Question on this — Do we have to blanch the green beans?
