Semi-Homemade Mini Cinnamon Roll Bites
I’m not really one to make semi-homemade foods but I just couldn’t resist when I came across this recipe. I absolutely love bite-sized foods and these were just too cute to give up. They were so simple to make (I didn’t even have to whip out the mixer) and I made enough bites to feed at least 10 people! They can be made for any time of the day but I personally like to eat them at 3 in the morning with a nice cold glass of milk.
Semi-Homemade Mini Cinnamon Roll Bites (adapted from Picky Palate):
Yields 40 mini cinnamon roll bites
- 1 can refrigerated biscuits, 8 count
- 4 tablespoons softened butter
- 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 3 tablespoons heavy cream
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat; set aside.
Unroll biscuits onto a clean countertop and press out with fingers to about 3 inches wide. Spread each biscuit with 1/2 tablespoon of butter, then top evenly with brown sugar and cinnamon.
Starting at the bottom of each round, roll up jelly roll fashion with seam side down on countertop.
Use a sharp knife and cut 1/2-inch slices and place onto prepared baking sheet. (I cut 5 slices per biscuit making 40 small cinnamon rolls.)
Place into oven and bake for 16 to 20 minutes, until light brown and cooked through.
Place powdered sugar and heavy cream into a small bowl and whisk until smooth. Drizzle glaze over hot rolls. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
