Easy Garlic Butter Breadsticks
The easiest garlicky-parmesan breadsticks made in less than 20 min – no yeast, no rolling, nothing. It’s just that easy!
Bread is an important part of every meal. It serves not only as an appetizer but also as a side, not to mention that overly-good comforting carb goodness that just takes you over.
Or wait. Is that just me?
It’s even better when you can make them in just 20 minutes, slathered in buttery, garlic goodness and sprinkled with freshly grated Parmesan. Heck, you can just skip over the main dish and munch on these breadsticks all night long. Just don’t forget that extra Parmesan. You’ll thank me later for it.
Easy Garlic Butter Breadsticks
Ingredients
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried thyme
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley flakes
- 1 11-ounce tube refrigerated breadsticks
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly oil a baking sheet or coat with nonstick spray.
- In a small bowl, whisk together butter, garlic, oregano, thyme and parsley; set aside.
- Separate breadsticks into 12 strips and twist each strip. Place onto the prepared baking sheet and brush each strip with half of the butter mixture.
- Place into oven and bake until golden brown, about 10-12 minutes.
- Serve immediately, brushed with remaining butter mixture and sprinkled with Parmesan.

I made these last night to go with hamburger soup and they were fantastic! My hubby is a bit of a garlic bread snob and he could not get over how great they were. I couldn’t believe, not only how great they tasted, but how easy they were to make. Yet another amazing recipe! Thank you!!
I can never find the refrigerated breadsticks at my store, so I use crescent rolls and follow the rest of the recipe as is. My family LOVES them! Last time I was at the store, I bought 2 cans of crescent rolls. One for this recipe & one to try with butter, cinnamon & sugar following your same concept. After that, I plan on trying with your homemade crescent roll recipe. Thanks for the inspiration! 🙂 LOVE YOUR SITE…always delicious AND easy!
That sounds delicious Debbie, happy baking!
I’ve made these many times and I love them !!! Please keep recipes coming I try to us yous all the time
I thought this was going to be some magic trick for making bread quickly – and I guess it kind of is. Sounds yummy…
Is breadstick dough the same as pizza dough? Or is it the kind of dough I use for bread rolls?
I live in Germany and can’t buy refrigerated breadsticks here 🙁
It would be best to use the kind of dough used for bread rolls.
I saw these on food gawker today and made them tonight. So so good and ridiculously easy. I think I’ll try the previous poster’s crescent roll approach next time- sounds amazing!
*jaw drops* THESE BREADSTICKS !!!!
We loved the breadsticks. I had a tube of crescent rolls, guess what’s coming next. Yup everything in recipe spread on crescent rolls, rolled and brushed with butter. Went great with baked chicken tenders and parma zucchini sticks. Thanks!
YUM!! Love the shortcut recipe here. Garlic + bread + cheese = what’s not to love?!
It’s 10 PM and I desperately want to eat all of these breadsticks. Whelp. Looks like I’ll just have to admire the pictures until I can get to the store tomorrow to grab the ingredients. 🙂
