Green Smoothie with Peanut Butter and Banana
This simple smoothie is loaded with fresh spinach leaves, banana, peanut butter and Greek yogurt. It’s healthy and nutritious!
I’m kind of obsessed with bananas. I could have them in cake form with a Nutella swirl, deep fried or even in a savory breakfast french toast. But I think I found my all-time favorite use for bananas in a green smoothie.
Now before I even came close to trying a green smoothie, the thought of it made me nauseous and sick to my stomach. I mean, spinach leaves in a drink? Gross. But that all changed when I tried it myself. And to my surprise, it’s pretty freakishly awesome. After all, when you consider the boatload of spinach leaves that go in, it’s amazing as to how it doesn’t really taste all that spinachy!
So with a combination of bananas, a bit of peanut butter and some greek yogurt, you’ll be able to have your cake and eat it too!
And since we’re having a banana party here with this newfound amazing green smoothie, I have to share Dole’s exciting Peel the Love Food Truck Tour that’s happening across the nation. They’ll be in Maryland until August 18th and from there, they’ll be moving to their last and final stops in New York so if you’re in the area, I highly recommend stopping by!
And to continue this banana fun, here are some of my favorite banana recipes:

I usually don’t write reviews but this is honestly my favorite smoothie ever! Every single time I have it it’s as if I’m having it for the first time. Also soooo easy & quick to make as I usually always have all of the ingredients on hand. Thank you so much for this recipe. <3
Can you use something other than greek yogurt? I haven’t tried this yet, but I am going to try it.
What a great idea! But unfortunately, without having tried this myself, I cannot answer with certainty. But if you get a chance to try it, please let me know how it turns out! 🙂
I make this smoothie all the time and it is delicious! Frozen bagged spinach works well, too. I don’t always have fresh and the frozen spinach makes the smoothie thicker and colder. I also use frozen bananas for the same reason. I’m a fellow banana nut! Thanks for sharing your wonderful recipes!
Thank you!
Do you think this could be frozen as smoothie packs?
Yes, of course!
DELICIOUS!! I used Plain Greek Yogurt with no vanilla and still fabulous!!!!
Just made this smoothie. It was delicious! It’s definitely a keeper. How many calories please? Thank you. ~~Adel~~

was pretty good, skipped the honey and used a different yogurt instead of Greek.
I used oat milk instead of regular one. For me it was ~474kcal for the whole serving (used https://nutriely.com/recipe-builder) to calculate.
Thanks!
Yummo! I’m pregnant with twins and have a food aversion to spinach, this is helping me get my much needed greens! Thank you!
