ABOUT CHUNGAH
I am the founder, creator, food photographer and recipe developer of Damn Delicious®, a website established in 2011. What started as a grad school hobby using a simple Tumblr account has transformed into my full-time job and business, connecting with millions of readers all over the world with recipes that are regularly featured in major media such as People, TODAY, and Bon Appetit, among many others.
Moving away from sunny Los Angeles, I now reside in the Midwest with my family and corgi crew, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Why use Damn Delicious® recipes
- Trusted recipes. With thousands of recipes to choose from, I work with a team of women to test and re-test each and every single recipe to ensure that it comes out successfully in your kitchen (along with hundreds of five star reviews from fellow readers), whether you’re a seasoned chef or a first time cook in your college apartment.
- Focusing on quick and easy. Here at Damn Delicious®, we focus on quick, easy, and effortless dinners for the everyday home cook to show you that it doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal, especially during those busy weeknights between school pick-up and soccer practice.
- Easy to find ingredients. The recipes you find here require minimal prep and feature easy-to-find ingredients, making them no-fuss, affordable, and speedy. We’re talking minimal clean up, versatile pantry staples, one pan dinners, and budget-friendly meals with bold flavors for the entire family or weekend company.
- Tips, tricks, tutorials, and videos. Each recipe will feature helpful tips, tricks, smart shortcuts, and step-by-step videos setting you up for complete success in your kitchen every single time.

i am so grateful i bumped into your site very informative and user friendly home cooked food recipe. i am very much passionate with cooking and trying to up my game. I just cant wait to do shopping on the most usable products that i found in your amazing recipes. i am very pleased to become one of your fan.
Your recipes were made for my family! My Kindle is my recipe box and many of your recipes are in that box. Your range is so broad and you use ingredients that people have or can easily get or substitute. You don’t try to impress with weird, hard to attain or afford ingredients. Several times I’ve been missing one small ingredient but your recipes are so delicious and user-friendly that it still works. You also are creative and make attractive and elegant dishes.
Whether it’s carbonara, carnitas or a barley dish, you really have it! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.
Your carbonara recipe is better than my Tyler Florence recipe.
Happy first anniversary. Cute couples — y’all and the pups. Loving your garlic monkey bread recipe. Thanks!
I just printed your recipe with brown rice, turkey, etc. my question to you is, can I PORTION control and freeze. I appreciate your time and look forward to your response. Thank you,
Dearest Chungah,
Thank you so very much for all the wonderful research, work, and curating you do! The world is full of doctors, lawyers and dentists, but beautiful recipes that make families come together are truly needed in this world!
Congratulations on your wedding ♥️
Sincerely,
Cynthia
Do you and your husband have a “meet-cute” story? You have a really adorable family! My husband and I met twelve years ago on E-Harmony and we have two dogs and two cats. Actually the dogs and cats have us, really.
Thank you for sharing your recipe for homemade dog food. Chloé, our 14 year old Chihuahua rescue, has lost most of her teeth and needs soft food now. All the store brand stuff are just tasty fillers without much nutritional value. Thanks for the help.
You’re adorable and I love your recipes! Happy first anniversary! You make a beautiful pair. And I just wanna squeeze those puppers!
your cooking newsletter is my absolute favorite!!
i love the simpleness, the easiness and the deliciousness
of all the recipes you offer !
thank you

I love your story – what a beautiful couple you are. And your sweet corgi pups are adorable. My husband and I (almost 25 years together) are huge South Park fans so I love that your dogs are named Butters and Cartman. Thank you for your wonderful website – I have just begun to explore it. All the best to you and your family.
Good stuff
Lovely little family you have there! But where did you get your culinary skills? I have loved everything I have made from your site – thank you so very much for putting them on Pinterest!
Adorable doggies!!
Congratulations!!! Thanks for sharing your wedding pics. So cute!!
On the Big Island and just sent your lime chicken receipt to our daughter who is taking care of our home in Santa Fe, NM. Your smile, dogs and husband make a wonderful team due to love the photos. I have many of your ideas in a folder which is gaining in size.
Marshall Sale (Santa Fe) but now in Hawaii…getting hungry again for your chicken ideas plus those street tacos a week or so again.
Hahahaha
First of all, I’ve made a handful of your recipes over the years and have always been pleased! On my regular rotation when I’m looking for stuff to make for the weed.
Secondly, I love love love the doggie names!!!! My 18 year old cat is named Gobbles…a little bit more of an obscure South Park reference, but I hope you get it…
My girlfriend and I want to try your Thai red curry noodle soup recipe but our cooking skills are limited! Do you recommend this one for near-beginners on Thai cooking? Is it very spicy? Is plain old fresh basil an OK substitute for Thai basil? Love the corgies-in-tuxes pics, BTW
Just.do.it. Don’t worry about the specific ingredients too much. This recipe is worth it!!! It can not be botched. Perfect for beginner cooks.
I love your story. Our first pet after we got married was also a Pembroke Welsh Corgi (Tucker). A beautiful, spunky and smart boy. You are blessed.
You looked so happy on your Wedding Day !!
