Cheesy Garlic Bombs
Mini garlic bread bites slathered in buttery goodness and stuffed with melted mozzarella cheesiness. So good and irresistible!
Garlic bread with mozzarella stuffed right in.
Seriously.
It’s pretty epic.
And when you use refrigerated biscuits, this pretty much comes together in just 6 minutes, 22 seconds.
It’s just that easy.
Not to mention that these are baked in a mini muffin pan, helping it keep its shape and it’s cute mini size, which makes them even more irresistible.
Just be sure to eat them when they’re hotttttt. That’s when they’re best.
And then keep a hidden stash as your midnight snack. You can just nuke it for 10 seconds to get that cheesiness going again.
Cheesy Garlic Bombs
Ingredients
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried basil
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 16-ounce tube refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- 48 fresh mozzarella pearls, drained*
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly oil a 24-cup mini muffin tin or coat with nonstick spray.
- In a small bowl, whisk together butter, garlic, oregano, basil and salt; set aside.
- Halve each of the 8 biscuits, making 16 pieces. Working one at a time, use a rolling pin to flatten each piece to about 1/4-inch thickness. Add 3 mozzarella pearls to the center of each biscuit piece before rolling into a ball.
- Place into the prepared muffin tin and brush each ball with half of the butter mixture; sprinkle with Parmesan. Place into oven and bake until golden brown, about 8-10 minutes.
- Serve immediately, brushed with remaining butter mixture and garnished with parsley, if desired.

Easy and amazingly delicious! Thanks for the recipe.
OMG!!! Everyone MUST try this. This is just delicious and when not dieting , I eat these. You must use mozzarella pearl balls they taste the best and small muffin tin. My family is addicted. Thank you for the great recipe
Cheesy garlic bombs are damn delicious . Feeling like eating. Thank you for the recipe.
These are so good!! A huge hit. We cut pieces of string cheese for the cheesy middle which worked great. We ended up flipping the balls upside down for the last few minutes in the oven.
Highly recommend!
Thanks for the tip!
Hi! I love your recipes…however, I am a FACS teacher and can never use your videos or recipes at school because of the name your decided on 🙁
What’s wrong with damn delicious ? It’s bloody delicious and that’s an issue? What part of the name is bad, I don’t get it. Kids see their parents fucking and curse when they hurt their self. Since when is damn a curse? It’s an expression to describe and enhance the main word delicious. Retarded school full of panzies.
I made these tonight- I don’t have a mini muffin tin so just put them on a cookie sheet.
Haven’t eaten them yet but they look all wet in the middle?- the mozzarella was well drained so I don’t know what happened
Guess we’ll see what they taste like- fingers crossed
Made these tonight. So very good. You’ve done it again!
Can they be frozen? Or made in advance and refrigerated? If so please give heating instructions. Thank you!
Unfortunately, I cannot answer this with certainty as I have never tried freezing this myself – there were no leftovers left to freeze! Please use your best judgment for freezing and reheating.
Chungah, these look so delish! But I’m not doing the math. How does 16 pieces turn into 24 bombs?
You’re completely right – this recipe only yields 16 but 24 was made just for the video. 🙂
Chungah I made these and with the “Grands” biscuit, I was able to cut each piece into thirds and ended up making 24! And they were a hit! Thank you!
Yay! Amazing.
Can these be assembled, refrigatored, and cook later in day?
Yes!
Wow! Fantastic idea! Since my daughter is home for Spring Break, I just made these as a late night snack for her & one of her girl friends. I made half the recipe & just measured by sight as opposed to the actual recipe. Easy & great as a future appetizer! If you like Italian Seasoning & have that on hand, it could take the place of the dried herbs. I also used the individually packed mozzarella sticks and cut them into pieces. Apparently any biscuit will do because I didn’t use Grands. Lol
Rene’ Glad you posted this, because I can’t find the mozzarella balls around here. Can they be frozen and re-heated like cheese sticks?

These look delicious!! I was just in search of recipes like this that could be used in a donut hole pan, this might just work. I think I will leave the parm sprinkles off until I take them out of the oven. Then just roll them in it. Can’t wait to try them.
We do not have the buttermilk biscuits in SA. What substitute can be used.
Janine, here is a great forum discussing possible substitutes – hope that helps!
I’m making these for a work Christmas party and I’m putting them in my crock pot to warm up. Hopefully they will still be the Boom. im using a block of mozzarella cut into small cubes. I don’t have any Parmesan but I’m sure they will still be great.
Made de bombs for thanksgiving not a crumb left.thinking of serving next time with some sauce
Finally got around to trying these this weekend. They were beyond delicious! Thanks for another great recipe. I LOVE your blog!
hey!
I love this idea but unfortunately where i stay, we do not get these biscuits. is there anything else i could make which would substitute the biscuits? preferably eggless.
thanks
dhvani
Unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot advise an appropriate substitute that will not alter the overall taste/texture of the dish. Using a substitution may also result in a mediocre outcome but if substitutions must be made, please use your best judgment.
I don’t have a mini muffin pan. How do I adjust the recipe for a regular 12 muffin pan?
In the picture I only see 2 mozzarella balls per bread but the recipe calls for 3 balls per bread. Which one is correct then? Thank you
You can use 2 or 3 – it’s up to you!
I made these last night, soooo good!! Wouldn’t change a thing about them, it was flavorful and very simple! I have loved every recipes I have tried on here!
Can I regular muffin pan be used or does it have to be mini?
Yes, a regular muffin pan can be used.
These bombs are DA BOMB! haha, I crack myself up sometimes! Pinning!
