Whipped Strawberry Butter
The easiest 3-ingredient strawberry butter made in 5 min – so good, you’ll want to eat it with a spoon!
Whenever I go to those fancy breakfast places, they always have those special butters – maple butter, strawberry butter, raspberry butter – you name it. But little did I know that these butters are actually one of the easiest things to make! Plus, with this strawberry butter here, all you need is 5 minutes of your time and 3 ingredients. How easy is that?
Now I should warn you – since this is one of the easiest things you could make, you will probably make this all the time. As a result, you will be slathering this on anything and everything you could get your hands on. And if you’re anything like me, you’ll have no shame in eating this with a spoon!
Whipped Strawberry Butter
Ingredients
- 1 cup strawberries
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons confectioner’s sugar
Instructions
- In a large bowl, crush strawberries using the back of a spoon or a potato masher; set aside.
- In the bowl of an electric mixer fitted with paddle attachment, beat butter on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes. With mixer on low speed, add crushed strawberries and confectioners’ sugar, beating just until incorporated.
- Serve immediately.*

Can you make this with huckleberry?
I don’t see why not!
Can this be made with frozen strawberrys? Maybe a little arrowroot or cornstarch to thicken if the frozen produce “soupy” strawberrys?
Unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot answer with certainty. As always, please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications.
I followed the recipe exactly and mine came out soupy
Soupy? Did you use fresh strawberries?
Do you think this butter would freeze well?
Unfortunately, I cannot answer this with certainty as I have never tried freezing this myself – there were no leftovers left to freeze! Please use your best judgment.
I must have mashed the strawberries too much~~~a bit runny.
do you think i could use a bowl and an electric mixer on med speed? I’m ashamed to say i haven’t yet invested in a kitchenaid mixer!!
Yes, that should work just fine.
That looks yummy! I wonder if this would be good filling for macarons? Or is it too wet?
I would say that the butter is bit “wet” from the juice of the strawberries.

Love this idea!! I never thought to put fruit in butter and then whip it together! Goodness, I bet this would be totally awesome on an English muffin with a drizzle of honey!!
I can’t wait to try this on my toast for breakfast!
Could you use this same method with peaches?!
It really depends on how much juice the peach has. With berries, there’s a lot of excess juice to give off, but if the peach is dry, it won’t really make the best butter.
As I said on Pintrest, I can’t wait. Especially since Strawberries are my favorite. Growing up my birthday cake every year was Strawberry Shortcake. I have a large strawberry patch each year. Thx.
So gorgeous, this reminds me of the butter they serve at Neiman Marcus with popovers – love!
There’s a restaurant in town that makes a different kind of “fancy” butter every single day, but I have yet to see strawberry butter! This would be perfect on toast for breakfast or on pound cake for dessert…can’t wait to try it!
Mmm! So good! I would love this on my pancakes, or cornbread or on spoon. ; )
This looks amazing! Love the color and all that strawberry goodness. 🙂
I bet this would be fantastic done w cream cheese, too! I may have to experiment with fresh bagels & both the strawberry butter and a cream cheese version this weekend! Thank you for the excuse to eat carbs 🙂
Have you tried making it with salted butter? I sometimes like the taste that the salt adds (even to sweet dishes). But, if it ruins it, I don’t want to waste my time. This would be awesome to use when frying up french toast (assuming the strawberries don’t burn too quickly). Or I’d probably just eat it with a spoon and call it a day.
I recommend using unsalted butter but if you prefer the sweet and salty combo, then salted butter would be best suited for your taste preferences. Either way, spoon-eating is still a must! 🙂
This looks amazing!
WOW!!!
