Mini Deep Dish Pizzas
These 5-ingredient mini pizzas are unbelievably easy, fool-proof, and completely addicting! Perfect for game day!
Remember when I started hoarding those mini pepperonis? Well, I found yet another great use for them in these awesome mini deep dish pizzas, which comes just in time for football season. And yes, if you ask me what my favorite season is, it’s definitely football season.
Football season is the best season of all because you have every guilt-free excuse to stuff your face with game day food, and these pizzas are no exception.
And with that crisp, deep dish tortilla crust, these babies are simply irresistible.
Now I still have about 4 mini pepperoni bags left so I’m sure I’ll be making these pizzas for every single football game!
Mini Deep Dish Pizzas
Ingredients
- 4 Old El Paso™ flour tortillas for burritos, 8 inch
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 36 mini pepperonis
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly oil a 12-cup muffin tin or coat with nonstick spray.
- Working one at a time, lay tortilla on a flat surface. Using an empty can, cut 3-4 medium circles, pressing firmly enough in a rocking motion to cut through the tortilla.
- Fit a tortilla circle into each of 12 muffin tins, pressing carefully to make sure there is an opening in the center. Scoop 1 tablespoon pizza sauce into each muffin tin. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, topping with 3 mini pepperonis each.
- Place into oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese has melted.
- Serve immediately.

Can I make this ahead and reheat as needed? Thanks these look perfect for our party tomorrow!!
You can certainly try making this ahead of time and reheating but these are really best when served immediately.
Made these today. They are great and so easy!! Everyone, including my 3 year old, my hubby, and my teenage nieces, loved them … and this is no small feat with such diverse palettes!! Can’t wait to play with the toppings next time.
These are the best! I highly recommend!
Thanks for sharing this! Will they stay crunchy if I packed them off in the kids’ lunchboxes?
Unfortunately, these pizzas will lose their crispness over time. These are really best when served immediately.
I made these for lunches for work. After being refrigerated they become floppy again. If you allow moisture to occur than they can get soggy as well. Still taste great though.
The recipe sounds tasty & fun but I thought deep dish meant a pizza with a thick crust? I’m going to try a version with veggies.
Sara, deep dish can also mean a “deep crust”, which is exactly what this is! 🙂
I made this today with my 4 year old daughter. It was so easy she did most of the work and it was delicious. We added a sprinkle of parsley for a little color. Thanks for another flavorful and easy meal.
These look so good! I’m going to try them with my low carb pita’s and see if it will come out the same.
My toddler and I have the day off (Columbus Day/Canadian Thanksgiving) so we’re having these for lunch. I love that they’re so quick to whip up, no planning needed since I had everything on hand. But I used all of my mini pepperoni after using a few of your other recipes!! The horror! I found mine at Super Wal-Mart but I’m going to ask my local grocers to stock them as I think they’re awesome. Another great recipe, I think I’m like 7-0 in trying meals from your site.
These were a hit! Delicious and simple!
Perfect timing! This is the absolute best new idea! My grandkids are gonna love building their own pizzas next week. Thanks for….the absolute best new idea! :o)
Hi, what did you garnish these with at the end?
I garnished these with freshly chopped parsley leaves. Cilantro would work well too!
These would make a wonderful school snack for the kiddos.
oh YUM! These look fabulous! I know the boys would chow them down on footy nights!
I am OBSESSED with this! I cant wait to make these on Monday for the NY Giants game.
OMGeeeeee those pepperonis are so freakning cute!!!!
These are definitely a cute little savoury snack idea.. definitely craving a bite of one right now. I just have to recreate the recipe, thanks for sharing it!
can you put them together and then freeze?
Unfortunately I cannot answer this with certainty as I have never tried doing this myself. I recommend using your best judgement for freezing and reheating.
I was thinking of trying the same thing as a quick dinner for my son who always is asking for pizza! Did you have any luck with it if you tried it?
I can’t even cope with how adorable and easy these are! I’ve been putting off making homemade pizza from scratch because working with yeast intimidates me big time, but these I could definitely do! Pinned 😀
OK Chung, What store do they sell mini pepperoni? I’ve gone to almost every grocery store looking for them. They are not as cute when you cut up the pepperoni.
Lisa, I was able to find it at my local grocery store. I recommend calling ahead to make sure your grocery store has it in stock.
What a creative idea for a recipe! So delicious!
