Slow Cooker Cocktail Sausages
The easiest, most effortless cocktail sausages you will ever make right in the crockpot. Just be sure to double the batch because these will disappear fast!
Jason and I tend to be home-bodies. We like staying home whenever possible, eating leftovers or ordering delivery, and spending time with Butters.
But just because we’re hermits doesn’t mean that we can’t make party cocktail sausages for ourselves.
And then eat those 10 servings of party cocktail sausages for an entire week.
We had these as a midnight snack, we had them for dinner, and we also had them for breakfast with a fried egg on top.
As you can see, these not only work as a party appetizer but they can work as any meal throughout the day.
And even after having these for an entire week, I made it again the week after that. It’s unbelievably easy to whip up and they’re packed with so much flavor – we just couldn’t get enough!

Is it 16oz for one hot dog? Thanks!
16 ounces is for one package of hot dogs.
Love it! Now my question is whether I could add okra to this and turn into into the southern stewed okra dish?
That sounds great but unfortunately, I do not have much experience cooking southern stewed okra dish so I may not be the best person to ask. Sorry!
I don’t have a crockpot but I really want to make these? How can I? Please help!
Diya, please understand that it is very difficult to give exact conversion information to translate a slow cooker recipe to be used on the stovetop without further recipe testing. I recommend using your best judgement to recreate this without a slow cooker.
Do they have to be the beef hotdogs? Or would regular ones work?
Please feel free to use any kind of hot dogs you prefer.
I found this @ Pinterest and I am going to make this for my company potluck tomorrow at noon. TY so much for sharing, I can’t wait to try this!
try it with kielbasa.
Hello! These look delicious. Just wondering what size your crockpot is? Mine is between 5-6 quarts so I’m just wondering how it would affect ingredient ratios, whether the hot dogs might dry out and burn. Thanks!
Mine is 3 qt but a 6 qt slow cooker should be fine!
where did you get the cute little bamboo looking toothpicks?
I purchased them from Amazon.
What is Sriricha
Sriracha is an Asian style hot sauce, found in the Asian aisle of your local grocery store.
Can’t wait to make these at our next get together! p.s. Butters is killing me with his cuteness. GAAAAH!
It is amazing what you have done to these hot dogs! These hot dogs got transformed completely, no one can ignore them any more. Must try!

These are perfect for football snacking! My husband and I like to host parties, and I love anything that can be made in advance so it’s ready to go when company comes over. These look fantastic, I will have to give them a try! 🙂
Another nice recipe. Thank you.
Please tell me what the little bits of green are in the final picture. I’m assuming an herb, but would like to make sure because it adds to the visual appeal. Thanks
Esther, these are garnished with fresh parsley, but cilantro would work as well!
Quartered lengthwise would give you long strips. Maybe cut into chunks would be a better description.
Thanks for pointing that out, Laurel! The recipe has been updated.
Not to be rude – but did nobody look at the pictures?
Yay for being home bodies! the hubs and I’s “Date night” usually means we go to IHOP for pancakes (judge me) and then come home and binge watch The Food Network all day.Except now pancakes may have to be these adorable little sausages! Love! Pinned!
These look delicious, question…. should these be quartered “lengthwise” or crosswise? They look crosswise in the pictures. Great for a kids party, they like to graze and will always go for hotdogs! Thanks for the great ideas!
Laurie – my apologies – these should be quartered crosswise, not lengthwise.
