Garlic Parmesan Roasted Shrimp
The easiest roasted shrimp cocktail ever made with just 5 min prep. Yes, it’s just that easy!
If you’re ever in need of a quick and easy appetizer, look no further because this can be made in 5 min. Yes. 5 min.
Although if your shrimp isn’t already peeled, it may take a little longer – say 12 minutes – but still. Once they are peeled and ready to go, you are set! All you need is olive oil, garlic, freshly grated Parmesan and some pantry spices. That’s it.
Once they’ve been roasted to that glorious orange perfection, go ahead and add that squeeze of lemon juice. Easy peasy, right?

Wow, these are fabulous and easy! I have celiac disease and have to avoid the traditional battered/breaded shrimp. These are better than any breaded shrimp I ever ate in my pre-celiac life! I’ve been trying to incorporate more fish and seafood into my diet and this is a real winner. I plan to try the same type of preparation with tilapia or cod. 5 stars.
Can this be prepared in advanced and reheated later? For example, in a meal prep situation?
Lauren, this is really best when served immediately as reheating can cause the shrimp to overcook, resulting in a tough/chewy texture.
Do you think if I undercooked them originally they would turn out okay when reheated?
It’s really hard to say – I’m personally not a fan of reheating shrimp, but as always, please use your best judgment.
These are indeed damn delicious! Thanks for sharing, Chungah, will definitely try them!
Can I do this on a gas grill? If so, how long cook?
Thanks
Yes, absolutely. You can probably cook these on the grill for 2-3 minutes per side, but as always, please use your best judgment.
I made this today. It was absolutely wonderful! Delicious! I made 2 lbs of it as a main dish to go with a tomato, cucumber, onion, carrot & lettuce salad. So good! I will DEFINITELY be making this again.
This was Very yummy! A must try with a creamy parm rice and crusted Rosemary olive bread. Bonus- minutes to make.
This looks delicious! My kiddos will love it.
This is perfect, I just bought some shrimp for harbor this morning. Thanks for the sharing it
I always have more than enough food, I would be horrified if I ran out of something at a party!!! This recipe looks delicious and very easy. Thanks for sharing.
I really appreciate the way you write about your approach to entertaining. There is love in every thoughtful detail. And, by the way, I too suffer from over-buying food when it comes to hosting a party! Looking forward to trying this recipe! Thanks!
This looks super yummy and not very difficult! Thank you for the recipe! I look forward to trying this out with my boyfriend! We love shrimp!
Can I use a substitute for the olive oil? I don’t
have that in my cabinet.
It is best to use olive oil to obtain the best results possible. Using a substitution may result in a mediocre outcome, but if substitutions must be made, please use your best judgment.
I just made this after coming home from a tiring day at work. I had to start the rice cooker first because by the time the rice was done the rest of this fabulous dinner was ready to go. Easy, healthy, fabulous-tasting, and quicker than driving for carryout. Chungah hits it out of the park once again!
Tried this one tonight and it really was as easy as you said. Paired perfectly with a simple risotto and I was glad to have something easy to go with that time intensive dish. Thanks for another great recipe!
This recipe is amazing!! I cook mine on 400 for 8 minutes and they’re perfect. Great with a side or on top of pasta! Super easy and fast after a long day at work!
Just made this…great recipe! Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for another great recipe. I made them tonight and had them with a side salad. They were so easy and super delicious.
this is a great tasting recipe. Pair it with the Parmesan fries. Delicious!!
Hello! Thanks for all your delicious recipes! I serve this as an entree and the whole family loves it! Other recipes of yours also serve as household staples. In the comments you say to sprinkle the cheese after but in the recipe you dictate to do it during prep, just wanted to let you know about the discrepancy. Thanks!
parmesan before or after cooking?
As indicated in the recipe, the Parmesan is sprinkled prior to cooking:
Place shrimp in a single layer onto the prepared baking sheet. Add olive oil, garlic, oregano, basil and Parmesan; season with salt and pepper, to taste. Gently toss to combine.
The description before the recipe says to sprinkle the Parmesan on after the shrimp are roasted. That was confusing for me also.
