One Pot Taco Spaghetti
All your favorite flavors of tacos in spaghetti form – made in ONE PAN! So cheesy, comforting and stinking easy with no clean-up!
Tacos in pasta form? Um, yes, please. I mean, the answer is always yes, right?
And if not, the answer should always be yes when it’s made in one single pan.
No joke here – everything gets dumped right in, including the uncooked spaghetti. And no, the tomatoes should not be drained. The liquid is crucial to help cook the pasta.
When ready to serve, sprinkle on that cheese to let it get all ooey gooey on top.
It’s practically a spaghetti casserole with pretty much zero work and clean-up!
One Pot Taco Spaghetti
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef*
- 1 1.25-ounce package taco seasoning
- 1 10-ounce can Ro*Tel® Mild Diced Tomatoes & Green Chilies
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 8 ounces spaghetti
- ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 Roma tomato, diced
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large stockpot or Dutch oven over medium high heat. Add ground beef and cook until beef has browned, about 3-5 minutes, making sure to crumble the beef as it cooks; stir in taco seasoning. Drain excess fat.
- Stir in Ro*Tel®, tomato paste, spaghetti and 3 cups water. Bring to a boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer until pasta is cooked through, about 13-16 minutes.
- Remove from heat and top with cheeses. Cover until melted, about 2 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with tomato and cilantro, if desired.

This turned out really good. I didn’t have RoTel, so I chopped up some tomatoes and added some tomato juice. I will definitely make again.
I just made this for the first time, following the directions, and when the spaghetti had cooked 15 minutes, the water had barely absorbed. I removed at least a half cup of water and it was still “soupy”. Can you tell me what I did wrong? I can’t wait to taste it.
Wonderful receipt. I skipped the tomato sauce. Not opening a can for such a little bit . Topped with the tomatoes and also green onions and just a little sour cream. Like this better than regular spaghetti. Thanks so much for sharing
I’ll quote my husband, “THAT WAS REALLY GOOD”!!!
do you drain the grease from the burger?
Absolutely delicious. I cooked the spaghetti separately,, due to size of my pan. I also added a can of black beans & Mexican corn & 2 jalapeños. Definitely will make again. Thank you.
Loved it….with my own twist. I prepared angel hair pasta separate. 2-2 1/2 pounds of ground beef with two packs of taco seasoning. A can of petite diced tomatoes drained. Sautéed onions with garlic and an array of my favorite seasonings. Oh and some mild salsa with a cup of water. Topped it with cheese and sour cream.
One of my favorite recipes. Easy, fast and so satisfying. Make it twice a month. I never change the ingredients because it’s pretty perfect.
Fast. Easy. Delicious!
OMG!!! This is so easy and DELICIOUS!! Will definitely be a favorite in my house!!
Love this recipe. Don’t change a thing. Camping now and making this one pot for dinner. So easy and so good!
I was looking for something yummy and different for our household. Of course I went Damndelicious.net. As usual, I found the perfect recipe. Never did the one pot (cooking noodles in the sauce). Will use often now. Recipe is YUMMY, easy, reliable, reproducible if you follow the recipe.
This was great. We really like tacos and spaghetti, what a great idea to blend the two. It’s like the ultimate comfort food. Will definitely make this again. As a side note, I make my own taco seasoning rather than using prepackaged. The flavor turned out nice.
This was so easy to put together. My husband and I both loved it. I will be making again and again. Delicious!
Made this the other night for dinner — TOTAL HIT! I doubled it up because I have a teenager and husband with big appetites and it did not disappoint. Every DD recipe I’ve tried has been easy to prepare and delicious.
Can this dish be refrigerated until ready to serve.? Want to make this dish for a super bowl party.?
This would be great with a dozen or more Hot Dogs also mixed in
I freaking love this dish! Super basic and tasteful. I make mine with turkey ground meat, but looking forward to trying out chicken ground meat soon. Thanks!
Incredibly easy to make, and EVERYONE loved it. I also chopped up some green onions and some sweet peppers to sprinkle on top after it was served to make it more like fixing your own tacos.
This has become one of my favorite go to meals on busy nights! Everyone loves it!!!
Doubled the recipe and made it for a party of 8. It filled a 9 X 13 pan perfectly!! I cooked it exactly as the recipe states. Will use many times to come. THANKS!!
