Fruit Infused Water
Skip the soda and stay healthy and hydrated with this refreshing fruit combination! It literally takes 5 minutes to put together.
So I have to admit – I’m one of those people who never drink water.
Like ever.
Just coffee.
I mean, I’ll have 4 cups of coffee a day. And then maybe 4 ounces of water. It’s bad you guys.
So I started to jazz up my water with leftover fruit, which has helped me consume about, say, 8 ounces of water now?
Hey, it doubled my water intake, right?
It obviously works. And it takes just 5 minutes.
So there you go.
Fruit Infused Water

I love your site, comments. You sound just like me, I’m not fond of water either!! My husband is type 2 diabetic. So I looking for a new way to cook meals for the both of us. I’m a southern gal, you know, fried chicken, Tators, rice, bread, Yada yada….he cant eat this way anymore…..in the meantime, I’m starving for soul food!!!! Help!!!!
That is a lot of money spent on actual fruit. The fruit ends up watered down. I know someone that is doing this and I see a lot of good fruit being thrown away afterwards. Fruit has fiber and other benefits. I would rather be eating the strawberries and blueberries.
Am looking for drinks to replace soda I know its bad but am also doing a detox. I will def make this drink more often and I will post it online. This is a great drink to replace sugar drinks with.
Easy and Refreshing, What a great idea!!!! It will help to drink water all the day and keep our body hydrated. I would like to ask a question..
Can I add some mint on this fruit infused water? Because I love the taste of mint…
Yes, of course!
I also love cucumber and strawberry together in water, with or without basil 🙂
I love flavored water, but this one is better! I am currently making my first infused water and I really hope I’d be satisfied with its taste. Thanks for this recipe!
I am always buying a whole pineapple and cut it up and put in water in the fridge. I find I can fill up my container a couple time with the pineapple.
We all know that drinking enough water is good for us. However, it can get a little boring. This fruit infused water is flavorful and will make it easier to drink our daily intake!
Water sometimes gives me a stomach ache, so I like Topo-Chico mineral water. Drink a little off the top and add a spoonful of concentrated fruit juice. It helps you drink more water.
Can someone tell me if you just throw the fruit out when you finish the water?
Yes, that’s exactly right.
I just eat it at the end – I find that having fruit in my water makes me drink more water because I chug it trying to get the fruit. Goals are important 😉
This real does make a huge difference when trying to drink more water. I find I naturally seek out my cup or bottle more due to the infused flavor. Regular water is just so…boring. Thanks for the reminder.
I had some really amazing “infused” water at the farmer’s market, and they said it was just like a couple gallons of water, two each sliced oranges and lemons and some rosemary. It was served very cool but not cold and no ice and was so refreshing I still think about it years later. I could drink quarts of it daily its so good. I’m not sure of how it is made – (steeped? ) You’re a smart recipe guru – please figure this one out. It is super!
I’m so with you, I actually posted about the same topic yesterday! I never drink enough water. Even now, I’m at school and I didn’t bring any but I just bought a cappuccino. It’s bad! Bad bad. I’ll remember your fruit infused waters, is it okay if I add a link to your post at the end of mine? For more inspiration!
Yes, absolutely!
A friend of. Mine does not refrigerate her fruit infused waters. Instead she lets several gallon jugs of it (.different fruit and mint combinations) ferment in the garage, strains the fruit out and drinks the water but the fruit remains in the jug. You can use it over and over again. She let me try a jug and I threw out the fruit after it fermented and she was upset I did that because you can continue to reuse it.
Ginga – I would have done just as you did and thrown away the fruit when the water was finished infusing. The longer it sits in the jug, especially unrefrigerated, the more fermented it becomes and starts producing alcohol. Not such a good aftertaste if you ask me. I’ve found that berries/melon will last about three or four days and citrus about seven (in the fridge).
Easy and lovely refreshment! What a brilliant idea!
This is for sure the best way to stay hydrated. Plain water is boring!
