Everyone’s favorite wrap made right in the slow cooker! The chicken is so tender, juicy and melt-in-your-mouth amazing!
The Christmas tree is done. Well, kind of. I still have a few ornaments coming but the end of the day your tree is NEVER done.
But while I figure out how much more I can add, let’s talk about this wrap. The classic All-American caesar wrap.
Except you can make it right in your crockpot. Just set it, forget it, and boom. You’ll have wraps for days – for lunches, snacks, dinners, picnics, potlucks. You name it.
But remember, we always need extra extra croutons.
Slow Cooker Chicken Caesar Wraps
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 cups Caesar dressing, divided
- ½ cup chicken broth
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ teaspoon onion powder
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan, divided
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
- 8 8-inch flour tortillas , warmed
- 4 cups shredded romaine lettuce
- ½ cup croutons, homemade or store-bought
Instructions
- Place chicken into a 6-qt slow cooker. Stir in 1 1/2 cups Caesar dressing, chicken broth, garlic powder and onion powder; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 4 hours. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and shred, using two forks, before returning to the pot; drain excess liquid.
- Stir in remaining 1/2 cup Caesar dressing, 1/4 cup Parmesan and parsley. Cover and cook on high heat for 15-30 minutes, or until hot.
- Leaving a 1-inch border all around, layer each tortilla with chicken mixture, romaine lettuce, croutons and remaining Parmesan. Fold in sides by about 1 inch, then roll up tightly from the bottom.
- Serve immediately.

The recipe calls for four boneless chicken breasts, which coke in various weights. Can you equate this to how many pounds of chicken to use?
Cannot wait to try this! Have you ever eaten it cold the next day? Did not know if it’s better hot or cold. Thanks!
How many hours on low?
4 hours.
Hi. I am a bit confused on the draining of the liquid part. Can you please clarify? Take all the liquid we just cooked it in and drain it ? Thanks!
Yes, that is correct.
Hi Chungah,
I skipped the slow cooker and used the instant pot! They came out delicious!
Awesome to hear, Chris! Thanks for sharing.
Hi Chungah, I was wondering if I use six pieces of chicken breast if I’d be able to cook on low for 8 hours? Please and thank you
Unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot answer with certainty. As always, please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications.
These look delicious! Your site has so many great recipes that I can use for make ahead work lunches. I work 12hr shifts and I am always in need of some food and or snacks to make it through the long days.
If I only want to make a half batch, should I also cut the slow cooker time in half?
Thanks 🙂
Cooking time will have to be reduced accordingly but without further recipe testing, I cannot advise on specific cooking times at this time. Please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications.
Thank you for the quick response! I’ll just keep an eye on it…
Hi Chungah, I have a quick question. I know this is probably going to sound a little dumb but just to be sure is it ok to remove the fat from the chicken and then place it in the crockpot? Please and thank you
Yes, of course! Not a dumb question at all!
Looks great! Has anyone tried cooking the chicken on high?
Would these keep overnight? I’m looking for a green themed dish for a St Patrick’s pot luck.
Unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot answer with certainty. Methods for optimal food storage and shelf life should be based on good judgment and what you are personally comfortable with.
This is a silly question, but when you say “drain excess liquid ” in Step 2. Do you mean drain liquid resulting from the shredding of the chicken (before you put it back in the slow cooker) or drain the liquid used in the slow cooker to cook the chicken?
Both!
I made this last night and it was awesome. Everyone in my house is wanting lighter meals for dinner so I have been combing the net for ideas when I saw this. I almost didn’t click on it because I thought…oh boring a chicken wrap but it is so savory and so EASY. Cooking the chicken in the slow cooker with the Cesar dressing is genius. I even found the spinach burrito tortillas at my grocery store….and who doesn’t like Cesar salad? My husband ate 2! I made it just like the recipe. Maybe I don’t have any creativity because I never would have thought to prepare the chicken in this fun, easy and very tasty way. Thanks! It’s going into rotation 😉 I’m going to buy your cookbook.
This was a great, easy meal! I used Newman’s Own dressing but next time will probably try the homemade dressing recommended in the comments.
Great! I make these at least once a month as a quick, delicious and light meal.
Do you have a favorite Caesar Dressing? Or a recipe perhaps? I have tried a few dressings and haven’t found one that I really like.
This is one of my favorite homemade recipes!

Looks good but the sodium content is kind of scary.
I make chicken caesar wraps but never thought to make them in the slow cooker- brilliant! Trying this! 🙂
These were incredibly tasty!! We loved every last bite. Please tell me how you got them to wrap so beautifully. Mine did not look like the picture…and both my husband and I tried to achieve the perfectness you displayed in your picture of this delicious meal !!! 🙂 Please give us some pointers if you have a chance!
It’s best to wrap them as tightly as possible! 🙂
I have some rather large chicken breasts. Can you tell me approximately how much chicken you used?
I used about 2 pounds.
