Chocolate and Cheese Board
Dark chocolate, cheeses, crackers, cherries + fresh berries. The most epic dessert cheese board for any date or get-together!
I have made a lot of cheese boards in my day, one for almost every season (spring, summer, winter) and of course, a special one for the holidays, but this one is hands down my favorite.
You have all your favorite cheeses, crackers, fresh fruit and dark chocolate. It is truly the perfect combo of sweet and savory, and it makes for a super impressive dessert spread for any special date-night or get-together.
(Ben actually took this to his best friend’s house while watching the Super Bowl and they crushed all of it. Every single morsel of chocolate was gone. So it really works for all occasions.)
Now for the cheeses, I went with some classics. Brie, gorgonzola, white cheddar, Parmesan and goat cheese. All really good solid cheeses with different flavors and textures without going too crazy.
For chocolate, I highly recommend using good quality chocolates. A mixture of dark chocolate and milk chocolate is a great call, but you can also have so much fun with a sea salt, orange, or caramel variety if you’re feeling adventurous. Additional add-ons can include chocolate-covered crackers/biscuits/wafers.
Once you have your cheeses and chocolates, don’t forget to add in your extras. That means crackers, fruits, and/or nuts. I used cherries and fresh berries for that pop of red for Valentine’s Day but you can really add any fruit in season. Marcona almonds is also a favorite of mine but roasted salted nuts would also be a great accompaniment for that salty mix.
Basically, you just need your cheeses, your chocolates, your extras, your wine/rose and you are golden. Just remember, you cannot go wrong here.

the recipe is good.
May I know what’s the size of your cheese board? I’ve one but not sure if it’s big enough to fit everything in!
That everything is delicious, I love your recipes, I already wrote down and then make them, thank you very much.
Fabulous.
Excellent recipe. This board was absolutely delicious! My husband doesn’t usually like any kind of food, but he ate 2 servings! I was really pleased with the outcome!
Can hardly wait to make this. Makes sense to have this total combination.
I’m ready to make this for arriving guests! Can you please share brands of chocolate, biscuits, and crackers? I’ve tried so many and am looking for the best! Thanks!
Where can I find the board you used? Can’t wait to try this!

It was a hit at the party!
Thanks so much.
GENIUS!! I can’t wait to make one!
I have not made this yet but plan to soon! I have a potluck at work that I think this will be perfect for! Never thought of mixing cheese with chocolate – brilliant idea! I am wondering though how will the cheeses hold up if left out for a few hours.
I recommend following the USDA guidelines that you toss perishable foods, including soft cheese, that have been left out at room temperature for longer than two hours.
Can this be an appetizer vs dessert?
BOTH! 🙂
Just wondering where you got the round board from??

Dessert cheese board saved me. Thanks for the ideas! I was supposed to be offering to bring a dessert, (along with others) to a buffet dinner party for 20+ and completely forgot until the night before. I did one of my favorite cheeses – Wensleydale with cranberries – which I love but it’s a bit sweet for before dinner, so perfect, plus a Brie, crackers, and added berries, and Pepperidge Farm dark chocolate Brussels cookies (which have shrunk in recent years (!), but perfect size now for a cheese board), and chocolate squares.
