Cheesy Bacon Spinach Dip
The best and cheesiest, creamiest dip you will ever have – after all, you just can’t go wrong with bacon!
It’s New Year’s Eve tomorrow night and I will be doing nothing except stuffing my face with this dip. That and finally starting Scandal on Netflix. I’m ending this year with a bang, guys.
And when I say “bang”, I mean cheese, some more cheese, and bacon. With a side of creaminess, of course.
After all, once that calendar hits 1/1/2015, I’ll be starting those juice cleanses and “clean eating” nonsense so I might as well get in all this bacon when I can!
Cheesy Bacon Spinach Dip
Ingredients
- 6 slices bacon, diced
- 8 ounces cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 cup sour cream
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups baby spinach, chopped
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
- Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
Instructions
- Heat a large skillet over medium high heat. Add bacon and cook until brown and crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly oil a 9-inch baking dish or coat with nonstick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, Parmesan, mayonnaise and Worcestershire. Stir in bacon, spinach, 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese and 1/2 cup cheddar cheese; season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Spread bacon mixture into the prepared baking dish; sprinkle with remaining 1/2 cup cheeses.
- Place into oven and bake until bubbly and golden, about 20-25 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with bacon and parsley, if desired.

This is an easy and absolutely delicious recipe. I get asked to make it for all get togethers for family and friends.
I’m curious to know if you have ever tried adding a package (or a portion of a package) of Ranch Dressing Mix to this recipe and make it a Cheesy Bacon Ranch Spinach Dip?
If I’m going to eat something that will just be bad for my digestive system – but so lovely for my taste buds, THIS IS IT!
I’ll be making this recipe this Friday for a Christmas party….what would I buy to serve it with? …..toasted sour dough bread or hearty crackers? Any suggestions…
Anyone? Thank you!! 🙂
This is terrific recipe! Thank you for sharing it!! I’ve taken it to parties where I saw people freak out and have 5 helpings and ignore all the other food.
This dip is delicious. I made it for a Christmas party and have been asked to make it several times since. I’ve even had some left over that I used on top of chicken and baked, it was a simple dinner and a new chicken dish to add into the repetiore.
Made this dip and everyone loved it!
Omg this is sooooo good!! I have a question for anyone that will answer. I had to make this the night before a work Christmas party. What’s the best way to reheat this dish while at work?
Easy to make. Very crowd pleasing !
It was so good one of my favourite dips!!
Great recipe! My friends like bacon so increased bacon amount by 50% and it still works
I’ve made this dip for parties going on 2 years now and it’s always the first thing that is gone. Every party it never fails someone asks me for the recipe! It’s absolutely delicious and you can always put your own spin on it by adding some garlic powder to the sour cream or some herbs….. i always ‘doctor’ it up a bit, in different variations or go by the original recipe.. either way it’s always delicious and such a fan favorite. I serve with ritz crackers but also I’ve tried small baguette slices and that is good as well!
This looks delicious, I am making this on the weekend!
The best Really I JUST LOVE THIS RECIPE……….,
Awesome Ellen! Happy to hear it 🙂
Can you freez the cheese dip
Unfortunately, we cannot answer this with certainty as we have never tried freezing this ourselves. Please use your best judgment for freezing and reheating.
