ABOUT CHUNGAH

I am the founder, creator, food photographer and recipe developer of Damn Delicious®, a website established in 2011. What started as a grad school hobby using a simple Tumblr account has transformed into my full-time job and business, connecting with millions of readers all over the world with recipes that are regularly featured in major media such as People, TODAY, and Bon Appetit, among many others.

Moving away from sunny Los Angeles, I now reside in the Midwest with my family and corgi crew, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Why use Damn Delicious® recipes

  • Trusted recipes. With thousands of recipes to choose from, I work with a team of women to test and re-test each and every single recipe to ensure that it comes out successfully in your kitchen (along with hundreds of five star reviews from fellow readers), whether you’re a seasoned chef or a first time cook in your college apartment.
  • Focusing on quick and easy. Here at Damn Delicious®, we focus on quick, easy, and effortless dinners for the everyday home cook to show you that it doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal, especially during those busy weeknights between school pick-up and soccer practice.
  • Easy to find ingredients. The recipes you find here require minimal prep and feature easy-to-find ingredients, making them no-fuss, affordable, and speedy. We’re talking minimal clean up, versatile pantry staples, one pan dinners, and budget-friendly meals with bold flavors for the entire family or weekend company.
  • Tips, tricks, tutorials, and videos. Each recipe will feature helpful tips, tricks, smart shortcuts, and step-by-step videos setting you up for complete success in your kitchen every single time.

  2. Such a sweet and loving story…You adapted well to the curve ball “COVID” sent you and your wedding was probably even more precious because of the challenges you had to face together.  Wishing you both as long and happy marriage as I have had (59 years when my hubby passed on 2/2/22).  Sending you lots of well wishes and hugs for when you need them.   BLESSINGS!

  3. Damn Delicious can do no wrong!  Thank you to Chungah and her team…this is my go-to website whenever I am in the mood to try out something different to make for my family and friends.  I have especially enjoyed her InstaPot recipes…easy to follow and absolutely delicious…damn delicious!  Today I will be trying for the first time some of the dessert recipes.  Thank you again and again!!

“There has been a critical error on this website.”

    Thank you!

    • So sorry about that, Mariellen. We had a technical glitch but it has since been resolved. Thank you so much for your patience on this! ❤️

  7. sweet story!

  8. Do you think your No Knead Rosemary Bread would easily convert to a gluten free bread by using gluten free flour? My husband is celiac and looking for a bread he can eat.

    • Hi Sandra. Saw your post about gluten free flour. I have used Bob’s Redmill 1:1 gluten free flour in recipes (something different or when I don’t want to mill any flour) and have had no issues. Hard to tell the difference. Good luck.

  9. I really enjoy your website.  You have the most flavorful and easy to make recipes.  Thank you and keep it up.

  10. Can’t wait to start using my instant pot. I found your website looking for recipes for my instant pot that I haven’t learned to use yet. So if you can refer me some ideas I will be happy. Thank you and congrats on your wedding. Beautiful family.

I found your cook books as I was looking to meal prep to help me stay on track with some weight loss goals.  Who knew dieting could taste so good!  I love that not only are you recipes easy to follow, taste great but you have included all the nutritional information which is critical for me right now.  I am the envy of everyone when I go into the office. Thank You!

  13. Just discovered your page—and, so happy—right away subscribed, which I don’t usually do:) I’ll also tell others about it because your recipes are the Best! I like your suggestions for those who are vegan, etc… really cover everything/everyone’s eating choice/diet & I want to thank you for that! The Best To You & Your  Beautiful Family-God Bless!

  14. Thank you so much for your amazing recipes!
I have your cookbook and the Bang Bang chicken is my girls (and me) favourite! But truthfully everything I make from your collection has truly been delicious!
    Thank you from Eastern Ontario

  15. I don’t often subscribe to email recipes. Your dog cookie recipe caught my eye. We have several dogs in the family. So, I bought the cutters and I am ready to start production.

I have a true love for Asian people. I worked with several in Toronto when I lived in Southern Ontario. In fact, I loved (and miss) the real Dim Sum restaurants in TO which they used to take me to. I have lived in Sault Ste Marie Ontario for just over 30 years now. I am retired. So I am doing lots of cooking. My wife Collen is the baker. We have 2 “kids” in the city. Both have kids on the way … woot woot!!!!

I must say that you are truly gorgeous. I just know that Ben has to be a very special guy. He is also very lucky. I wish the two of you as many years, and more, than Colleen and I have had thus far. We celebrate 34 years in October.

  16. I’ve just discovered your blog and I’ve fell in love with the authenticity of the recipes that you are sharing.

  17. Just wanted to say how much I love your recipes…they are always down to earth, easy to make, and delicious. A big thank you all the way from Israel!

  19. So happy to have come across your great recipes. I’m cooking for three teens, two toddlers and 4 adults. What a challenge! We’re grilling your Easy Grilled Vegetables today. Because everyone’s taste varies, we’re adding some things and omitting others, but I know we’ll love it. Thank again and congratulations.
