About Damn Delicious®

Damn Delicious® was simply a hobby, but now it’s my full-time job.

Coming from a very traditional Korean household, I was destined to be one of three things: a lawyer, a dentist or a doctor. So as a grad school hobby, I created a Tumblr account in April 2011 to document some of my favorite recipes. I had one reader, making less than $0.30 per month.

But 14 years later, Damn Delicious® has grown into something that I never thought possible. I have connected with readers all over the world, conquered so many culinary feats in my kitchen, and collaborated with brands that I always dreamed to work with.

Damn Delicious has even grown into an amazing team of individuals working together to create the best possible recipes. We create recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and videos that focus on quick and easy meals for the everyday home cook to show you that it really doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal completely from scratch.

Damn Delicious® is a registered trademark of Chungah Rhee.

  1. I am so happy you did not become a lawyer, a doctor or a dentist. Although, I am quite sure you would have been amazing at those professions too!! Your website and recipes are stellar. Thank you for all the hard work that goes into this site. And, congratulations on a wonderful wedding. You looked amazing and your husband, while adorable, isn’t nearly as cute as those puppies!!

Thank you and here is to your extended happiness with your husband and corgis.

  11. First time seeing your recipes. I’m on Pinterest today looking for Thanksgiving ideas and found Sheet Pan Herb Roasted Turkey. I loved the recipe and going to make it soon. But I am also intrigued by you and your pups. I’m anxious to try some more of your recipes.   Congrats on your marriage and best wishes to the four of you. We love our pups.

  12. Hands down my favorite go-to website for all recipes. I found myself in a rut of the same meals on rotation. Your recipes are so detailed and easy to follow. When you include the approx. times for steps it really takes the guess work out of it. You have breathed new life into our meal times.
Thank you and keep up the wonderful job!
    Sincerely,
    Tasha

  16. Your Thai green curry chicken was amazing. I had my sister for dinner she loved it and went home with leftovers for her husband to try and also has gone home with the recipe

  17. Your website is delightful and I’ve been infected by your enthusiasm. I cooked for my family for many years but then went through a number of years as a single man. I married a Mexican lady in 2009 who is a marvelous cook; however, she doesn’t like American food. With the help of your recipes I’ve begun to find dishes she loves as much as I do. I’m careful not to tell her that it’s American food. (What IS American food, anyway? I make my own kimchi!)

Thank you for your help in finding recipes I can share with my wife.

  20. I’m so excited to discover your site. Tonight I’m going to make Ramen with my husband and 9 year old son. Having discovered Korean culture through Korean Drama Series, I’ve become crazy for the food. Love your pics and about me page. We have two sausage dogs so resonate with your corgi love.
