About Damn Delicious®

Damn Delicious® was simply a hobby, but now it’s my full-time job.

Coming from a very traditional Korean household, I was destined to be one of three things: a lawyer, a dentist or a doctor. So as a grad school hobby, I created a Tumblr account in April 2011 to document some of my favorite recipes. I had one reader, making less than $0.30 per month.

But 14 years later, Damn Delicious® has grown into something that I never thought possible. I have connected with readers all over the world, conquered so many culinary feats in my kitchen, and collaborated with brands that I always dreamed to work with.

Damn Delicious has even grown into an amazing team of individuals working together to create the best possible recipes. We create recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and videos that focus on quick and easy meals for the everyday home cook to show you that it really doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal completely from scratch.

Damn Delicious® is a registered trademark of Chungah Rhee.

  3. I am a 60+ yr old lady whose been home cooking my whole life. I followed you here from Firefox’s Pocket feature; the Street Taco recipe, to be exact. I’m always looking for fun things to try & the taco recipe sounds really great. I admire what young people are doing today like sharing their talents on Social Media like they do. I wish I was younger, not so shy & more savvy at that. I do love learning new ideas though. Congratulations on your lovely intimate wedding. I wish you and your husband, as well as your four-legged family, all the best.

  4. Love your story and have followed your recipes for years.  Thank you!

  5. I love this introduction to who you are. I am am recipe guru and read them like a book. I am always looking for something to serve my husband each night that is unique and within my budget.  I love to cook so much I look at each meal as a gastronomic  event with candles, wine and a lovely table set on our lanai in Sarasota Fl.. I think we think alike. Any way, I just wanted you to know I found you on safari looking for a mushroom recipe. And I just loved your story.

  6. I am so happy you did not become a lawyer, a doctor or a dentist. Although, I am quite sure you would have been amazing at those professions too!! Your website and recipes are stellar. Thank you for all the hard work that goes into this site. And, congratulations on a wonderful wedding. You looked amazing and your husband, while adorable, isn’t nearly as cute as those puppies!!

Thank you and here is to your extended happiness with your husband and corgis.
