About Damn Delicious®
Damn Delicious® was simply a hobby, but now it’s my full-time job.
Coming from a very traditional Korean household, I was destined to be one of three things: a lawyer, a dentist or a doctor. So as a grad school hobby, I created a Tumblr account in April 2011 to document some of my favorite recipes. I had one reader, making less than $0.30 per month.
But 14 years later, Damn Delicious® has grown into something that I never thought possible. I have connected with readers all over the world, conquered so many culinary feats in my kitchen, and collaborated with brands that I always dreamed to work with.
Damn Delicious has even grown into an amazing team of individuals working together to create the best possible recipes. We create recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and videos that focus on quick and easy meals for the everyday home cook to show you that it really doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal completely from scratch.
Damn Delicious® is a registered trademark of Chungah Rhee.
I love your recipes Ms. Rhee. Keep us informed, please!
Great stuff here. Love your recipes. You make my family very happy 🙂
Hi Chungah,
I am a first time “Damn Delicious” user having made, just last night, your garlic shrimp for the whole family. We wanted something we had not had before and of course we had fresh shrimp begging to be used. In one word, we “loved” your recipe. The steps were easy to follow, the ingredients were fresh and the final meal was delicious! Thank you for following your passion, we will definitely be back!
Can’t wait to get started.
Let us know how it goes!
Thank you so much for your spam fried rice recipe. It rocks! It’s exactly what I was looking for. You are amazing. I live in Maine! But my son lives in LA and my daughter lives in San Jose, and I have lots of family in San Diego! My daughter-in-law is Japanese, my niece and nephew and sister-in-law are Korean, and my son taught in China for eight years! My other sister-in-law is from Thailand. I have learned over the years a lot about Asian cooking. So much more to learn.
Happy cooking! I’m learning a lot about Asian cooking, yet I still can cook a good lobster and fish chowder!
I love it that you are in Los Angeles and that you followed your heart. When I was much younger I followed my heart but unfortunately I did not stay the course. So I would just like to suggest to you that you not allow something else distract you somewhere else. Instead follow your heart and take the course that makes you happiest.
I just retired from my 2nd career and am looking forward to being free and being able to do whatever I choose to do not what I have to do to pay the mortgage or the rent.
I just love your story.
I feel proud that you had the courage to do this and you are succeeding.
I am going to make your Italian Wedding Soup for my husband and I tomorrow.
I found your site because I asked for a tasty delicious soup.
Thanks for sharing, Kari!
Just found your page! Love every recipie. My dogo loves the homemade cookies she has been having recently too! Keep cooking 🙂
Was lookimg at a recipe in a blog and your blog was mentioned, love your website. Your corgi is so cute. They are fantastic dogs. I recently went back to work and I am trying to find more freeze and dump IP meals. In 30 minutes, I can have dinner ready and still get to the gym!
I want to start making my dog’s feed. He weighs 70 lbs, not fat. How much of say the easy crockpot dog food would he consume being fed twice a day?
Unfortunately, we cannot give advice on dietary needs. Please consult with your veterinarian for such information. Thanks!
Love your videos. Best recipes and not complicated. I do get your emails and look forward to them.
