I am the founder, creator, food photographer and recipe developer of Damn Delicious®, a website established in 2011. Moving away from sunny Los Angeles, I now reside in the Midwest with my family and corgi crew, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

  1. I was first introduced to you and your cooking when I started using Pinterest about 3 years ago.   I was planning my wedding and some friends suggested I look on Pinterest for ideas.  I got on and started looking at stuff and lo and behold, one tap on wedding dress silhouettes led to posts on the best time of year to pick your wedding date which led to venue locations and then pictures of tablecloths and runners which led to pictures of tablescapes which led to reception food ideas which led to pictures of food which led to a picture of one of your recipes.  I tapped on the picture (because I was drooling) and saw the name of your blog and thought “damn skippy this looks damn delicious!”  One look at he recipe and I. Was. Hooked.  Talk about good food and EASY recipes?!?  Since following you and using your recipes I have ONLY had to shop for ONE item that I wouldn’t normally have in my pantry…toasted sesame oil.   And oh how I now love toasted sesame oil!

You are an inspiration to home cooks who can cook something that will make a person slap their mama without the stress of culinary school (hours of standing which leads to chronic back pain and cut fingers) or having to spend $350/lb for black truffles that will only be garnish on a dish ‍♀️‍♀️.    Thank you for sharing your gift!  Your recipes are my FIRST line of defense for a healthy quick and easy home cooked meal that makes me feel like I’m am Claire Dunfee when I can pull it off after a long work day and my husband and nine year old son BOTH lick their plates and ask “Is that all you made?”

    • You are just the sweetest. Thank you so much for the beautiful, kind words, Tra!

  2. wow ,you are doing it .I really enjoy your recipes.

  3. This is the perfect website for our family — my husband is from Thailand and I’m a blue-eyed girl from Vermont. Our 3 kids enjoy everything from curry to Mac and cheese but my husband definitely prefers things a little more Asian-y.  I made your Honey Baked Sesame chicken last night and everyone LOVED it!!  It was easy and I had every ingredient on hand.
I am looking forward to checking here for all kinds of recipes so we stay out of the rut.  I will make the Funfetti cookies with my girls today.  So excited!

    • That’s awesome! Let us know how you like the cookies! 🙂 Sounds like fun!

  4. Hello! Came across your site quite by accident & loved the simplicity of your recipes. So excited to try many of the Instant Pot ones that am looking to buy a 3 quart pot -am a one person household. But I noticed that the recipes are for the 6 quart. Can the recipes be “adjusted” for the 3 quart? Or can I follow the recipes as they are & still use the 3 quart? Thank you!

    • When using a 3qt or “mini” Instant Pot, the general rule of thumb is to divide the recipe in half with the same cook time. But as always, please use your best judgment when making substitutions and modifications.

  5. Just discovered you on Pinterest and enjoy your approach on preparing and creating tasty meals that a guy like me (who rarely cooks) can create! Many thanks and keep up the good work, I’m on board –
    Ric

  6. Hi what conversions do you use for the uk.
I need to convert cups to grams

  7. I am looking forward to trying one of these delicious recipes today- I just found your website! I purchased an IP yesterday – it’s still in the box! I crave fresh ingredients & simple recipes! Love your dog! I have two pooches of my own!

    • Oh that’s great! We hope you enjoy all of our recipes 🙂 We have a whole new IP category as well. Have fun!

  8. You have a new convert!!! So far I’ve done 3 of your recipes and absolutely LOVE all three! I found this site by accident. I love to cook, but I am single now and just about all the recipes I used when I was married are hard to convert to single servings. This site is so easy and the recipes are really damn delicious. I can’t wait to try your roasted potatoes…

  9. Where did you get the cookie cutter used for the home made dog treats?  The one that stamped Butters’ name in the treat? Please share!

  10. But where did you LEARN so much about technique and balance?  Are great cooks BORN?  I can follow a recipe and I have tackled most ALL cuisines, but I fear that my taste buds are not sophisticated enough to EVER allow me to achieve your level of success.  But I certainly enjoy your choices and your narratives. Thank you!

  11. I tried your Sausage, Spinach and Bean Crock pot soup this weekend. We all loved it!! The taste was perfect. The only thing I did different was that I used kielbasa. It was so easy and so flavorful.

  12. Have made several of your recipes now over the last year and they are always well received. Last night the P.F. Chang copycat chicken lettuce wraps. Only thing I changed was I used boneless skinless thighs that I roughly ground in my Cuisinart. We have a 9 month Husky and recently found a stray that is a black Lab Corgi mix, possibly something else according to the vet because he has a tail that curls just like a Pug, lol. He is super sweet and about 1 year old. We named him Padfoot and he gets along so well with Yuki. Butters is super cute! Anyway just wanted to let you know that so far the consistency in your recipes amaze me. So many blogs out there have hit or miss recipes. Thanks!

  13. I just discovered your delightful website today while searching for a Baked Zuccine recipe. I made the fries, to freeze (uncooked), so I wouldn’t “lose” the bunch of zucchini our neighbor brought from her garden. I missed one step and combined the flour with Panko/Cheese mixture. Before I realized what I had done,  half  the yield was breaded…do you think they’ll bake-up okay? The other half was done right and I look forward to having them with my first effort at homemade Marinara Sauce! Anyways, good luck with your business, I’ll be visiting your site again!

    • Hi BarbaraJean! It’s so hard to say how they will turn out, but fingers crossed that they’ll be okay! 🙂

  14. I can’t believe how delicious your recipes are, and beautiful you are.

I post my blog on IG: stephanie_d_shorr and FB: Stephanie Shorr

    • Hi Stephanie, you could link back to our recipe, but you can’t republish the full recipe on your site if that makes sense?

  16. I’ve made many of your recipes and especially enjoy doing the ones on the grill. We enjoy outdoor cooking all year here in Kentucky and even grilling in the snow! There’s something special about food cooked over coals!

  17. Hi I was looking at your recipe and then I see your adorable and handsome Butters . Love your recipes and corgis.
We have one too Ripley the fluffy corgi.
Great seeing Butters on your page.

  18. You are my absolute favorite food blog. All your recipies have been delicious! If I need an idea for dinner or want to look for a recipe I always check your blog first. Thank you!!!

  19. I’m really digging the new site. I cook something from the amazing list at least once every other week, which I’ve been doing for the past year and a half. Thank You so much for this. When I can’t figure out what to eat, I just come here cause I know it’ll be “Damn Delicious!”
