5 Minute Avocado Toast
Simply the best breakfast of all time. Made in 5 min from start to finish, or really 2 min 30 sec. Toast, slice, drizzle. Boom.
I’m not going to lie.
This is probably the easiest Damn Delicious recipe you will find here. It’s so easy, I almost feel silly posting it.
But it’s avocado toast. And everyone loves avocado toast.
Plus, we can discuss all types of avocado toast variations we can do here.
But for now, this is my favorite.
A slice of whole wheat toast, avocado slices, a drizzle of olive oil, and a sprinkle of sesame seeds and red pepper flakes. That’s it.
Now I did poach an egg for this, except this happened.
It was a very sad moment on my end. But at least someone got to enjoy it while I was stuck all alone with my egg.

Life is short, eat the damn avocado toast! Eat ALL the avocado toasts!! etc…
What a great idea, Daisy! Thanks for sharing with us!
I just love avocado toast! But try making it on dark pumpernickel toast. Butter the toast thinly, sprinkle it lightly with garlic salt, add the mashed avocado, and sprinkle on the red pepper flakes. Pure Heaven!
I think I am going to also have to make a trip to Trader Joes to buy the Everything Bagels topping.
What a great idea, Daisy! Thanks for sharing with us!
Hi! Have you tried Trader Joe’s “Everything But the Bagel” seasoning in your avocado toast??! Nirvana. Kind of looks like the sesame seed/red pepper blend that you have on the toast pictured (except without the red pepper). You’ll get hooked!
From Pet Poison Helpline, Avocado not Poison!
Avocado contains a toxin called persin, but despite the rumors, avocado is not poisonous to dogs, nor likely to cats. Only certain species are poisoned by persin. While dogs and cats don’t seem to be affected by persin, avocado poisoning can be deadly to birds and large animals (such as cattle).

Is that nutrition info correct? Calories seem high for one slice of toast, butter , and half an avocado.
The avocado is a tree that is native to South Central Mexico, classified as a member of the flowering plant family Lauraceae. Avocado also refers to the tree’s fruit, which is botanically a large berry containing a single seed. Wikipedia

Looks delicious but don’t give avocados to dogs…can be deadly!!!
Avocado is not dangerous for dogs to eat. That’s a myth. My dog’s food contains avocado! Avoderm is a great dog food, by the way. Avocados are so healthy for us and our dogs too.
Avdoderm contains a very small amount of Avacado oil. In large amounts Avacado is NOT good for dogs or cats. Don’t be fooled.
I’m an avocado toasts lover! There’s nothing tastier and easier to make than this. Head over to my blog for some of my fave recipes 🙂 http://www.madamesociety.com
Seriously, I don’t start my day without my avocado toast.
Love Avocado toast! Also avocado is poisonous for dogs so maybe watch that cute sneaky one u have there…
If looks like barf squeezed into a packet, but it tastes like heaven.
Since you first posted this, I’ve been dying for avocado toast. Finally picked some up last night. I’m sitting here enjoying my delicious avocado toast. I topped with Epicure Sesame and Ginger seasoning. OH MY DELICIOUS!!!!! I have a new breakfast staple!
Avocado is one of the best thing that happened to Earth. #HappyEarthDay
I’ve been making this every morning since you posted the recipe and telling everyone about it! I even converted my avocado hater BFF to an addict with this recipe. Its simply amazing! The black sesame seeds and crushed pepper flakes puts it over the top! You might’ve felt silly posting such a simple recipe, but girl its changing my life!
Thanks so much for this healthy and delicious recipe. I enjoyed 4 toasts when it was posted 3 days ago and bought 4 avocados today but forgot to reload the bread !!
This is my favorite breakfast! Although, I admit, I add smoked gouda too often.
You have a very discerning and beautiful corgi!
My avocado toast also has sliced tomatoes and a sprinkle of sea salt. No egg for me.
Seriously, I don’t (can’t) start my day without my avocado toast.
Do you have a bread machine? Amazing what kind of healthy and wonderful things you can create for far less than the$4.00 + loaf you purchase at the grocery store or local bakery.
I actually don’t but it’s definitely on my Christmas wish list!
I make a variation of this, by putting soft butter on the bread, then toasting in toaster oven, then topping with sliced or grated cheese, then melting a bit, before layering avocado slices on top. I might add a fried egg before the cheese, or not.
Then I sprinkle with my favorite seasoning….Spike. It’s one of my favorite breakfasts, besides leftovers.
So, yours is a different dish. Thanks for leaving it in someone else’s recipe blog.
Nice timely response. What a useless comment!
Chungah, the author of damndelicious.net, specifically asked for people to share their avocado toast recipes: “Plus, we can discuss all types of avocado toast variations we can do here.”, so not sure what yer griping about.
I try to pack as much nutrition into every meal as possible. So I start out with while wheat toast, only enough butter to soften the toast, mashed avocados, sliced tomato, thinly slices radish and a once over easy egg. My go to spices for this dish are pepper, garlic, crushed red pepper, cayenne (I like it hot), and thyme leaves, with maybe a squeeze of fresh lemon or lime. Not a fan of anything sesame.
RUDE
Thanks Sandra for sharing! I am going to make your version 🙂 dont mind the useless and rude comments of people here!
