Berry Green Smoothie
Make-ahead freezer friendly smoothies that are healthy, nutritious and so refreshing for your mornings!
Ever since I started to work from home, I need every excuse to get out of the house into the real world. That’s when I started to walk down the street to Starbucks and the donut store for a morning treat before I start my work day. But obviously the donut calories are not doing me any kind of justice. So with bikini season right around the corner, I decided to change up my morning routine with a healthy green smoothie.
But instead of having a green-green smoothie, I decided to throw in some frozen berries that I had on hand. Now I love all kinds of berries but I’ve found that blueberries and raspberries make a great flavor combo. Plus, you’ll get that extra antioxidant boost! From there, I also added in a banana for some natural sweetness and old fashioned oats to keep you nice and full until lunch time.
You can also freeze individual smoothie packs in a Ziploc bag using your favorite combination of fruits. You can have a different smoothie every day, and it doesn’t get easier than throwing everything straight from the Ziploc bag to the blender! There’s absolutely no thawing needed. All you need to is add your milk and oats when you’re ready to blend. Super easy, right?

The first thing I would make would be a frozen coffee of some type so that I can *try* to kick my Starbucks habit!
This smoothie looks so good. What a great idea with the ziplock bags.
I would make all the smoothies!! My blender just broke and we’ve been so sad without the morning smoothies. Strawberry|Banana, Blueberry|Peach|Spinach, and all the other tasty combinations!
Genius, freezing for quick smoothies
I would make a mudslide. yum yum
Smoothies. I love smoothies for breakfast.
I would definitely start with your berry, banana & spinach smoothie with oats! Healthy & yummy!
This smoothie recipe looks yummy. I was kind of in a smoothie rut too. So, it’s right on time!
I love the addition of oats. I am seeing these in more and more smoothy recipes! Trying right now!
I would definitely start with your smoothie! It sounds yummy. Thanks for the chance to win!
I would definitely be making many more smoothies!
I’d make a watermelon mango smoothie sweetened with honey!
I would love a blender to make healthy smoothies! I’ve made a green drink in a juicer, but never in a blender.
I can’t wait to make this recipe or your Green Smoothie (https://damndelicious.net/2012/09/05/green-smoothie/)

Smoothies for breakfast are great! My daughter and I have started having them in the mornings before she heads to school. Love the freezer baggy tip! Having everything precut and bagged will save tons of time in the mornings!
Beautiful smoothie, you know I love blueberries! I’d make this smoothie or a mango coconut smoothie first.
Great idea! Looks yummy 🙂
I love the recipe you have but the first recipe I would make would include green tea, for morning boost, in place of milk. I would add flax seed for omega 3s and I would use agave nectar in place of the sugar. I can’t wait to try this one!!
I would make a smoothie with yogurt, banana and frozen pineapple!
I love smoothies and I love easy! Thank you for sharing this yummy recipe!!
