Mini Deep Dish Pizzas
These 5-ingredient mini pizzas are unbelievably easy, fool-proof, and completely addicting! Perfect for game day!
Remember when I started hoarding those mini pepperonis? Well, I found yet another great use for them in these awesome mini deep dish pizzas, which comes just in time for football season. And yes, if you ask me what my favorite season is, it’s definitely football season.
Football season is the best season of all because you have every guilt-free excuse to stuff your face with game day food, and these pizzas are no exception.
And with that crisp, deep dish tortilla crust, these babies are simply irresistible.
Now I still have about 4 mini pepperoni bags left so I’m sure I’ll be making these pizzas for every single football game!
Mini Deep Dish Pizzas
Ingredients
- 4 Old El Paso™ flour tortillas for burritos, 8 inch
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 36 mini pepperonis
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly oil a 12-cup muffin tin or coat with nonstick spray.
- Working one at a time, lay tortilla on a flat surface. Using an empty can, cut 3-4 medium circles, pressing firmly enough in a rocking motion to cut through the tortilla.
- Fit a tortilla circle into each of 12 muffin tins, pressing carefully to make sure there is an opening in the center. Scoop 1 tablespoon pizza sauce into each muffin tin. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, topping with 3 mini pepperonis each.
- Place into oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese has melted.
- Serve immediately.

Hi Chung, I made mini pizza for my son’ 3rd birthday party today. They turned out great. I love it. The kids love it. Easy to make and delicious!! Thank you for the recipe!
Nicha
These look so yummy! I love the mini pepperonis.
Took this whole idea and altered it! Sprinkled Parmesan and garlic powder in bottom. Topped it with prego (any kind u like). Sneaked in some steamed broccoli and cauliflower pieces, topped with mozzarella and mini pepperoni. Baked as directed and AWESOME! Not one person noticed the veggies and it was delicious!
How would you suggest removing them out of the muffin tin?
If the pan is greased, they should come out fairly easily using a silicone spatula or even a butter knife.
Does anyone know if you could use pillsbury refrigerated biscuits for the crust??
Probably. I am going to try with pillsbury pizza dough, just cook for the time the dough package says to to make sure the biscuits are cooked.
Omg! Pizza are my absolute favorite! This is such a clever way to make them on snack form! I’m definitely going to try these. Hope I will be able to show you the results 🙂
We took this idea and created mini chicken pesto pizzas that were amazing! We mixed pesto into the enchilada sauce, then placed some bite size appropriate chicken pieces, covered them in shredded cheese, topped it with a twist of Italian seasoning grinder, garnished with fresh chopped basil and WOW!
these are really fast to make. I added banana peppers to give them a little more flavoring.
Hi, Chung, I find this absolutely amazing but I’m reluctant to try the bottled pizza sauce, do u have a pizza sauce recipe I can try doing myself? Thanks!
Roy, here is a 5-Minute Pizza Sauce recipe I use all the time!
Gonna try with crescent roll dough
So genius! Great recipe, awesome photos!
Oh my goodness, these were amazing! I was able to find the mini pepperonis at Walmart with the refrigerated pepperoni. We added in some bacon bits, Parmesan cheese, basil, garlic, and Italian seasoning. They were absolutely killer!
Some other ideas we plan to try in the future…
– Honey BBQ sauce with bits of chicken, bacon, and cheddar cheese
– Alfredo sauce with bits of garlic/italian seasoned chicken and mozarella cheese
Where can I find those mini pepperonis? Awesome idea!
I was able to find them at my local grocery store (after visiting 2 stores that didn’t have them). It may be best to call in advance to see if your store carries them.
Made these last night and they are amazing (even though we didn’t have pepperoni). Everyone loved them. I’m already thinking about the different possibilities. Buffalo chicken, BBQ chicken, Mexican variations. The thin, crispy crust is what makes these so wonderful. Thanks for sharing!
Hello!Im mesmerized by your recipes!Im definitely gonna try to make one after my exams are finished!I was wondering that will it be okay if I dont use muffin tins?I dont have one at home so is it okay if I use the muffin/cupcake cups?
Lavita, the pizzas may not hold up as well if a muffin tin is not used.
It says serve immediately….do they dry out or become soggy? I would love to do this for a baby shower tomorrow!
Yes, these run the risk of becoming soggy. Also, the crust is best when devoured immediately out of the oven!
These were delicious! A big hit with my kids too! I I used whole wheat tortillas and only 1/2 tbsp of pizza sauce instead of 1 tbsp. I will be making these again soon!
Do you think if I prep these tonight and then bake in the morning tomorrow for a bridal shower they will be ok? Or should I just prep and cook in the morning?
These are really best when prepped and served immediately as I worry that the tortilla cannot hold up everything for that long.
Just use regular pepperoni & cut it up with kitchen shears. Thanks for sharing. I’m pinning!
could these be cooked at a lower temp for a bit longer ( if needed ) so that I can bake them with another dish?
These are really best when baked at 425 degrees F to get that crisp, deep crust.
