Mini Deep Dish Pizzas
These 5-ingredient mini pizzas are unbelievably easy, fool-proof, and completely addicting! Perfect for game day!
Remember when I started hoarding those mini pepperonis? Well, I found yet another great use for them in these awesome mini deep dish pizzas, which comes just in time for football season. And yes, if you ask me what my favorite season is, it’s definitely football season.
Football season is the best season of all because you have every guilt-free excuse to stuff your face with game day food, and these pizzas are no exception.
And with that crisp, deep dish tortilla crust, these babies are simply irresistible.
Now I still have about 4 mini pepperoni bags left so I’m sure I’ll be making these pizzas for every single football game!
Mini Deep Dish Pizzas
Ingredients
- 4 Old El Paso™ flour tortillas for burritos, 8 inch
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- ¾ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan
- 36 mini pepperonis
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Lightly oil a 12-cup muffin tin or coat with nonstick spray.
- Working one at a time, lay tortilla on a flat surface. Using an empty can, cut 3-4 medium circles, pressing firmly enough in a rocking motion to cut through the tortilla.
- Fit a tortilla circle into each of 12 muffin tins, pressing carefully to make sure there is an opening in the center. Scoop 1 tablespoon pizza sauce into each muffin tin. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses, topping with 3 mini pepperonis each.
- Place into oven and bake for 10-12 minutes, or until cheese has melted.
- Serve immediately.

These are adorable!
These look absolutely BRILLIANT – as a hoarder of tortillas this could quickly become my “go to” lazy dish! 🙂
Could corn tortilla’s be used to make this be gluten free?
Yes, absolutely!
Or you can use the Mission brand gluten free flour tortillas (can be found on Amazon.)
I love pizza and this mini version is perfect, maybe then I won’t eat so many, Pinned!
I neeeed these in my life! They look fantastic, and the mini pepperonis are so handy for this 😀 x
I so enjoy you AND your clever recipes!
They look amazing 🙂 I have to make these, the can you show at the top is old El Paso Enchilada sauce, but it says Pizza sauce below witch one do you use ? they both have a very different flavor.
You should definitely be using pizza sauce for the recipe. I used a can of enchilada sauce simply for cutting the circles out.
I did one pan with enchilada sauce and taco cheese and a jalapeno. They disappeared fast.
I am so glad you asked about the enchilada sauce! I didn’t even see the tortilla underneath until I read the reply. Too funny. Can’t wait to make these. If I can find tiny pepperoni.
I’m sure you could used pre-cooked Italian Sausage, too, or even ham. It would be like making any other pizza. As for the lady who wanted to use Pita Bread, I think it would work fine, if you split the pita in half and put the crusty part up. Use your imagination. Heck, I’d even try canned biscuits, especially the flaky variety, and just use half of each biscuit for the crust.
These are so cute! And such a great idea – so perfect for a party or a quick dinner!
These sound so easy and fast! What do you mean by “pressing carefully to make sure there is an opening in the center”??
Exactly that! You need to make sure there is an opening big enough for your toppings.
She means make sure there is a cup in the tortilla. I am wondering about the deep dish part. and three pepperonis on each pizza. I count 5.
Susan, you can add 3, 5 or 10 mini pepperonis! I wrote 3 in the recipe as a general rule of thumb but sometimes you can cheat a little and add more. As for the deep dish – because everything is held in a “cup”, you have a nice deep dish pizza with all that goodness nestled right in there. Hope that answers your questions!
I think I’m going to try this with pita bread !Do you think that’ll work?
The pita bread may be too thick as a crust.
These are such a cute idea!
Such fun little pizzas!
I am kind of in love with these. Mini, 5 ingredients AND something that I can shove into my face while dying a slow death of watching football all day long with my husband? Perfect! Pinned!
yumyum and sooo cute! 😀 must try them too 🙂 just need to find some veggie-mini-pepperonis 😉
These are like the cutest little things EVER! I love those mini pepperonis and love the hand-model shots! I wish I could get shots like that! My hand model is 7 yrs old and way too wiggly LOL
Too funny! It’s hard enough to do it with a 28 year old with very dry fingers. I’ve been dying to get him a manicure!
