I’m planning on having all my co-workers and their spouses over to my house in August for a cook-out! I’ve been wanting to do it ever since I bought this house a couple of years ago, but have just never had the chance. I’m so excited!
This salad looks delicious. I love to serve super sized salads like this one when I entertain in the summer. It’s a breath of fresh air from the usual mayo-based salads that are frequently served in the summertime.
For summer parties and get togethers, we make sure to do anything and everything as early as possible! That way, when the brews come out, you have more time to hang out with your friends and family!

In the summer we keep things real simple. We like to use throwaway plates, cups and bowls but still use real eating utensils. Your salad looks so yummy!
During the summer, we mostly do bbqs. Nothing big, nothing too fancy. With 3 little kids, it is hard to make a get together special.
I love freezing berries or mint in ice cubes, because apart from keeping your drinks cool, they look so nice and impart a little extra flavor to your summer beverages.
We always try to schedule in hikes in the summer…. that way we can explore the area around us with friends and family. We live away from the bulk of our family, so a lot of thought and planning goes into any entertaining that we do. We both love to cook, so food is always at the center of it!
Summer equals birthday season for our family. We do a lot of swimming parties.
