Cheesy Pizza Bread
The best and cheesiest pull apart bread ever! An easy addition to any menu or occasion. Except everyone will be fighting for a piece!
I’m not entirely sure which day I’m most excited for.
Christmas or New Year’s Eve.
Because on Christmas, you have presents.
But with NYE.
You have…
Well, this.
Pizza bread.
It’s a tough choice you guys.
Because this bread is basically a base of garlic bread.
Topped with pizza sauce.
Mozzarella cheese.
And mini pepperonis.
So maybe I’m most excited for NYE…
Cheesy Pizza Bread
Ingredients
- 1 16-ounce tube refrigerated buttermilk biscuits
- 1 cup pizza sauce
- 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- ¼ cup freshly grated Parmesan
- ¼ cup mini pepperonis
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
For the garlic butter topping
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly oil a large oven-proof skillet or coat with nonstick spray.
- To make the garlic butter topping, whisk together butter, Parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, oregano and salt in a small bowl; set aside.
- Cut each of the 8 biscuits into fourths, making 32 pieces. Spread biscuits in a single layer onto the prepared skillet. Brush with garlic butter topping.
- Top with pizza sauce, mozzarella, Parmesan and mini pepperonis.
- Place into oven and bake until the cheese has melted, about 14-16 minutes.
- Serve immediately, garnished with parsley, if desired.

Hi, if I don’t have the oven-proof skillet, can I use a pie pan?
Yes, of course.
The crust IS the best part! All cheesy, crunchy goodness. This is a beauty and I am going to go make one as a test run with salami, because I love salami.
This looks so, so good!!

This looks delicious! Thanks for sharing! Merry Christmas =)
Can it be made in a casserole type dish instead and would that alter the cooking time?
Yes, a casserole dish will work just fine. Cooking time should stay about the same, but as always, please use your best judgment.
This just has to be a winner!!
Looks yummy and perfect!
Can you tell me the brand of pepperoni you use? I’ve been looking for the minis and just haven’t found them here. Perhaps if I can tell the grocer the brand, they might order them. thank you!
Hormel! 🙂
First of all, I love making many of your delicious recipes that have become family favorites!
This looks equally promising, but would like to know what size biscuit you are using; “grands”,
“flaky layers”, or regular (flatter) types. Does it matter? Thanks!
You can use any of the above-mentioned!
Perfect comfort dish! (:
What size skillet? I need to substitute cause i don’t have that.
About 8-10″.
