About Damn Delicious®

Damn Delicious® was simply a hobby, but now it’s my full-time job.

Coming from a very traditional Korean household, I was destined to be one of three things: a lawyer, a dentist or a doctor. So as a grad school hobby, I created a Tumblr account in April 2011 to document some of my favorite recipes. I had one reader, making less than $0.30 per month.

But 14 years later, Damn Delicious® has grown into something that I never thought possible. I have connected with readers all over the world, conquered so many culinary feats in my kitchen, and collaborated with brands that I always dreamed to work with.

Damn Delicious has even grown into an amazing team of individuals working together to create the best possible recipes. We create recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and videos that focus on quick and easy meals for the everyday home cook to show you that it really doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal completely from scratch.

Damn Delicious® is a registered trademark of Chungah Rhee.

  2. Hey from Australia Chungah!

Have just discovered your site when looking for slow cooker recipes – my fav type of cooking – easy & richly moist (also it’s mid-winter here still). I was raised in a very cooking-indifferent family. But I need to make more of an effort for our health, and my husband & I will LOVE these, thanks!

Btw we have 5 large leapy dogs so spend practically all of our outside-work hours in dog parks & at dog sports. They are indeed a joy. And my husband cried @ our wedding too – what treasures they are:-)

  3. I have your recipe book and receive your emails daily. Congratulations on your marriage and continued luck and success in both your marriage and in your wonderful recipes that our family and friends enjoy! You’ve made my cooking such much easier and definitely tastier!

  4. Love this! Thank you for sharing this story. I’m still wiping the tears from my eyes. Can’t wait to try your Sausage, potato and spinach recipe. Blessings to you, Ben, Cartman and Butters.

  5. Thank you for posting the Bulgogi recipe! I’ve discovered Korea through Netflix and Rakuten Viki and the wonderful shows there. Watching people eat and drink I wanted to sample what I was watching. Now I can turn up a glass of soju or soju and beer with a plate of Bulgogi like Son Ye Jin or Shin Hye Sun. 🙂 Looking forward to trying the next recipe out this Fall. Again Thank You so much.

  6. Your wedding looks perfect and those pups!! So adorable! Wishing you a happy life and happy anniversary, a bit late!

I love your recipes. My 2020 resolution was to cook at home more than I was, which ended up being a necessity. I discovered you then. Now when I’m searching for a recipe on Pinterest and a recipe pops up from you, I’m saving it and making it! Thank you for being a part of my culinary journey.

  7. Dear Chungah,

I’m the cook in our family and yesterday I made your “Bacon Cheddar Chive Biscuit.” Image my delight and surprise when my wife, who doesn’t generally eat bread or biscuits, ate 2.5 of yours. Great accurate recipe – I’ll be looking at others. Many thanks, Andrew

  8. Beautiful Wedding Pictures And I Love Yur Pups. They’re So Cute.

  9. I love your recipes and your husband and dogs are cute too.
My husband and I live in Fort Wayne, Indiana with our dog, Buddy. I didn’t cook until I retired 7 years ago, since you are a tremendous help for me. Thank you for your damn delicious food.

  10. Can’t wait to try two of your recipes this weekend for a surprise birthday party!

  11. Oh my gosh!! How wonderful to find your beautiful website and loved your bio. I’m an active 85 year old retired nurse (of 50 years!) and I LOVE to cook and bake. My husband and I live in south Florida and seafood is always available. He loves mussels and I just ran across your mussels recipe in the appetizer section so that will be on our table this Friday. I love your dogs, so cute. I think from now on I’ll just make my dinners off your website. THANK YOU!!

  12. Beautiful bio!  Love it.  I can’t wait to start making some of your recipes.  Glad I found you!

  13. Your recipes are very well put together and very easy to follow.  The ingredients are not difficult to get even in South Carolina.  Thanks for the time you take to make each recipe easy to follow and to make.

  14. So happy to make your acquaintance, Chungah! Very serendipitous that I should stumble upon your blog, as my friend had just given me a load of frozen strawberries to make room in her freezer for freshly caught salmon( here on Vancouver Island). I was delighted to read your recipe…quick, not much sugar and the kick of balsamic.
I immediately subscribed to your blog and look forward to learning more of your recipes and delightful family…Congratulations on your wedding and very best wishes for you and the sweet Corgis!
