About Damn Delicious®

Damn Delicious® was simply a hobby, but now it’s my full-time job.

Coming from a very traditional Korean household, I was destined to be one of three things: a lawyer, a dentist or a doctor. So as a grad school hobby, I created a Tumblr account in April 2011 to document some of my favorite recipes. I had one reader, making less than $0.30 per month.

But 14 years later, Damn Delicious® has grown into something that I never thought possible. I have connected with readers all over the world, conquered so many culinary feats in my kitchen, and collaborated with brands that I always dreamed to work with.

Damn Delicious has even grown into an amazing team of individuals working together to create the best possible recipes. We create recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and videos that focus on quick and easy meals for the everyday home cook to show you that it really doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal completely from scratch.

Damn Delicious® is a registered trademark of Chungah Rhee.

  8. Your recipes were made for my family! My Kindle is my recipe box and many of your recipes are in that box. Your range is so broad and you use ingredients that people have or can easily get or substitute. You don’t try to impress with weird, hard to attain or afford ingredients. Several times I’ve been missing one small ingredient but your recipes are so delicious and user-friendly that it still works. You also are creative and make attractive and elegant dishes.
Whether it’s carbonara, carnitas or a barley dish, you really have it! Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent.
Your carbonara recipe is better than my Tyler Florence recipe.

  11. Dearest Chungah,

Thank you so very much for all the wonderful research, work, and curating you do!  The world is full of doctors, lawyers and dentists, but beautiful recipes that make families come together are truly needed in this world!

    Congratulations on your wedding ♥️

    Sincerely,
    Cynthia

  12. Do you and your husband have a “meet-cute” story?  You have a really adorable family!  My husband and I met twelve years ago on E-Harmony and we have two dogs and two cats.  Actually the dogs and cats have us, really.

Thank you for sharing your recipe for homemade dog food.  Chloé, our 14 year old Chihuahua rescue, has lost most of her teeth and needs soft food now.  All the store brand stuff are just tasty fillers without much nutritional value.  Thanks for the help.

  13. You’re adorable and I love your recipes! Happy first anniversary! You make a beautiful pair.  And I just wanna squeeze those puppers!

My husband and I (almost 25 years together) are huge South Park fans so I love that your dogs are named Butters and Cartman. Thank you for your wonderful website – I have just begun to explore it. All the best to you and your family.

  16. Good stuff

  17. Lovely little family you have there!  But where did you get your culinary skills? I have loved everything I have made from your site – thank you so very much for putting them on Pinterest!

  18. Adorable doggies!!

  19. Congratulations!!! Thanks for sharing your wedding pics. So cute!!

  20. On the Big Island and just sent your lime chicken receipt to our daughter who is taking care of our home in Santa Fe, NM. Your smile, dogs and husband make a wonderful team due to love the photos. I have many of your ideas in a folder which is gaining in size.

Marshall Sale (Santa Fe) but now in Hawaii…getting hungry again for your chicken ideas plus those street tacos a week or so again.
