About Damn Delicious®
Damn Delicious® was simply a hobby, but now it’s my full-time job.
Coming from a very traditional Korean household, I was destined to be one of three things: a lawyer, a dentist or a doctor. So as a grad school hobby, I created a Tumblr account in April 2011 to document some of my favorite recipes. I had one reader, making less than $0.30 per month.
But 14 years later, Damn Delicious® has grown into something that I never thought possible. I have connected with readers all over the world, conquered so many culinary feats in my kitchen, and collaborated with brands that I always dreamed to work with.
Damn Delicious has even grown into an amazing team of individuals working together to create the best possible recipes. We create recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and videos that focus on quick and easy meals for the everyday home cook to show you that it really doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal completely from scratch.
Damn Delicious® is a registered trademark of Chungah Rhee.
I came across your wonderful website looking for a good Chili’s copycat Cajun Chicken Pasta recipe. I will be making it tonight – Can’t wait !
One question – I’d love to train in culinary arts, but cooking schools can be so expensive. Do you have any recommendations for culinary training in the LA/OC area ? Thanks and looking forward to your recipe updates ! Go Dodgers Dogs !
Go Dodgers! Unfortunately, I did not attend any culinary schools as I am a self-taught home cook. Sorry! I wish I could be more help!
I have a white and orange fluffy cat named Butters! Never heard of another pet named butters. Also the instant pot beef stew was lovely. Thank you!
Aw, that’s so cute! And so glad to hear the stew came out so great!
Chungah, I Love-Love-Love your recipes. Oh, and you’re well presented yourself. Keep those great recipes coming. Thanks. Dave
I like to search for recipes that contain the food I have on-hand. I scroll through until I find one that looks good, print it, and make it. I have definitely noticed that the majority of the recipes I have selected come from damndelicious. I figured it was time to get intentional and get on your mailing list. Thanks for putting together this wonderful resource!
Welcome to the blog, Mollie 🙂 We are happy to have you! We hope you enjoy lots of new recipes!
I am a Chef so, I am constantly looking for fresh ideas. I do mostly Buffet style for groups from 75-300 people. Hi CHUNGAH,
I like your recipes. It looks amazing, CHUNGAH it’s good that first, it was the hobby and now it’s Job! I’m so glad I found you on websites. Your recipes are looking so delicious and make easy for everybody. Keep cooking!
I absolutely adore your cooking, I just got married a couple of years ago and never cooked in my life. Until I got married I always thought cooking was so hard but you make it so easy. I never thought I would be making foods that I do today. My husband loves it, my family loves it, I even take your food to parties and they always want my recipes. Damn Delicious is amazing. The food is easy and tastes amazing. Chungah Rhee you are amazing. Thank you for all that you do. Thanks to you I actually enjoy cooking.
I haven’t tried any of your recipes but they all look & sound yummy. Will order your cookbook for sure. Thanks for all your help.
WoW!! JUST now discovered your site…. I am in total AWE of your recipes, and I’ve gone thru about a ream of paper (so far) printing off just the ones that immediately call to me…. I shudder to think what I’m going to have when I’ve thoroughly gone thru all your recipes (like that will ever happen…)
Thank you for this amazing website – I will be eating better and spending less time at it than before because of you!!! Hogs and quiches to you! 😀
I’m the weirdo who found the cookbook before the website. But, then again, I do work in a bookstore, so… The chocolate chip muffin recipe is AMAZING, though I have yet to make them with chocolate chips – made them once with blueberries and blackberries, then again half that and the other half lemon blueberry. The bacon wrapped scallops were RIDICULOUS. Will be trying lemon butter scallops, spaghetti carbonara, and tortellini soup this week. Thanks for an amazing cookbook!
Found firecracker chicken! Crazy good, can’t wait to try more!
Thanks for the best food website ever (not joking…I make one of your recipes near every night). It is honestly so refreshing to find a place that has normal ingredients that I have on hand (usually) and that doesn’t take an eternity to make or require a rocket scientist to decipher. I have 2 small kids and all of your recipes are child approved and make it easier for me as a mom to come home after a long day at work and put a good meal on the table. I’m extremely thankful for all that you do!
This is my new favorite website!! Finally feel like I’m learning to cook and gaining confidence in my ability to do so. So far have made 6 dishes off of here in the last couple weeks and they’ve all turned out so good!! Thank you so much!!
I can’t even remember how I found your website but everything I ‘ve made has ,like you say,Damn Delicious. So much so I am buying your cookbook.Your recipes are just what I am looking for, quick, easy everyday recipes with everyday ingredients.I signed up to get your emails and last Sunday you sent Greek Chicken Soup. Not knowing what I was going to make that night,I looked at the ingredient list and had everything in my kitchen which was simple everyday ingredients. It was Delicious! I have always struggled to make my chicken noodle soup have flavor ,even though this does not have noodles it will replace my chicken noodle soup. Thanks for your Fantastic recipes!
Chungah,
I am obsessed with your website, your recipes are easy, fun, and healthy and colorful. The recipes certainly help make my life as a stay at home mom easy, and they make it seem like I spent all day slaving over a hot stove. Keep the yummy recipes coming!
Looking forward to the next up and coming damn delicious recipes!

My daughter who is a fantastic cook introduced me to your website. I love your recipes because they are quick, easy to fix and usually with ingredients I have or can get in our rural area! They always taste amazing and I rarely change anything, which is unusual for me! Whether I am looking for something special or just for my husband and myself, I can always count on your site to give me a good suggestion. Please keep up the good work and keep adding those recipes!!! They are absolutely amazing and definitely Damn Delicious!!!
Hi CHUNGAH,
I just came across your Damn Delicious recipes, while looking for a different recipe for dinner tonight. My husband and I are retired. We were in the restaurant business for thirty five years. He was just commenting yesterday for me to prepare some different recipes. I am anxious to try some of the recipes that many have mentioned in their e-mails. I will also order your new cookbook. I salute you for writing a cookbook, this is something I have wanted to do for years and I have always been working. Now that I have retired I need to get going. Keep up the great job!!
I love your site and make your recipes regularly. One of my resolutions for 2018 is to start using a meal planner in a consistent basis. Are your recipes connected to any of the meal planning apps out there, and if so, which ones? If not, are there any meal apps that you recommend? I’m trying out a few and am inputting my favourite recipes (yours!) by hand, but is there something out there to make it easier! Regardless, if I need to do it by hand I will, ad your recipes are always my go-to recipes for something fast, easy and delicious.
Unfortunately, I am not familiar with any meal apps at this time. Sorry!
It’s easy. Select your recipe, click on “Print”, then instead of printing, highlight the recipe, copy it and then paste it into your word processing document then tweak the alignment, font, size, etc….. After doing a few hundred, you’ll get really fast.
If there’s SHTML frames around the text portion (drives me nuts), paste the text portion into a notepad. That will strip off all the formatting. Then copy and paste that into your word processing document and do as above.
A convention I established with all my thousands of recipes, is immediately under the recipe’s title in the word document, I copy and paste in the URL so I don’t have to wonder where I got the recipe. When you hit return, it will create an underlined, blue hyperlink to the site so all you have to do is hover over the link, hold control and then left click to go to the page.
After that, I then copy and paste in the photo so I can see how it’s supposed to present. Hope this gives you an idea. Happy cooking…… Dave
