ABOUT CHUNGAH

I am the founder, creator, food photographer and recipe developer of Damn Delicious®, a website established in 2011. What started as a grad school hobby using a simple Tumblr account has transformed into my full-time job and business, connecting with millions of readers all over the world with recipes that are regularly featured in major media such as People, TODAY, and Bon Appetit, among many others.

Moving away from sunny Los Angeles, I now reside in the Midwest with my family and corgi crew, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Why use Damn Delicious® recipes

  • Trusted recipes. • Focusing on quick and easy. Here at Damn Delicious®, we focus on quick, easy, and effortless dinners for the everyday home cook to show you that it doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal, especially during those busy weeknights between school pick-up and soccer practice.
  • Easy to find ingredients. The recipes you find here require minimal prep and feature easy-to-find ingredients, making them no-fuss, affordable, and speedy. We’re talking minimal clean up, versatile pantry staples, one pan dinners, and budget-friendly meals with bold flavors for the entire family or weekend company.

  3. Your recipes are the best-delicious and easy

  4. Love the recipes. Keep doing what you love! I also love the dog! I have a bulldog named matilda

  5. I love the new theme, it matches your personality! I think one of my favorites and also the first recipe I tried from your website was the honey walnut shrimp recipe. I highly recommend it.

  6. I consider your chicken recipes TDF (to die for)!  I have used so many of them!

  7. 안녕하세요! 만나서 반갑습니다.
Let me first start of saying

I spent well over a month driving around Korea and spending time in Seoul. I have never, in all my travels, met a kinder, more considerate and thoughtful people than the Koreans I met all over the country. Whenever I was lost which was often, they put themselves out to help me. When I was hungry, they freely offered food. When I was getting wet in the rain, they gave me an umbrella. And the friendship they offered this oblivious stranger is incomparable. So, as you can tell, I’m a big fan of Korean recipes, cooking and its hospitable culture. Except for some of the modern, very sweet recipes, Korean dishes are extremely healthy, nutritious and aid the body’s digestion. I’m always on searching for easy Korean recipes that emulate traditional Korean flavors, using traditional herbs, spices, sweeteners, and other ingredients while being easy to create. Thus far, I enjoy your easy recipes that are based on traditional Koreans dishes.

  8. I love making your recipes particularly for Sunday dinners when my extended family  is at my house for dinner. I have a request.  I am on Weight Watchers and I need to count my points which means I need to know the calories, saturated fats, protein, etc.  sometimes you have the information following your recipes and sometimes you don’t.

Is it possible to be consistent with the nutrition chart with each recipe you post.

    • Hi Vanessa! Nutritional information is provided only for select and some new recipes at this time. However, if it is not available for a specific recipe, we recommend using free online resources at your discretion (you can Google “nutritional calculator”) to obtain such information. Hope that helps!

  9. I love your site and recommend it to everyone. The food is always delish and my family loves to pretty much everything (especially the Asian inspired stuff). Thanks for the site; it’s my go-to for my family.  And the fact that the ingredients are stuff I already have and the directions are simple helps too. But they’re also so tasty!

    • Thank you for the compliment and for sharing with your friends! We appreciate it.

  10. I just love your website, layout and, of course, the recipes. The recipes are delicious!!!! I love the way you nestle in “my other recipes”. That catches my eye. The print button works well. Good Asian recipes are difficult to find. Your pictures of the foods look delectable. Good illustration!! I like the way you show how to make your dishes.

Overall, good job!! Keep it up.

It is unfortunate, however, that Google allows so many popups.

  11. I came across your wonderful website looking for a good Chili’s copycat Cajun Chicken Pasta recipe. I will be making it tonight – Can’t wait !
One question – I’d love to train in culinary arts, but cooking schools can be so expensive. Do you have any recommendations for culinary training in the LA/OC area ? Thanks and looking forward to your recipe updates ! Go Dodgers Dogs !

    • Go Dodgers! Unfortunately, I did not attend any culinary schools as I am a self-taught home cook. Sorry! I wish I could be more help!

  12. I have a white and orange fluffy cat named Butters! Never heard of another pet named butters. Also the instant pot beef stew was lovely. Thank you!

  13. Chungah, I Love-Love-Love your recipes. Oh, and you’re well presented yourself. Keep those great recipes coming. Thanks. Dave

  14. I like to search for recipes that contain the food I have on-hand.  I scroll through until I find one that looks good, print it, and make it.  I have definitely noticed that the majority of the recipes I have selected come from damndelicious.  I figured it was time to get intentional and get on your mailing list.  Thanks for putting together this wonderful resource!

    • Welcome to the blog, Mollie 🙂 We are happy to have you! We hope you enjoy lots of new recipes!

  17. I absolutely adore your cooking, I just got married a couple of years ago and never cooked in my life. Until I got married I always thought cooking was so hard but you make it so easy. I never thought I would be making foods that I do today. My husband loves it, my family loves it, I even take your food to parties and they always want my recipes. Damn Delicious is amazing. The food is easy and tastes amazing. Chungah Rhee you are amazing. Thank you for all that you do. Thanks to you I actually enjoy cooking.

  18. I haven’t tried any of your recipes but they all look & sound yummy. Will order your cookbook for sure. Thanks for all your help.

  19. WoW!! JUST now discovered your site…. I am in total AWE of your recipes, and I’ve gone thru about a ream of paper (so far) printing off just the ones that immediately call to me…. I shudder to think what I’m going to have when I’ve thoroughly gone thru all your recipes (like that will ever happen…)

Thank you for this amazing website – I will be eating better and spending less time at it than before because of you!!! Hogs and quiches to you! 😀

  20. I’m the weirdo who found the cookbook before the website. But, then again, I do work in a bookstore, so… The chocolate chip muffin recipe is AMAZING, though I have yet to make them with chocolate chips – made them once with blueberries and blackberries, then again half that and the other half lemon blueberry. The bacon wrapped scallops were RIDICULOUS. Will be trying lemon butter scallops, spaghetti carbonara, and tortellini soup this week. Thanks for an amazing cookbook!
