Strawberry Mango Salsa
The combination of sweet and spiciness is so good, you’ll want to eat this with a spoon!
I don’t know how the weather is in your city but it sure feels like summer here in LA. With gorgeous blue skies and 80+ degree weather, I stayed home all weekend with the air conditioning on and catching up on The Walking Dead.
And believe me when I tell you: this show is addicting. I stayed up until 3AM catching up on season 2 and then I spent the next hour trying to sleep and getting over my fear of, well, zombies. This fictional end-of-the-world apocalypse is really getting to me. But before I go and watch some more walkers getting their brains blown out, I leave you with this refreshing strawberry salsa. (I just realized that blown out brains and strawberry salsa should never be in the same sentence.)
This salsa here is loaded with fresh strawberries and mango with a balanced spiciness and sweetness from the jalapeños and honey. You can eat it with a spoon (as I did a countless number of times) or top it off on your favorite tacos. Either way, you’ll keep coming back for more!

I made this a while back (just never commented) for a salsa contest with my church small group and won! For some reason I thought I needed to dice everything with my food processor so it definitely wasn’t a chunky salsa as shown but it still turned out great!
This is the best fresh fruit salsa I have ever had. The kicker about this salsa though, one night it was brought to dinner and we didn’t have any regular tortilla chips. Instead my mom had cool ranch doritos and instead of mango my grandma put her own twist on it after trying the original recipe she used peaches and with the cool ranch doritos, it set the salsa off like you wouldnt believe!
Made this with some cinnamon sugar chips. It was Delicious!!!
I totally agree with this yummy combination of salsa. I am so crazy over it since the time I made it. Loved your clicks.
Absolutely delicious . Just made this.
Everyone went crazy about it!!! Wanted my secret recipie!!!
It’s such a good one! 🙂
Can you subsitute peaches for the mango?
Yes, of course. What a great idea!
How long does it start fresh I’m thinking about using this as part of my weekly lunches.
A day or so, at least!
Made this salsa and it turned out perfect. Hubby wants me to make another batch to put over his ice cream! Yummy stuff!
This is so fresh and delicious – served it at a “ladies” happy hour. It’s a keeper. Thank you.
Thanks for this recipe. It was a huge hit at our Memorial Day picnic. All the raves! I used strawberries from our garden and they are a little tart this year. This recipe was a perfect use for them.
I love it! I have some mango that I need to it soon, so this is perfect. Btw, your photos are really beautiful
So this can be eaten just with chips? I’m planning for a potluck and not sure what to bring with the salsa. Thanks!
Yes!
This gets rave reviews every time I make it. It’s become a favourite!
I’m making this for a salsa “bake off” at work. Is it “good” with tortilla chips? or is it better suited to a paring with fish or chicken vs. an appetizer type dish?
It will work with all of the above! 🙂
The serving size reads 4…. How much does yield? Does it mean 4 8oz cups? I want to make this for my wedding reception and need to know how much quantity of ingredients I need to buy for a larger bowl. Thank you.
Wee, this recipe yields about 2 cups.
Perfect for our summer gatherings!
Definitely have to try this, looks really good!
what a wonderful idea! I was about to prepare some strawberry salad, and the combination of these ingredients and flavours seems fantastic! I love it! I have some mango that I need to it soon, so this is perfect. Btw, your photos are really beautiful
Is it good made in advance and refrigerate?
Yes! It really lets the flavors come together.
I made this last night and it was a HIT! At first I was hesitant in putting cilantro since it’s so strong and I don’t usually eat this but it wasn’t too bad… everyone LOVED it =) it’s super easy to make.. it didn’t take me 10 minutes as I’m slow at dicing and chopping but it was verrrry good =)
I added a splash of orange juice and it made all the flavors just explode…
My fiance REQUIRES this whenever I do Salmon or Mahi Mahi on the grill… like last night.

This sounds like a wonderful idea. I just picked some strawberries today and I guess I can’t resist to do it again in the coming weeks. Your strawberry mango salsa then sounds like something perfect to try with fresh strawberries.

Delush. Next time I’m adding some small chunks of watermelon in as well.
This is so lovely, I am closing my eyes, trying not to think about zombies, and instead imagining the beautiful weather you’re having. It is cold and rainy here in VT! Arg!

I was in the mood for some mango salsa after trying some at Whole Foods over the weekend. So when I started searching for mango salsa, this post came up in the search results. And I thought, I like strawberries, so why not? I thought this was pretty good–you have the general flavor of salsa, but it’s sweet with a kick. I bet this would taste incredible on fish tacos.
What a great idea and just in time for grilling and warmer weather. This would be magnificent with chicken or seafood or as part of a colorful and beautiful buffet or potluck.
