I just want to be very transparent about this. This recipe is meant to serve 12 but if I’m being completely honest, we each had a row of sliders to ourselves with zero shame. So really, it serves 4. I mean, who can resist these buttery, garlicky tops and the mini peps sandwiched in between sweet dinner rolls with melted ooey gooey cheesy goodness?

- Use Hawaiian rolls. Hawaiian rolls are perfect for sliders – sweet, fluffy, melt in your mouth dinner rolls. Not to mention, they are perfectly bite-sized to feed a big gathering and large crowds.
- Use your favorite cheese. The recipe lists mozzarella but havarti, swiss or gouda are also great options.
- Double the recipe. The sliders can easily be doubled or tripled, using a separate baking dish for each.
- Make ahead of time. This is a great recipe to assemble ahead of time and placed in the fridge (up to 4 hours).
- Cover with foil. If the tops of the dinner rolls are browning too fast, tent with aluminum foil as needed.
- Mix it up. Swap the pepperoni for salami or prosciutto, add bacon or pickled jalapeno slices, or use everything bagel seasoning blend for the poppy seeds.

Pepperoni Pizza Sliders: Frequently Asked Questions
Not a fan of Hawaiian rolls? Dinner rolls, homemade or store-bought, can always be used instead.
Yes! The sliders can be assembled a few hours in advance and placed in the fridge. Brush the tops of the sliders with butter, sprinkling with poppy seeds, and bake right before serving.
Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.

Pepperoni Pizza Sliders
Ingredients
- 1 (12-count) package KING’S HAWAIIAN Original Hawaiian Sweet Dinner Rolls, halved lengthwise
- 1 ½ cups pizza sauce
- 1 (5-ounce) package mini pepperonis
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
For the garlic butter topping
- ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley leaves
- ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Lightly oil a baking sheet or coat with nonstick spray.
- To make the garlic butter topping, whisk together butter, Parmesan, parsley, garlic powder, oregano and salt in a small bowl; set aside.
- Place bottom half of dinner rolls onto the prepared baking sheet. Top with pizza sauce, mini pepperonis, cheese and top of dinner rolls. Brush with half of the garlic butter topping.
- Place into oven and bake until the cheese has melted, about 10-12 minutes.
- Serve immediately, brushed with remaining garlic butter topping.

Delicious! Very easy and a crowd pleaser. Have made exactly as recipe states, and also made a batch using meatballs (cut in half) in place of pepperoni.
Just made this with a few substitutions: leftover Thanksgiving dinner rolls, plant based Mozerella cheese (from Good Planet), and no parmesan (to make close to dairy free). IT. WAS. AMAZING. I shared it with family, and they agree.
My family loved this recipe. I made half the sliders pepperoni and the other sauteed mushroom. This was such a fun way to have pizza and garlic bread for dinner.
I first saw this recipe a year or more ago and wanted to make them. My husband has been doing the grocery shopping since Covid19 hit. 2 0r 3 times I sent him out for Kings Hawaiian rolls and he came home without them??? I had to give up. Now i know these are a US brandname, not available in Canada oops I now have a stand mixer to make the buns so I should be making them soon. I will use ham to make mine ham is my favourite meat.

I did my own twist and made ground beef and seasoned it with some Italian seasoning along with some others and when it was done, I drained the meat and stirred my pasta sauce into it then proceeded to the instructions. This was VERY delicious! Thanks so much!

Hi ! Could I make these with homemade pizza dough and make it into little rolls? There are no such thing as dinner rolls in my country.
My guys ate ALL of these! I threw in some spinach and fresh minced garlic bc I had it around. The only issue I had was with the cooking temp and length-which next time I will put at 375 for 5 minutes as you really are only toasting the dish. Will make again!
Omgsh.. These are amazing! Just made for gameday and half are already gone. Lol I did change a bit because I have read several different but similar recipes in the past. I used two different types of cheese -sliced mozz & jalapeno. And we added a little bit of cooked ground up sausage that we had leftover from breakfast. Let me just say- everyone who has tried one, loves them! My boyfriend even just said he could go without pizza from now on if we have these instead. Yayy!! Game day cooking win for me! The flavors are great! We LOVED these! We didn’t eat them all, and the leftovers were a little soggy. Next time I will put the pepperoni first, then sauce, and cheese. I think this will help with leftovers.
I did use turkey pepperoni, so there would be less calories.

Omg! I added crumbled sausage to these and HOLY COW! These were amazing. My crew is picky but they scarfed these down and said this was a new favorite.

Holy Canoli. These are the bomb diggity. We didn’t get to eat them on Hawaiian rolls because the store ran out, but wowser. They are amazing. My daughter, Emma would have eaten all 12 of them if given the chance. They were that good. But she asked “Will it all go to my bootie?” I said yes…so she stopped at 3. I was making a boatload of them, so I shopped at GFS and got a “super heavy pizza sauce.” It was perfect for this meal. We put the large GFS pepperoni on the bottom, the sauce in the middle, then the shredded cheese. (don’t use the fancy small shredded cheese, use the fat shredded cheese.) No sauce touches the bun, so no soggie boggie. AAAAAAAAmazing meal. To make them a freezer meal, complete as directed above, except for the sauce on the top. Put all topping ingredients in a sandwich baggie, but leave the butter in its wax wrapper and melt just prior to baking and mix with the rest of baggie contents. No special packaging needed. Just slide them back into their original packaging and freeze. Thank you Damn Delicious. They certainly are.
