About Damn Delicious®
Damn Delicious® was simply a hobby, but now it’s my full-time job.
Coming from a very traditional Korean household, I was destined to be one of three things: a lawyer, a dentist or a doctor. So as a grad school hobby, I created a Tumblr account in April 2011 to document some of my favorite recipes. I had one reader, making less than $0.30 per month.
But 14 years later, Damn Delicious® has grown into something that I never thought possible. I have connected with readers all over the world, conquered so many culinary feats in my kitchen, and collaborated with brands that I always dreamed to work with.
Damn Delicious has even grown into an amazing team of individuals working together to create the best possible recipes. We create recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and videos that focus on quick and easy meals for the everyday home cook to show you that it really doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal completely from scratch.
Damn Delicious® is a registered trademark of Chungah Rhee.
This was such a sweet read! I love your recipes, they’re always a huge hit! I’ve taken some of your recipes to friends with seriously discerning palates and found out they also love your site and have made recipes of yours.
Cheers to you, your marriage, and your adorable Corgies!
Lovely wedding pics…..Your recipes are amazing…..Good luck to you….perhaps you will one day have your own cooking show….
Amazing looking food, really appreciate both the simplicity and depth. Website rocks. My son and I are wannabe foodies, and we’re going to dig in this week!
Hi! Tonight I made your chicken and broccoli stir fry. And I’m perplexed! I did everything as written…the only change I made was instead of oyster sauce, I used a combination of Mirin and Soy Sauce, and because I was out of canola I used peanut oil instead with the sesame oil. Although the dish was tasty, I did not get a thick sauce at all. I am thoroughly confused because I added the cornstarch to the cut up chicken. I did however mix it up in a teeny amount of water. I even threw in more at the end when the sauce wasn’t getting thick. The other thing that seemed to go wrong was that my chicken pieces, although totally cooked, never browned at all! Esthetically it was not anywhere as appetizing as your picture!! Where did I go wrong? I have been wracking my brain. Thank you!!!
OMG, I love the 2 DOGS at the END.My name is Kevin ,i just came across your website. I am a US Navy Veteran who served as a cook aboard the USS Guam L.P.H.-9 which is a Navy Amphious Assault Ship.I Love to Try different foods.
Good morning Chungah. I got up early today because I have a lot of medical issues to take care of for my child who is extremely ill. I’m so tired. I’m frazzled and I don’t know what to make for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They can barely eat. I used to be a hell of a from scratch cook myself and loved spoiling my hubster with great dinners. Now I can barely do the basics. I don’t like going out because food isn’t always a match with my child’s allergies, it’s expensive and so high in salt content. This email isn’t meant to be a downer, just the opposite. I cried when I stumbled upon one of your recipes and thought maybe I’ve found a way to get back to good cooking in an easy and inexpensive way. Truth is my husband and 2 children have the same debilitating illness. Covid 19 brought some blessings because the mandate to stay home made it easier to care for everyone, but I’m just wiped out. I plan to make your meals and try to get my proverbial chin off of the floor. I started crying today when I found you. Corny, I know but I’m so happy. I can barely keep my home clean and organized and I’m not sleeping well and they trying to whip up something for dinner…..I’ve literally been forgetting to turn the oven on, forgetting to defrost things, forgetting the vegies. Your recipes look like they will be a help to me in so many ways. I just wanted to lift you up and tell you I loved your story and I’m so glad you found another avenue other than lawyer, dentist or doctor! Those are all marvelous careers, by the way, but I’m glad you followed your heart. Your dogs are adorbs and I love your wedding pictures! That is so sweet. You seem very down to earth and so happy. I love to see that on my fellow human beings….that’s not what I’ve seen lately and it breaks my heart. Much love to you and peace and thank you for the so needed lift this morning…….it was funny how you wound up coming to me today….one prayer answered today. Bless you, Darnelle P.S. Two questions for you, Chungah…..I love your bright sunny yellow shoes! I like that you wore them at your wedding! Is that your favorite color or does it carry symbolism for you? Your wedding pictures were so wonderful! Also does your team do weekly recipe lists to take to market? I find myself at the store realizing I left my list at home or I take out the a piece of paper in my purse and frantically begin sort of planning and jot notes down to shop….then get home and laugh at the hilarity of my many blunders, absurdities and calamities as of late because I had written down my frantic notes on the back of the original grocery list! I’m finding I’m not the only mom/parent who is in this frame of mind as of late and we could all use your Earth Angel vibes to do better in the kitchen because we aren’t who we used to be! Bless your week.
Stunning that was one of the most beautiful weddings I have seen. The dogs were gorgeous.
HI From Australia ,
I absolutely love your recipes ,but have trouble deciding which to cook as they all look so fabulous. I have 4 sons aged from 19-25 ,so I am used to cooking huge amounts of food .. unfortunately we are currently in lockdown and they are stuck in Sydney and New York ,so I haven’t been able to see them for over 6 mths or longer for the son based in NY…Funny thing is I still cook huge meals ,with my husband joking about how many people are coming for dinner. Your meals are so delicious and so make welcome leftovers for the next couple of meals. Thanks for bringing some inspiration and joy and good food to us during these trying times.
I enjoyed seeing your pictures and meeting your two precious dogs. I have made several of your recipes and find them easy to follow. Good job!
I am an 83 old widow so just cook for one but like leftovers!
Hi! I love your recipes. I was thrilled to see more pictures of your two corgis. My hubby and I have one corgi and her name is Charlotte. She’s super sweet and bossy too! But we love her to death. Thanks so much for posting pictures of you and your husband and the new addition to your family too. The pics of Butters and Cartman just made my day.
I love, love, love your blog. Your recipes are all to die for. I’m as happy for you as I am for me that your blog grew so big. Congratulations on your wedding. The photo’s are beautiful. And congratulations on your new furry edition to the family. Butters and Cartman are as cute as can be.

Hey from Australia Chungah!
Have just discovered your site when looking for slow cooker recipes – my fav type of cooking – easy & richly moist (also it’s mid-winter here still). I was raised in a very cooking-indifferent family. But I need to make more of an effort for our health, and my husband & I will LOVE these, thanks!
Btw we have 5 large leapy dogs so spend practically all of our outside-work hours in dog parks & at dog sports. They are indeed a joy. And my husband cried @ our wedding too – what treasures they are:-)
I have your recipe book and receive your emails daily. Congratulations on your marriage and continued luck and success in both your marriage and in your wonderful recipes that our family and friends enjoy! You’ve made my cooking such much easier and definitely tastier!
Kamsahamnida (감사합니다) – “Thank you”
Love this! Thank you for sharing this story. I’m still wiping the tears from my eyes. Can’t wait to try your Sausage, potato and spinach recipe. Blessings to you, Ben, Cartman and Butters.
Thank you for posting the Bulgogi recipe! I’ve discovered Korea through Netflix and Rakuten Viki and the wonderful shows there. Watching people eat and drink I wanted to sample what I was watching. Now I can turn up a glass of soju or soju and beer with a plate of Bulgogi like Son Ye Jin or Shin Hye Sun. 🙂 Looking forward to trying the next recipe out this Fall. Again Thank You so much.
