About Damn Delicious®

Damn Delicious® was simply a hobby, but now it’s my full-time job.

Coming from a very traditional Korean household, I was destined to be one of three things: a lawyer, a dentist or a doctor. So as a grad school hobby, I created a Tumblr account in April 2011 to document some of my favorite recipes. I had one reader, making less than $0.30 per month.

But 14 years later, Damn Delicious® has grown into something that I never thought possible. I have connected with readers all over the world, conquered so many culinary feats in my kitchen, and collaborated with brands that I always dreamed to work with.

Damn Delicious has even grown into an amazing team of individuals working together to create the best possible recipes. We create recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and videos that focus on quick and easy meals for the everyday home cook to show you that it really doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal completely from scratch.

Damn Delicious® is a registered trademark of Chungah Rhee.

  1. i don’t even remember how i found your site — i’ve been on it for years, though, and it IS damn delicious! i have one question — did you name Butters after the South Park character?

  2. We LOVE Butters and Sam! We watch all of your stories on Instagram because my daughter loves to catch a glimpse of them. Oh! And we love your recipes too! Great stuff!

  3. Hey there, ,
Your recipes look amazing. I’m wodering what cheese I could use instead of goat cheese in the cobb salad. I have to stay away from soft cheeses as I am lactose intolerant. Also not keen on Apple cider vinegar for the poppy seed dressing. What could I use instead?

    • Unfortunately, without further recipe testing, I cannot answer with certainty. As always, please use your best judgment regarding substitutions and modifications. Sorry, Linda!

  4. Hello Chungah. While I thoroughly enjoy your delicious recipes, I hope you do not mind for me to say the following. What I find most “Damn Delicious” here – is you! Thank you.

  7. Hi Chungah,

Asian cooking takes a lot of time over the wok. I don’t like to sweat over the fire in the hot kitchen. I live near the Equator. Your baked recipes with fast frying are ideal. I shall try a few of them with my new small toaster oven, capable of making small meals. Thanks for your recipes and the great ideas.

  8. Love your recipe site. Please add me to your mailing list.

  9. Hey, Chungah! Just had to say that you are a huge inspiration! Love your blog!

  10. Chungah! We’ve just discovered you and your recipes and you’ve changed our family cooking life into something that is so much fun and SO easy! We’ve recently moved from LA back to London, England and having these recipes reminds us so much of our fabulous time in LA. The breakfast burrito especially!
My husband is Chinese and I’d never consider even trying to cook Asian food as he’s so good at it, but your recipes have given me the confidence to give several of them a go-and all have been a big hit! So a big Thank You from the Li’s in London! Keep up the good work-I now visit your website practically every day!

  17. Hello,
So happy to find your DIY dog food receipt.  I too have a Pembrooke Corgi we call Butters, (nickname).  He has been losing weight and I took him off all synthetic dog food.   Going to buy your cook books.  Hope to find more dog food receives.

  18. You are now in CA? Wow! I have always thought you were located in NYC. Since you have said you have such a small kitchen, then I am to assume you now reside in the Bay area. Is this blog your sole job? If not, what do you do? Thank you for providing us with so many delicious menu items to help round out our busy lives. Kee up the good work.

  19. Hi dear! What brand of slow cooker do you use?? Sorry if you have answered this before
