About Damn Delicious®

Damn Delicious® was simply a hobby, but now it’s my full-time job.

Coming from a very traditional Korean household, I was destined to be one of three things: a lawyer, a dentist or a doctor. So as a grad school hobby, I created a Tumblr account in April 2011 to document some of my favorite recipes. I had one reader, making less than $0.30 per month.

But 14 years later, Damn Delicious® has grown into something that I never thought possible. I have connected with readers all over the world, conquered so many culinary feats in my kitchen, and collaborated with brands that I always dreamed to work with.

Damn Delicious has even grown into an amazing team of individuals working together to create the best possible recipes. We create recipes, step-by-step tutorials, and videos that focus on quick and easy meals for the everyday home cook to show you that it really doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal completely from scratch.

Damn Delicious® is a registered trademark of Chungah Rhee.

  1. Me encanta haberla encontrado, gracias por sus recetas

  2. I just found you when I was looking for a Chinese chicken salad recipe. I’m a local Hawaiian girl and I’m familiar with this salad. I just like to browse and see how others make it. Anyway the reason I’m writing this email because I had to know more about you. I don’t usually do this. I love you and your family. You have a beautiful family especially the dogs. I hope you keep on creating these easy recipes. I cook a lot but I’m lazy and don’t like too many ingredients and a lot of prep. I’m so glad I stumbled onto your site. Will make the salad tonight.
    Aloha from Hawaii,

  3. Is there a way to save your recipes either than Pinterest? I do not have it and I have no desire to be on it.

  4. I enjoy each suggestion – being a senior with lots fo time…I try but also send receipes to friends especially wives that enjoy cooking. We live in several states so enjoy the cultural exposure…my weakness is not cooking a firm but tasty corn or flour tortilla before the ingredients – perhaps you could provide some tips?
My wife and I live in New Mexico, Arizona and California…we are lucky but my results on the stove not so good. We also love Korean movies on netflix!

  5. Hi Chungah,  I just wanted to let you know I love your recipes and I have never made one that I didn’t love.  Your website is one of my go to sites when I’m looking for something delicious to make.
Thanks!!!  Give Butters and Cartman a pet for me.  I’m a huge corgi fan.

  6. What sort of salad or veg side should I serve with your delicious peanut chicken noodle dish??

  7. Been following you for years, and I cannot recommend you enough! I think my friends are tired of me always recommending you and your website. We even made an entire Thanksgiving dinner last year with exclusively Damn Delicious recipes. SO GOOD! Thank you for making meals that are doable in the kitchen.

  8. Found your Shrimp Carbonara to make for my wife on Valentine’s Day.  We had all of your simple, healthy ingredients.  It was a huge hit!  Delicious, easy, fast and you never know, might even help me get lucky!!  I’ll be following Damn Delicious from now on!

  9. I have just found Damn Delicious. I will be trying your recipes.

  10. I have followed you forever… and to confirm… I found your Harvest Chicken Salad that I saved in Feb 2013!  I LOVE knowing that each of your recipes are tested, confirmed and delicious…. Damn Delicious  Thank you for all you do!  ~Melanie

  11. Hello,

I’ve been making your Korean beef bowl for the past few years – and every time one of my three daughters comments on how much better mine tastes than any they’ve ever made I tell them “It’s because you don’t have the right recipe!”
I know very little about Korean food or culture but I’m looking forward to learning more as a new subscriber.

  12. Found you because I forgot to buy canned sloppy joe sauce. What a great mistake!!! I’ve made 3 different recipes since that, all have been amazing. Super simple and yummy! Can’t wait to explore more. Thanks!

  13. Can’t wait to try it all!! My friend highly recommended you!

  14. I cannot wait to try everything I’ve seen so far, my friend suggested you and I’m a well seasoned cook, so many new things on here!

  15. I cannot wait to try these recipes, I’m a seasoned cook and am seeing so many new ideas already!

  16. I found you on Pinterest as I was searching for quinoa recipes.  I recently watched a documentary on Netflix about You are what you eat and it was eye opening.  So I am going to try and cook recipes high in protein without using meat.  Thank you for your recipes and I hope to see more of them.

  17. Would love any easy, few ingredients recipes IBS friendly, especially any baked deserts gluten free). And hot chocolate / cocoa recipe which is not full of sugar.

  18. My friends and I cherish your recipes, absolutely fresh, flavorful and delicious.
You are my go do meal planning for my week

  19. The pictures of the dogs are really adorable. I love your site. I have one question. I can’t eat dairy products. They make me very ill at this point in my “delicate” condition. I am an almost 70 year old woman. I have survived Ovarian Cancer stage 3-C for the past 30 years. I have also done far better than predicted in terms of an operation which I had to have on my spine in 2011. I am a survivor of physical, psychological as well as sexual abuse. I have no memory of ever not being in pain for my life. I know that dairy products make things harder for me. Do you have any alternative ingredients you can suggest, perhaps soy?

  20. very entertaining
