ABOUT CHUNGAH

I am the founder, creator, food photographer and recipe developer of Damn Delicious®, a website established in 2011. What started as a grad school hobby using a simple Tumblr account has transformed into my full-time job and business, connecting with millions of readers all over the world with recipes that are regularly featured in major media such as People, TODAY, and Bon Appetit, among many others.

Moving away from sunny Los Angeles, I now reside in the Midwest with my family and corgi crew, cheering on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Why use Damn Delicious® recipes

  • Focusing on quick and easy. Here at Damn Delicious®, we focus on quick, easy, and effortless dinners for the everyday home cook to show you that it doesn’t take much to make a homemade meal, especially during those busy weeknights between school pick-up and soccer practice.
  • Easy to find ingredients. The recipes you find here require minimal prep and feature easy-to-find ingredients, making them no-fuss, affordable, and speedy. We’re talking minimal clean up, versatile pantry staples, one pan dinners, and budget-friendly meals with bold flavors for the entire family or weekend company.

  1. Just made the Sourdough Biscuits. They were
damn delicious and damn easy compared to other recipes
    I’ve seen. Thank you.

Would love to see you write a book on either
Bread Baking or vegetarian meal prep.

Will try making Pandesal next now that I have a
sourdough starter. It’s fun trying food from other
    countries.

  2. Hi sweetie- how do I pronounce your name?
    Love
    Chrissy

  3. You have the best and most delicious recipes.

  4. I’ve been following you for many many years. You are still my favorite! Your recipes are straightforward and delicious. Your photography is the BEST! Thank you!

  5. Hello. I stumbled across your website while surfing for a good dish to make for Cinco De Mayo. I was captivated by a photo of your SHEET PAN NACHOS. Then those biscuits… jeez! I don’t know who is taking your photos, but I want to try everything I see on this site. Excellent work.

  6. I have made many of your recipes, all turn out perfectly. I wanted to say your recipes are very good and reliable. I appreciate you sharing your Joy! I especially love the Maple Bacon Cheddar Biscuits ! I am working on making some of the Asian dishes. You deserve success and I am happy this is your full time job!! Your amazing!

  7. Dear Chunghah, Thank you for your endless creativity. Three times a week I entertain my family with one of your clearly organized and healthful recipes. I have bought your cookbook for both my 36 year old daughters, who are also very capable in the kitchen. (I know who taught them to cook :D) I hope CA life is agreeing with you, Ben and the Corgies. Nice Chupa, btw. Lucky man. Best from Concord, MA.

  8. I love food….

  9. I love your web site because I’m interested primarily in southeast asian recipes. The flavors, smells and textures of various foods not generally familiar to me, are gr!eat fun to make as long as they’re not too Americanized. I love authenticity but cannot always get ingredients in Wichita, Ks. I don’t do as much cooking and baking as I did prior to turning 82, but I still find your website and your recipes very interesting. Keep up the good work!

  10. I just have to let you know I get a chuckle out of what’s happening. I’ve been having Some operations lately and my phone keeps correcting my surgeon’s name to yours in all my correspondence!☺️ “Dr. Chungah”!!

  11. Me encanta haberla encontrado, gracias por sus recetas

  12. I just found you when I was looking for a Chinese chicken salad recipe. I’m a local Hawaiian girl and I’m familiar with this salad. I just like to browse and see how others make it. Anyway the reason I’m writing this email because I had to know more about you. I don’t usually do this. I love you and your family. You have a beautiful family especially the dogs. I hope you keep on creating these easy recipes. I cook a lot but I’m lazy and don’t like too many ingredients and a lot of prep. I’m so glad I stumbled onto your site. Will make the salad tonight.
    Aloha from Hawaii,
    Earlaina

  13. Is there a way to save your recipes either than Pinterest? I do not have it and I have no desire to be on it.

  14. I enjoy each suggestion – being a senior with lots fo time…I try but also send receipes to friends especially wives that enjoy cooking. We live in several states so enjoy the cultural exposure…my weakness is not cooking a firm but tasty corn or flour tortilla before the ingredients – perhaps you could provide some tips?
My wife and I live in New Mexico, Arizona and California…we are lucky but my results on the stove not so good. We also love Korean movies on netflix!

  15. Hi Chungah,  I just wanted to let you know I love your recipes and I have never made one that I didn’t love.  Your website is one of my go to sites when I’m looking for something delicious to make.
Thanks!!!  Give Butters and Cartman a pet for me.  I’m a huge corgi fan.

  16. What sort of salad or veg side should I serve with your delicious peanut chicken noodle dish??

    • My daughter loves your recipes so I’d like to get them, too.

  17. Been following you for years, and I cannot recommend you enough! I think my friends are tired of me always recommending you and your website. We even made an entire Thanksgiving dinner last year with exclusively Damn Delicious recipes. SO GOOD! Thank you for making meals that are doable in the kitchen.

  18. Found your Shrimp Carbonara to make for my wife on Valentine’s Day.  We had all of your simple, healthy ingredients.  It was a huge hit!  Delicious, easy, fast and you never know, might even help me get lucky!!  I’ll be following Damn Delicious from now on!

  19. I have just found Damn Delicious. I will be trying your recipes.

  20. I have followed you forever… and to confirm… I found your Harvest Chicken Salad that I saved in Feb 2013!  I LOVE knowing that each of your recipes are tested, confirmed and delicious…. Damn Delicious  Thank you for all you do!  ~Melanie
